2014 Update!
It’s Memorial Day.
First thing I’d like to do is give thanks to those who fought for this country.
Next, I’d like to tease two secret projects that have yet to be announced! One is for this fall, the other is for early 2015. More news as it develops.
Finally, as of right now, I’ve finished up all my scheduled convention appearances for 2014. I’m looking for ways to attend a couple of others yet this year, and have a few appearances I expect to make (but I never want to count my chickens before they hatch!) I’ll announce those as plans firm up.
As it stands though, we’ll see what happens. If you would like to see me at a convention, ask the promoters to reach out! I’d love to go more places.
Okay, it may be a holiday, but I have some work to do. Have a great week, everyone!

No Wizard World…
Owing to a heavy workload, I will no longer be able to attend this weekend’s inaugural Wizard World Minneapolis, to say nothing of FCBD events.
I’ll still be at SpringCon (knock wood!)

Appearance: C2E2 2014!
I was at the very first C2E2 in 2010 — all I remember was that allergies were kicking my butt and it was a nifty con.
I was scheduled to go again in 2012, but that fell apart at the last minute.
But who cares about those times? All that matter is that I’ll be at C2E2 this year, at table L-13 with Scott McCullar (my former Shooting Star Comics compadre, and he of Thrill Seeker Comics.)
I’ll be taking a short list of pre-order sketches!
Bust sketches (color or graytoned) on 8×10 cardstock for $30. If you want something larger/different than a bust, we can discuss it, but if it’s too big and crazy I can’t promise I’ll complete it before show (those crazy deadlines!) Commissions may also come captioned, if you guys want it! (And thus they become comics!)
To sign up, just give me a yell through my facebook page (link to the left) or via erik DOT burnham AT gmail DOT COM!
I’ll also be bringing prints and comics — and all payment’ll be taken at the show!
See you all in a couple of weeks!

Emerald City Comic Con, Turtles in Time, and Johnny Bravo!
Well, I have a few things to talk about.
First: New Projects!
I wrote the Johnny Bravo tie-in to IDW’s “Cartoon Network Super Secret Crisis War” event! JB should be streeting in July, with art by the awesome… actually, I’m not sure I can say yet. But I can’t stress the “awesome”part enough. I’m lucky to be working with such a killer cartoonist!
Johnny has some of my favorite gags, if only because they would work with no other character.
Next, also in July (by a technicality) I’m co-writing a 4 issue TMNT mini-series with Paul Allor! Paul is writing issues 1 and 4, while I do issues 2 and 3. (#2 should street in July.)
Issue #2 sees me re-teaming with CP Wilson III (of The Stuff of Legend, Wraith, and of course, the SPLINTER micro). I absolutely can’t wait to see what he does with the script!
Even though it’s not new, we can’t forget MASS HYSTERIA, the Ghostbusters 30th anniversary story by me, Dan Schoening, and Luis Antonio Delgado! The numbers are pretty good for an indie licensed book going on three years old — but we’d love for them to be higher! Talk to your comic shop (or hit up Comixology) and subscribe!
Speaking of Dan Schoening, he and I will be tabling together at the 2014 EMERALD CITY COMIC CON in Seattle! I’m really excited – been hearing great things about this show for YEARS, and it’ll be great to hang out with Dapper Dan for a couple of days.
We’ll have an exclusive (and severely limited) print for the show called 1984… stop by table FF-04 to get your copy while you can!
And finally, here’s a handy map to locate us….. (click to enlarge if you need to!)

Happy New Year, and — Wait, It’s already the 17th?!?
I have had a whirlwind beginning to the year — it started with being dead sick around the holidays, and segued into work, work, work (some should be announced soon!)
But I wanted to drop an update.
This upcoming Wednesday, January 22, my installment of IDW’s X-FILES: CONSPIRACY event hits comic shops everywhere — CONSPIRACY: GHOSTBUSTERS sees the boys in grey meeting up with the Lone Gunmen!
I’ve also updated my con appearances over the first half of con season (though, to be honest, I’m not sure how many cons I’ll be doing over the back half of the year, yet!)
Time to get back to work! Mass Hysteria starts next month, don’t forget!
