Marketing– EEEEW!
The book is done. I found a publisher. It's coming out soon–yay. Apparently that was the fun part. Now I have to sell myself and my book. How do I do that? I can't just walk up to strangers and say "Hi, I'm Eve Langlais and I wrote this fabulous book. Will you please buy it? Pretty please."
I know, pathetic.
But I've been researching. Apparently I can avoid the embarrassment of mumbling my own accolades to strangers. I can market myself on the internet without the face to face anxiety. Problem ...

The Hardest Thing About Writing
Is waiting. And waiting and waiting some more.
Seriously. The writing part is a rush. Even when I'm done a story and I revisit it to make sure it flows and flesh it out some more is fun. But then you send it off, this poor child of your mind and you wait. And wait to see if someone else loves it as much as you do.
And the worst part is no matter what a website says about response time wether it be 4,6, 8 weeks or a year, you start watching your email five seconds after you send it. And you...

Lucifer's Daughter is DONE!
I have to say of the five stories I've completed since I started writing last year, this is my favorite. Sorry Hunter, but you just got bumped. Done in a first person perspective, I had so much fun writing this piece. I never knew what Muriel, my princess from hell, would say or do next. And Auric, the hero. Damn he's hot.
This piece is much spicier than my other work, not intentional, Muriel just wanted it that way LOL.
Loving this piece, I took a deep breath and submitted it to Samhain...

My imagination is holding me hostage!
Seriously. Lucifer's Daughter just won't let me go. 33k words in less than a week and it's still flying. I'm figuring I'll hit somewhere between 38k and 40k on this one. The best part? This story is going to need a sequel or two.
Muriel, my princess from hell, has taken hold of my imagination and is making my fingers fly. On the more erotic side than my previous work, this story is fast paced, amusing and very titillating (just ask my husband who's been reaping the rewards). With a cast of...

Writing Update
I've noticed other writers blogging about their submissions and current projects. I'm not sure if anyone cares, but in case you do here's my update.
Chance's Game — sequel to Take A Chance — I am hoping to hear back soon on this one as the full manuscript request was back in November. Fingers crossed. I love this one cause the gods in it are a hoot!
Ice Princess — I took a big plunge on this one and submitted to the new publisher Carina Press. I'm expecting to be rejected as I've noticed ...

Rosie
Who is Rosie you ask?
Only mankinds most wonderful invention ever! A mechanical marvel. What the hell am I talking about I'm sure is your next question.
My Rhoomba.
A Christmas gift from my husband who knows how much I hate to vacuum. My Rhoomba, nicknamed Rosie in honour of Judy Jetson's awesome home helper, is a hands free vacuum. Seriously. Want to vacuum your living room, just pick up the clutter, set Rosie down, press a button and off she goes. 45 minutes later, I have a clean room. Then s...
