My Movie Log of 2020!
I don't know why it was that I decided to keep track of all the movies I watched--or at least, completed--in 2020, but it was fun to look back over the year and see what I caught up with.
Some I watched more than once; I know Knives Out included a commentary track screening.
There were only 3 theatrical movies (and only one was new--the others were a part of MST3K live!)
Ii also caught up with 6 movies for the Friendly Neighborhood Webhead Podcast.
And there might've been more if I hadn't fallen down the rabbit hole of rewatching TV series (TNG, Psych) or straight catching new shows (Mandalorian, Lower Decks, Picard.)
Okay, all that aside the list is after the break!

Merry Christmas
2020 has been a year. But we're almost done, and the light's starting to show at the end of the tunnel.
But even so, like I said, it's been a YEAR.
This Christmas comic I did for a friend pretty much sums it up.
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and may 2021 bring safety, sanity, and no more depressed spirits.

The Down Side is BACK!
(The title was in homage to Mel Brooks -- quoting Spaceballs -- and not Gary Larson, but I'm certainly not above raising the Far Side in tribute.)
Anyways, the strip was basically a sitcom about the residents of an apartment complex. I may bring that concept back to the fore, but for now, The Down Side is mostly whatever silly joke pops into my head at the time I sit down to draw. (Though the Saint brothers have popped up in a few strips already...)
The reboot of the comic came back in December, when I started to do 2 comics a week over at my Patreon page ( http://www.patreon.com/erikburnham ) just to have some ready content available... and the other day I finally decided to get going on my plans to share them with non-patrons, too!
The strips will be a month or so behind Patreon, but you can read them for free over on twitter at:

Introducing the Friendly Neighborhood Webhead Podcast
One of those things is a new (limited maxi-series) podcast with my friend Ethan Colchamiro. We're calling it the Friendly Neighborhood Webhead Podcast, and yes, it's about Spider-Man.
Specifically, in each episode, we discuss a 30 minute block of the movie before switching to a comics topic. Two episodes have been released (and should be available wherever you find your podcasts) with more ready and waiting.
Episodes 1-4, all completed, focus on the first Spider-Man film by Sam Raimi.

Two New Miniseries Starting This Month!
Happy New Year!
I've been a busy fella lately, keeping up with my Patreon (at www.patreon.com/erikburnham), where I've had new comic strips and panels up every Tuesday and Thursday, as well as scripts and other content.
I've also been busy working on two new comics, both debuting this month, and you'll see more after the jump!
First, GHOSTBUSTERS: YEAR ONE from IDW. In honor of the new film - Ghostbusters: Afterlife - Dan Schoening, Luis Antonio Delgado, and me, well... we're doing a series set in the very earliest days of the Ghostbusters' story.
Obviously, I know in-universe the Ghostbusters weren't in business for a year by the time Gozer arrived, but it's an appropriate title, isn't it?
The miniseries features a writer -- a ghost writer? -- named Rebecca Morales who is interviewing the team for a book done to capitalize on interest after their battle with the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
Issue One features Winston Zeddemore's first bust after being hired on by the company.
Issue Two focuses on Ray Stantz, and the Ghostbusters' return to the New York Public Library to finish their business with the Librarian.
Issue Three shows the Ghostbusters' call to fashionable danceclub The Rose, a story related by Peter Venkman.
and finally, Issue Four focuses on Egon Spengler and the first attempt to deposit a ghost into the containment unit.
That's four, and we hope you love them!
My OTHER series is RED SONJA: AGE OF CHAOS from Dynamite. It sends Chastity, Purgatori, Evil Ernie and more to the Hyborian Age, and puts them on a collision course with the Hyrkanian She-Devil!
Six issues for that mini.
Both start in the next few weeks.
Enjoy!
