Law of Nature

“For men, opportunities will never cease.” Just as morning is always followed by night, so does success inevitably follow failure. However, just as the earth must revolve unceasingly if morning is to follow night, so must man be unremitting in his struggle to reach his final goal.

I will do it

Those who are conscious of their own rights will always make demands upon others. Their formula is: Others have to give to us. While the duty conscious person will always think in terms of self-construction. He will always try to fulfil his own duty. The formula of a rights-conscious person is: they must do it, while the formula of a duty-conscious person is: I will do it.

Keep your mind alive forever

It is a fact that intellectual discovery is the most thrilling experience. A discovery made by Archimedes while he was bathing gave him such a thrill that he leapt out of his bath, shouting: Eureka! Eureka! And such a thrill is great food for the intellect. This process staves off intellectual starvation, thus making the discoverer permanently alive and young.

Ignorance as a stepping stone

To know that you do not know is half knowledge itself. If an ignorant person is not aware of his ignorance, he will continue to remain in the same state. But when he becomes aware of his ignorance, he sets about seeking for knowledge. In this way his awareness of his ignorance will become the stepping-stone leading towards full knowledge.

In life, sometimes, we achieve and sometimes we lose. But, both these are temporary. It is the temporary nature of the experience of life that creates challenge. Challenge creates competition, and competition leads to different kinds of experience. It is this challenge-response mechanism, through which we unfold our potential.

Real and Relative

In this world man sometimes loses, sometimes gains. These vicissitudes are the common lot. No one is exempt from them. Losing and winning are not in themselves important. What is of actual importance is how people conduct themselves when facing these experiences.

Path of Patience

Patience will ensure that whenever one has some bitter experience, he will opt for the way of tolerance rather than that of reaction to provocation. It will enable one to absorb shocks and to continue, undeterred, on one’s onward journey.

Contentment

A feeling of contentment enables a person to rise above trivialities and live in the higher realities. In short, he practices simple living and high thinking.
