Pampering Children

Parents pamper their children by trying to fulfil all their desires. They often ignore the faults of their children, hoping that they will outgrow them. Demonstrating one’s love in these ways is not commendable. As a result of this, children are not aware of the realities of life, and grow up spoilt.

Simple Living

Simplicity is a must in order to lead a purposeful life. Simplicity saves man from unnecessary expenditure and distractions—things that hamper him in working towards achieving his goal in life.

More than anything

A spiritual person can bear every loss, for he feels that any loss, which is material in nature, is always far less in comparison to what he still has in his possession, in terms of spirituality; and that is a treasure that no one can take away from him.

Dual World

Our world is a dual world – a world of things, a world of meanings. When one raises oneself to a level where material things become secondary; and inner meanings become of prime importance, then one is a spiritual person.

Without enquiry

Passing everything on to others without investigation is dangerous habit. The right way is to investigate anything one hears.

Bearing Losses

Anyone who has divided his time and his energy in many activities cannot achieve a great goal. A great goal necessarily requires total dedication, that is, working for a specific target by making concerted effort. One incurs losses at various fronts due to this concentration on one goal, but the secret of any great success lies in bearing these losses.

Peaceful Bomb

Spirituality is like a peaceful bomb. A physical bomb can destroy cities, but the spiritual bomb hits man himself. And when man is conquered, nothing else is left to be conquered.

Wise Course

The truth is that in this world the choice for the individual lies not between a life with problems and a life without problems, but between one kind of difficulty and another. If one’s attempt at resolving one problem is only going to lead to some other problem, the wise course would be for man to remain content with the previous set of problems which had fallen to his lot.

Sincerity

When you are a sincere person, you cannot afford to go against your conscience or moral norms. Sincerity invites you to ponder over the situation, to try to choose the best course of action, even if it is against your desires.

Second Best

The best formula of life is: Try, try by all means to achieve the very best, but when you feel that you can only get the second best then accept it gracefully.
