Two Short Stories

Follow-up on Teaser

I know that Dmitrii Aleksandrovich and I agreed when we started this blog that we would write our own separate posts on different subjects, but it still feels strange to me to mention another author's work. However, earlier this year I did bring up Dmitrii Suslin's fairytale/fantasy series Country of Frozen Time and I would like to follow up now by pointing out that the translation of the first book Knight Caterino is now ready and can be found here. I hope you will enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed translating it.

Cold Snap

With the sudden cold snap, we lost access to the internet until now. The wind was so strong that the technicians could not get up to fix the cables. Communication was only via the telephone. The sun is out now and the city has started to thaw. There are swans frozen to death on the shore and many starlings perished because they could not feed off the frozen ground. So sad!

Happy New Year, everybody! I hope you are all keeping to your New Year resolutions. I have long since given up on making any. The holiday season had been very hectic and the past year was very, very busy. But, busy is good. In case you are wondering, I have not given up on Dmitrii Aleksandrovich's longer works, just that they take time. Translation of HDive 2 is finished, it is now up to the editors. For those of you who have read my translations here, you would know that I also work with other Russian authors. Last year, Dmitrii Suslin approached me about his fairytale/fantasy series Страна Остановленного времени and I am working on the first book Knight Caterino . I am sure that anyone who enjoys Dmitrii Aleksandrovich's works would enjoy Dmitrii Iurevich's works too.
