Victory is a Lifestyle
You are a supernatural propeller; you cause a wake to follow behind you wherever you go. You’re a kingdom advancer, who brings others along with them.
A TASTE FOR VICTORY
Success breeds success. One victory leads to another. That’s why victory must become a lifestyle – aka: momentum.
Brother Webster defines momentum like this:
1. The quantity of motion in a moving body, being always proportioned to the quantity of matter multiplied into the velocity; impetus.
2. An impelling force of strength.
Momentum starts with action. It needs an impetus or impelling force of strength to begin moving forward. That means you have a responsibility to act. You have to be intentional about upgrade.
Know this: progressive people get more progressive. Learning people get more power to learn. Generous people get more power to give and loving people get more power to love. Awesome is the the power of momentum!
Whoever has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.
– Matthew 13:12
Never underestimate the power of momentum, especially in your walk with Christ. He hates mediocrity and designed you to chase after upgrade. So many in the church never understand this principle.
But that’s not you!

Pain is Only Temporary
Though it is a fact that Christians suffer pain, truth trumps fact! And the truth is, grace overrides pain. The Lord will stand beside you, arms interlocked and provide you with protection. Stand by and see the Glory of God!
THREE PAINFUL TRUTHS
When it comes to pain, there are three truths you can count on:
1. Life is painful — even for believers.
2. Sometimes it is good to feel pain.
3. Pain is only temporary.
It is a lie from the pit of hell that God doesn’t want us to feel pain. In fact, hoping to help unbelievers make a decision to follow Jesus, many well-meaning Christians resort to false advertising. They actually tell people that once they become a believer, their problems will vanish and Jesus will make everything great.
Now, this is the truth, but not here on this earth and not right now.
“In this world you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world.”
– John 16:33
Jesus, himself, warned us that there would be pain in this life. He experienced physical, emotional and spiritual pain every day He was here on earth. He was aware of the human condition before He became an embryo in a Jewish teenager’s womb, yet He came anyway. Why?
To establish an end point for your pain through salvation!
I can’t help but think the main reason God is a jealous for His throne – that He doesn’t want you and I to follow the devil’s example and want to be our own god – is because the job of God is so painful, He’d never wish it on any of us!
As a parent, it is painful to watch your children struggle. It’s painful to watch them be sick, hurting, lost, lonely, prideful, angry, imprisoned or addicted. This is what God feels watching us, His kids. He is the perfect Father, yet we rebel against Him. Oh, how we grieve Him!
So, don’t buy into the lie that the Christian life should be painless. As long as you’re walking this earth, you will continue to experience, and even cause, pain.
THROUGH HIS DEATH AND RESURRECTION, YOU CAN PUT A TIME LIMIT ON YOUR PAIN. CALL ON HIS NAME AND FOLLOW HIM!

It's Time to Be Famous in Hell
God sees you as one who steps out even in the face of fear. He calls you a mighty warrior of valor.
IT'S GOOD TO BE FAMOUS IN HELL
I’ve had lots of prophetic things spoken to me through the years. Some by people of God. Some by the devil himself. This is the true story of one of Hell’s prophets.
I was invited to speak one-on-one with several inmates in solitary confinement in a prison just outside of Huntsville, Texas. When I went to introduce myself to one individual, he interrupted me and said, “I know who you are, Troy Brewer. You are going to die a horrible death and blah, blah, blah…”
He proceeded to pronounce curse after curse at me and upon my family before spitting right into the glass where my face was! I had never seen this man in my life, but he was calling me by name and declaring things for me that, privately, I’m afraid of. He didn’t know me, but the devil within him did.
So I started yelling back, “You are not the author and the finisher of my faith. No weapon formed against me shall prosper.”
He banged his head against the wall and started chanting my name over and over. I quoted every scripture I could think of at the top of my lungs. The two of us made so much racket that I was ushered back to the chaplain’s office.
While the slanderous outburst caught me off guard and gave me the heebie-jeebies, I had a lot of time to think about what happened in that prison cell. On my three-hour drive home, it occurred to me that it’s good to be famous in Hell.
The Bible records the seven sons of Sceva went to take on a demon-possessed man, but they bit off more that they could chew. Those fools went toe-to-toe with a demon without the power of Christ when they said, “We command you in the name of Jesus that Paul preaches…”
Acts 19:15-17 records what happened next.
But the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, mastered all of them, and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
The devil’s answer was that he had never heard of them. Not only did he beat the fire out of them, they left naked! I’ve determined from this scripture that it is good to be famous in hell.
I hope the devil wakes up every morning cussing me and goes to bed cussing me! I hope your name is No. 2, just under mine on the devil’s top 10 hit list! I hope that the very mention of your name brings to mind terrible disappointment and thoughts of opportunity lost to that cosmic punk. To hell with the devil!
TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO MAKE YOURSELF FAMOUS IN HELL.BECOME HIS ITCH THAT NEVER GETS SCRATCHED BY GLORIFYING JESUS WITH YOUR SERVICE, WITNESS AND LOVE! SEND HIS DEMONS PACKING BECAUSE YOU ARE MORE THAN A CONQUEROR!

Your Destiny is Greater Than Your History
God is calling you to higher and higher levels with Him. It is vital that you not only know about Him historically, but know Him…know Who He is, His heart, and how He operates in love. When you do this, it will be easy to recognize where He is at work and where He isn’t.
DESTINY VS. HISTORY
The goodness of God is not just seen in the past, but is calling from the future. People who fight for what can be, understand that God says their destiny is much greater than their history.
Fear of the future and a fascination with the past are the enemies of upgrade. It was the same way in Jesus’ day. He turned to the religious folks of His generation and called it like Babe Ruth pointing to the sky behind left field before hitting it out of the ballpark.
“You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.”
– John 5:38-39
In other words, Jesus said they were willing to know the scriptures or things written long ago, but were not willing to know Him, right then in the present. They knew the Word, but wouldn’t move forward to relationship with Him. Is that you?
If it is, you have settled or history and given up on experience. You have settled for revelation without accepting the invitation to personally encounter the One the Word is talking about. You won’t move forward.
The religious leaders of Jesus’ day did not recognize Him because He was not in the same place working the same method as they were. They wouldn’t move forward and it cost them everything.
But that’s not you! Your destiny is greater than your history and you’re not afraid to go for it!
TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO HAVE A GREAT RESPECT FOR SCRIPTURE, BUT A HIGHER VALUE FOR PERSONALLY KNOWING THE AUTHOR OF THE WORDGO AFTER THE HEART OF JESUS AND THE PRESENCE OF FATHER GOD.

Evil Is Just Plain "LESS"
Today you purpose to want more of God and less of anything less. His power gives life everlasting and life more abundantly. We don’t partner with death, we live for His manifest presence and we are aware there is no substitute. Watch for opportunities to want and to find more of Him.
EVIL IS JUST PLAIN "LESS"
One thing the Bible makes clear, and my experience backs up, is that evil is “less” – it is toothless, venom-less and defenseless. It is clearly less than good.
Bonnie and Clyde, John Dillinger and even Pablo Escobar were all feared as being unstoppable evil. They were also rounded up and shot by Texans who were not afraid to hunt them down and put an end to their reign of terror.
When the American military came knocking, Osama bin Laden, the mastermind of 9-11 which changed our world forever, tried to hide behind one of his wives. Likewise, Sadam Hussein was found cowering in a spider hole full of fleas. See my point?
Then, there is Al Capone. He was the meanest gangster bully ever, but he spent several years in the fetal position in cell 181 on Alcatraz Island. He wept so much through the night, the other inmates called him names and made fun of him. He died from the insanity and pain that syphilis and gonorrhea had brought him. His tombstone reads, “My Jesus, Mercy.”
Now with ruthless murderers like Capone, we don’t want to think about their possible redemption. We don’t sit around hoping he found Jesus and we’ll see him in Heaven. It’s natural, and I mean that word for what it is, that we want to see him punished and pay for the horrible evil he dealt others on earth.
However, no matter how evil someone has been during their life, the goodness of Jesus is greater! True power is the power to forgive and save. Evil can’t do that.
Here is an example from the book of Joshua. Waiting for the Lord’s instructions on how to take the evil city of Jericho, Joshua looks up and sees a mighty warrior with a sword standing in front of him. He asks the question we all want to ask and gets an answer none of us would expect.
Joshua went up to him and asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?”
“Neither,” he replied, “But as commander of the army of the Lord, I have now come.” Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, “What message does my Lord have for His servant?”
– Joshua 5:13-14
Joshua asked a wise question: whose side are you on – good or evil? The reply Jesus gave dropped Joshua to his knees in worship: “Neither.”
You see, if the evil people of Jericho would have repented and asked for forgiveness, Jesus would have extended it and saved them. That’s the power of good over evil. It is a power each of us who are saved should be so grateful for, we should want to see it extended, even to the Al Capone’s of this world.
TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO EMBRACE THE POWER OF GOOD.IT OVERCOMES EVIL MEN AND THEIR DEEDS WHEN THEY REPENT AND BELIEVE IN THE SAVING GRACE OF JESUS.

Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth
God is in the process of transforming your mind. Give those thoughts that keep barraging your mind that you know are not God to God. Let His Word pour into you to radically transform your mind. Don’t forget that you have the mind of Christ!
Basic Instruction Before Leaving Earth
It’s amazing to me that some of the smartest people on planet Earth aren’t very wise. Take this quote from the talented artist and songwriter Terry Riley for example:
“The incredible thing about the human mind is that it didn’t come with an instruction book.”
We’ve all heard the tired young couple with a newborn say, “Wish they came with an instruction manual!”
Well, they do. The oldest, most distributed book in the world, the Bible, is a God-given book of instruction on how we are to live, think and what we are to think about. How do I know this?
The word “mind” appears 187 times in the Bible. The word “soul” (thinking, will, emotions) appears 536 times, while “think” appears in 82 scriptures and “imagine” is written 46 times. “Consider” and “suppose” appear another 76 times. The grand total? 816 instruction to shape our thought lives. Why?
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he
-Proverbs 23:7
It’s true! We become what we think about! That’s why God is greatly concerned with our thought life.
Do you want the God of peace to be with you? Of course, you do! Then think about good, pure and excellent things because HE IS good, pure and excellent! Now there is some great advice, or instruction, from the Word of God!
Those who maintain the myth that God didn’t give us an instruction manual for our brains, never came across 1 Corinthians 12. Look it up! It’s one of the most important instruction manuals you will ever read.
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable – if anything is excellent or praiseworthy – think about such things. Whatever you have learned for received or heard from me, or seen in me – put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.”TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO TURN AWAY FROM THE MYTH THAT YOU CANNOT CONTROL YOUR MIND.

Green Means "GO!"
It’s time to step out in faith and “Go for it!” God has not given you a spirit of fear, but power, love and a sound mind. He is calling you out of the valleys and into the hills where there is no place for fear.
RELIGION'S RED LIGHT
Religion trains us to think the worst thing that can happen is to do something wrong — to fail. But Jesus teaches the worst thing that can happen is for you to do nothing at all!
Are you ready to fight through this with me?
In Matthew 25, Jesus tells a story about a man who was afraid to do what his master had commissioned him to do. Instead of taking the master’s coin to the marketplace and gaining more, for fear of losing the one coin, he simply did nothing. When the master returned from a trip, the man gave him back the single coin. The response is shocking…
“You wicked and lazy servant… you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest… take the (coin) from him… and cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”
-Matthew 25:14-30
Apparently, God takes advancement and multiplication very seriously. In this parable, His wrath is displayed not at the mistakes we make in moving forward, but in the mistake of refusing to move at all. Don’t miss this point!
Jesus came to give us abundant life. To reject that out of fear is to say His sacrifice is not enough. And if it’s not enough for you, it’s surely not enough for your friends, family and co-workers, so there’s no need to share Jesus with them. You will never advance His kingdom or His plan for your life. You don’t want to hear yourself asking, “Why is it so hot in here and how did I get in this hand basket?”

Miracles In The Midst Of Chaos
God’s ministering angels surround and protect you. You can have peace in the midst of chaos because God is with you.
MIRACLES AT THE WEDGWOOD SHOOTING
Sept. 15, 1999 was a typical Wednesday. As our little church was gearing up for mid-week service, one of our members ran in and told me there had been a shooting at Wedgwood Baptist in neighboring Fort Worth.
I immediately knew what church it was. Reports were foggy. At that point, all anyone knew was a gunman had walked into the church and started shooting. It was feared some were dead.
After our service, I ran to the TV. The local news was on all night as updates came in. There were people dead, most of them kids. Others were fighting for their lives in the hospital. It was a terrible time for some wonderful Christian people.
It wasn’t a regular church service. It was a room full of teenagers gathered for a rally. The band “40 Days” was playing. I believe this was a prophetic message of the period of trial and testing the people present would go through. Anyway, the kids were all having fun when Larry Gene Ashbrook, a 47-year-old jobless man known for violent rages and conspiracy writings, busted into the room yelling and cursing Jesus.
He pointed his pistol at the bewildered teenagers and began pulling the trigger. In a 10-minute rampage, he killed seven people and wounded seven more before putting a bullet in his own brain.
Maybe you heard about this tragedy as it was reported around the world, nonstop for days. If you did, it’s time you heard the other side of the story – the miracles of that bloody night.
Before Larry Ashbrook walked into the youth room, he shot out some of the windows beside the children’s playground. That playground should have been filled with little ones, but every single children’s class was running late and didn’t make it outside. Miraculous!
Members of the band said Ashbrook unloaded on them. While he hit a lot of their equipment, none of the musicians were hit.
In the midst of the shooting, Ashbrook threw a homemade pipe bomb into the middle of the kids. Miraculously, the bottom of the bomb fell off and it didn’t detonate.
As the killer shouted obscenities and used kids for target practice, Mary Beth Talley, 17, saw a mentally disabled teen in the shooters sights. She threw herself on top of the handicapped girl, taking a bullet in the back. Miraculously, Mary Beth had scoliosis. The curvature of her spine redirected the bullet so it missed her vital organs.
In the melee, a boy with a troubled past who had recently been saved, sat straight up in the line of fire. With his head bowed, he prayed, “Lord, let this end!” Many hands tried to pull him under a pew, but the Spirit of the Lord moved him.
Jeremiah Neitz jumped to his feet and confronted Ashbrook not with his strong, muscular body, but with the love of God. “Sir, what you need is Jesus Christ. You can shoot me if you want, but I know where I’m going. I’m going to Heaven. What about you, sir?”
As mad as those words made Ashbrook, the love of God in Jeremiah’s voice shut the gunman down. He answered the question by sitting in a pew and sending himself to hell.
When the rubber hit the road. Jeremiah stood with Jesus and called out evil with love. He didn’t plan what to say. God provided the words.
…do not be anxious beforehand about what you are to say, but say whatever is given to you in that hour; for it is not you who speaks, but it is the Holy Spirit.
– Mark 13:11-12
Though he fired 100 bullets into a crowd of 400, only 14 were hit. Ashbrook still had 60 bullets left. Miraculous. And so is the testimony of those who lived and died that night in Fort Worth.
“I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is being reported all over the world.”TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO REMEMBER THOSE WHO HAVE DIED FOR THEIR FAITH.

Is A Christian's Life Painless?
Praying that your life has very little pain and suffering. However, when it does come your way, you will be able to look out the window and see other’s hard times without spending so much time looking in the mirror at your own. You are an overcomer in Jesus’ name!
THE MYTH OF A LIFE WITHOUT PAIN
Remember, God doesn’t ask a question because He doesn’t know the answer. He asks for our benefit. So we’ll be forced to know and own the answer to our messed up thinking, especially where pain and suffering are concerned.
Consider these questions…
Who told you God doesn’t want you to have pain?
Who told you life is supposed to be comfortable?
Who told you times are never supposed to be hard?
Who told you Christians never get sick, fired, wrongly accused or addicted?
I see this thinking pattern a lot in Americans. Thinking that God only wants us to feel good is a bunch of Oscar Meyer!
Someone who makes a big deal out of their pain is clueless to the pain of others. Someone who thinks we are never supposed to feel pain is led by what feels good – the beast within – and not by the Spirit of God. Job, hit by the worst Satan could muster, said it best when he said,
If his sons are honored, he does not know it; if they are brought low, he does not see it. He feels but the pain of his own body and mourns only for himself.
– Job 14:21-22
In other words, the Bible declares a good way to miss the important things in life is to focus on your pain. When we wrongly think we’re not supposed to have pain, we tend to have a meltdown when the walk God sets before us begins to hurt. We miss the good when we focus on the bad.
TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO CONFRONT THAT WAY OF THINKING.TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR THOUGHTS AND GET RID OF THE MESS IN YOUR MIND. KNOW THIS: PAIN IS A PART OF HUMAN LIFE, AND THAT’S THE TRUTH.

Aggressive?
You have been invited to exclusiveness; your upgrade is going to take you into places you only dreamed of. It will be a new way of doing things that will bring you closer to the heart of God than the heart of men.
AGGRESSIVE?
The power of upgrade moves you from the cheap seats to box seats in a given area of your life. This is in direct proportion to your willingness to move forward within that arena.
The key to upgrade is that when God grants you a breakthrough, you must be prepared to go to the next level again and again and again without stopping.
The Kingdom is not for people who fear change and pine for the good old days. The Kingdom of God is transformational and so are the people who go through it with momentum.
And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.
– Matthew 11:12
If you’re not sure what Jesus was saying in this text, maybe this newer translation will help you sink your teeth into it:
From the days of John the Baptist until now, the Kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.
– Matthew 11:12
Be forceful! Go after that thing you want for the kingdom.
Do you want to start a new ministry? Take that first step. Are you hoping to adopt a child or start an orphanage? Go for it! Are you looking to start a new business venture to make money to give to missions? Jump right in! Have a heart for the homeless? Follow that vision! BE INTENTIONAL!
TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO BE FORCEFUL IN YOUR WALK WITH JESUS.STEP FORWARD INTO UPGRADE AND LET THE MOMENTUM TAKE YOU FROM VICTORY TO VICTORY FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD!
