STEP TOWARD YOUR DESTINY
It’s time to take a step of faith. Where is God asking you to step out? He has put a dream in your heart. Take the first step toward that dream.
ONE SMALL STEP FOR MAN...On July 16, 1969 at 13:32 EDT, a three man crew soared with wings of eagles past the earth’s atmosphere to the moon. Prophetically, the lunar module was named Eagle.
When I think of what those guys endured to break through the earth’s gravity, it blows my mind! With the computer technology of a modern wrist watch, Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins did what most thought impossible. They orbited, then landed on the moon.
The mission commander, Armstrong said, “Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed.” With those eight words, a new era of space exploration had begun. In the Bible, eight means “new beginnings.”
A few minutes later, Armstrong said some other prophetic words, “One small step for man. One giant leap for mankind,” as he left an American flag and some footprints to mark his territory. Yes, man’s accomplishments were on display! Note the name “Arm-strong” and I think you get the picture.
Though it was a wonder that men were able to accomplish such a feat, there was a man who has done so much greater. You see, 2,000 years ago, this man left his footprints in the dust of planet earth. Instead of leaving earth to go to the heavens, He left heaven to come to earth. His impact upon this world is felt today as millions across the globe follow in those footsteps.
As man vowed to return to the moon, Jesus vowed to come back to earth. His original goal was accomplished and His vow to return will be fulfilled sooner than you and I think!
While you and I cannot step in the footprints of Aldrin, Collins or Armstrong, we can certainly follow the footsteps of Jesus. He has laid out the path of redemption and it leads to a big mansion where rooms for you and I await. Rooms in His Father’s house where we will be part of the family. All we need to do is step where He steps!
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. – Psalms 37:23

STEELING THE MIND
Build up your defense against Satan’s attacks by thanking and praising God for His grace and goodness. He has your back when the devil comes against you. You and the Lord are a majority!
ARMOR UP!Are you ready for a demonic attack on your thought life? Many of us think we are, when in reality, the devil has a head start.
Remember, he’s been messing with minds for around 6,000 years so he’s good at it, like really good. If you think you can withstand a sneak attack from the father of lies himself, stop and think about the number of pastors, evangelists and upright Christians he has devoured because they didn’t recognize the enemy sneaking past the gates of their mind.
How will you keep evil from taking over your head? You had better armor up!
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. – Ephesians 6:13
The evil day is coming my friend and you’ve got to have your defenses up, or you will not be able to stand – and He has specifically called you to stand!
God has not called you to “hang in there” because you are vulnerable when you’re hanging from something. You are called to STAND. It does no good to stand if you’re not armored up, so check out exactly how this works.
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; – Ephesians 6:14-17
Notice all these pieces are defensive except the Sword of the Spirit. That’s because you’re under attack every day and you need to withstand so that you can counterattack with the weapon of the Word. The devil will attack your mind with lustful, jealous, angry, sensual, prideful, greedy, selfish thoughts – all day, every day. Whether you fall for them is up to you.
Be prepared! Suit up and stay standing.

OPEN THE DOOR
Behold! The Lord stands at the door and knocks. Hear His voice. Let Him in. Sup with Him and thank Him for the miracle of provision He brings your way. Remember, Jesus calls you family!
THE MESSAGE IN THE MIRACLEIf you need a miracle of provision in your life, let me encourage you: Jesus still shows up on doorsteps. He still makes house calls. He goes door-to-door to this day asking to be let in.
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” – Revelation 3:20
When He says He will come in and eat with us, Jesus paints the picture of a family meal – a bunch of people sitting and eating together like the end of each episode of “Duck Dynasty.” He wants us to be join His family.
As good at that is, here’s the take-home: Jesus doesn’t knock with His hand. He knocks with His voice. Many times we are looking for the hand of God to move in our lives, but we fail to listen for the voice of God speaking to us! Learn to listen!
As wonderful as God’s miracles are, we don’t live by them. We live by faith and faith comes from “hearing,” the Bible says.
If you need it, your miracle is coming! Beware: you don’t want to look for it at the expense of missing the Master speak into your life. Make sure that if you’re looking for a free gift from God, you don’t miss His greatest gift, Jesus asking you to be part of His family. Jesus is truly the gift that keeps on giving!
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. God did not send His Son into the world to judge the world, but to save it through Him. – John 3:16-17
THIS IS A GOOD DAY TO LISTEN. HE SPOKE THE WORLD INTO EXISTENCE. HIS VOICE CAN SURELY BRING YOU DELIVERANCE.

THE GOOD GUYS
God is setting you up to be the good guy. Stand firm and be prepared. Bring out your warrior skills to keep the enemy at bay.
CALLING ALL WARRIORS!Persecution is coming in America against those of us who follow good and demonstrate God’s goodness.
Notice I didn’t say persecution was coming to America? That’s because it’s coming from America against its own Christian citizens. Look at the news, social media and entertainment. We are already being called evildoers when, in fact, we are not.
Let’s get one thing straight – the good guys are warriors!
The enemy, and those under his dark influence, needs to defame Christians so he can remove any influence we have over the culture. Is it maddening? Yes, but this is part of the end times program. It’s not the fun part, but it is necessary. Why? Because we need to be set apart from the world and firmly planted as the good guys.
We are close to the return of Jesus. As the time shortens, people will be deceived, and a big part of that deception, the Bible warns, is that the world will call good “evil” and evil will be called “good.”
A quick example is the growing popularity of the TV program “Lucifer.” Aimed at tweens, teens and 20-somethings, the devil-himself is portrayed as a handsome, charming and downright likable guy who just wants to give being good a shot. In fact, he’s been misjudged all these eons and truly wishes to change. Evil being swapped for good right before millions of eyes.
People are already falling for these lies!
Now, that means the good guys – you, me and all the other drop-dead sold out Jesus freaks – will become outcasts. Noah can testify, that’s what happens when society doesn’t have any value for truth.
And so it is today. The world is celebrating evil more and more. Soon, it will hate good and love evil. The antagonism against good will grow exponentially – the Bible is very clear about that. Should you circle your wagons and protect yourself and your family?
No! You need to fight for the souls of those who persecute you. You not only need to continue doing good in Jesus’ name, step up your efforts to love people into the kingdom! The time is short. Lock and load your spiritual weapons because war is upon us!
And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.” But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers , those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. – 1 Peter 3:13-16

BREAD OR BATTLE?
Taking the first step toward spiritual change is often repeated, sometimes daily and even in succession. The culmination of what might seem like a thousand baby steps “on hind’s feet” (Habakkuk 3:17-19) is what leads to your mountain top experience. Enjoy the view, and don’t forget where you came from!
MANNA FROM HEAVENWe all spend time in the wilderness of life, learning to trust and follow God for our daily bread. In the wilderness, the miracle is that you are fed manna from heaven and water from rocks. Provision is the only issue you deal with.
Why? Because trusting and following God does not come naturally. We have to learn that behavior and hone it into a skill set. Admit it. You tend to trust yourself and either follow the crowd, or follow your instincts. That doesn’t work in the Kingdom where God wants you to learn His ultimate goodness by relying on Him.
The Promised Land, however, is different from the wilderness. In the Promised Land, provision is not the issue. The miracle of the Promised Land happens in pursuit of conquest.
Consider the difference in relationship between the two places.
Then the manna ceased on the day after they had eaten the produce of the land; and the children of Israel no longer had manna, but they ate the food of the land of Canaan that year. – Joshua 5:12
In the Promised Land, they moved from miraculous provision to miraculous exploits – winning battles and taking territory for the Kingdom. The wilderness is full of slaves learning to become God’s people. The Promised Land is full of God’s people learning to be warriors who accomplish great vision.
The big question today is, where do you want to live? If you’re in the wilderness, learn your lesson well. Depend on God and learn to trust His provision. If you’re in the Promised Land, sic ‘em and God will back you up!
And the children of Israel ate manna forty years, until they came to an inhabited land; they ate manna until they came to the border of the land of Canaan. – Exodus 16:35
TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO GO AFTER UPGRADE. IF YOU ARE IN THE WILDERNESS, START TAKING STEPS TOWARD THE PROMISED LAND BY BEING THANKFUL AND TRUSTING GOD TO LEAD YOU TO BETTER THINGS!

MIND GAMES
A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Don't waste it on the negative things of this world. Feed your mind with the things of the Lord. He will renew your mind.
A READY MIND!One of the signs of a mature church and a mature Christian is that they make themselves ready for battle. They are prepared for Satan’s attacks on their thought life.
You see, the church Jesus comes back for is described in Revelation 19:7 as a bride who has made herself ready. Peter made it clear our minds must be ready as well.
Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind... – 1 Peter 5:2-3
To have a ready mind means to be eagerly prepared to serve. You heard it – the first step to making your mind ready for battle is a willingness to serve God in your thinking.
Do you believe Jesus Christ wants to rule your mind and work all things for your good? If so, you need to serve Him in the arena of your thinking.
Are you prepared to think about how much God loves you instead of that one dummy who doesn’t?
Are you eager to remember what God has done for you instead of what people have done for, or even to, you?
Are you ready to let God download HIs plans and goals for your life into you instead of just thinking about what you want all the time?
If you answered “no” to any of those questions, get with the program! The attacks are coming. Heck, the enemy is already at the gate and you didn’t recognize him. Armor up!
“Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” – Revelation 19:7
TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO BE OF READY MIND. SERVE JESUS WITH YOUR MIND BY BEING HOLY – SET APART AND PREPARED FOR THE MIND GAMES THE DEVIL IS ALREADY PLAYING ON YOU!

MOVIN' ON UP!In the early 1990s, I was preparing to leave on a mission trip to New Orleans. My wife dropped me off at the house of Pastor James “I feel God” Brown, a friend.
When he came to the door, he hugged me and invited me in saying, “Please excuse our mess. My wife’s done lost her mind.”
I was seriously wondering what he was talking about until I saw the mess. Inside the house, everything was packed into boxes, ready for a big move. I’m talking everything – there were boxes from one end of the house to the other.
“Where are you moving to?” I asked.
“We don’t know,” Pastor Brown said. “My wife has been praying for a new house in a better neighborhood, and last week, she got a word it was all about to happen. So this week, she packed it all up and said, ‘God has a new house for me.’”
We both busted out laughing and began making proclamations for a better home in a nicer area of town. That was the last time I ever went to that house because not long after, her big upgrade came.
God answered her prayer. I don’t know many people who would pack up before they knew where they were going, but Mrs. Brown did, and you know what? God loves that.
God loves it when you pursue Him. He loves it when you pursue upgrade and believe that His promises are real for you today.
Are you in need of an upgrade? Ask. Pray. Pursue.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. – Matthew 7:7
TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO PURSUE THE HEART OF THE KING. GO AFTER UPGRADE IN YOUR LIFE AND TRUST THAT HE WILL ANSWER THE CRY OF YOUR HEART.

DROP THE MIC!
Choosing to see yourself as He sees you gives others the opportunity to see Jesus in you. Choosing to see others how He sees them gives you the opportunity to represent Jesus. Become the Jesus people need to see today and receive your blessing!
HOLY GHOST ROCK STARSAs things spin more and more out of control on this earth, know that this is why: what is celebrated in Heaven is not celebrated on earth because the King of Heaven is not celebrated on this earth.
Jesus is the ruler of things in heaven and, my friend, He is good!
And Jesus said unto him, “Why call me good? None is good, except one, that is, God.” – Luke 18:19
That’s why good is not being celebrated in our society right now. The One who is good is coming back soon. Know that there will be more and more opposition to His appearance and, because of this, a greater hostility to His goodness and yours.
Despite this growing hostility toward good and celebration of evil, your calling as a Christ follower who understands that God is a good God, is to continue going around doing good! Not only that, you are to do good things in His name!
When the world calls you a hypocrite for calling people to repentance, call them to repentance anyway!
When the world calls you a fake for feeding and clothing the poor or visiting the prisoner, do it anyway!
When the world tells you that your efforts to save the lost are futile, continue to extend a hand to the drowning. Testify to the love of Jesus and His saving grace anyway!
When the world hates you because you’re a Christian, know that the world first hated Jesus (John 15:18) for bringing light into the darkness and exposing sin. Continue shining His light anyway!
You’re not called to a life of fear even when things get tough. You are called to be a Holy Ghost rock star who stands in front of the band and shouts into the microphone that Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life – no man comes to the Father except through Him.
You see, the results don’t belong to you, but to Him! Your job is to be obedient.
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. – Isaiah 55:11
TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO DO GOOD IN THE FACE OF EVIL, EVEN IF THOSE AROUND YOU PERSECUTE YOU. FEAR NOT! BE OF GOOD COURAGE BECAUSE JESUS IS THE LORD OF THE HARVEST!

ARE YOU THE MIRACLE?
Find a way to show Jesus to a hurting world, and you will gain more than you could ever know! When you take part in a miracle for someone else, you are blessed as well, and maybe even more!
GOD'S BIBLE THUMPIN' REPO MANThe year was 1995. Leanna and I were fixin’ to step off into the great unknown of ministry, but first, there were bills to pay.
So I got a job working for a national rent-to-own outfit. Yes, I was a repo man! The money was good and, surprisingly, the opportunity to reach people for Jesus was even better! It was through this job that people in the housing projects of central Fort Worth began to trust me as God took me into the homes of the poorest of the poor.
It showed me first-hand the difference mercy and compassion make in the lives of people with next to nothing. I also didn’t realize it at the time, but this was my seminary training!
Imagine what this was like: I would knock on a door at 7 a.m. and a sleepy-eyed single mom would open it.
“Mrs. Jones,” I would say, “I’m here to pick up your refrigerator.”
She would look at me with disgust and explain that there was milk for her kids in the refrigerator and meat for dinner in the freezer. Then, I would explain that she had broken her contract and failed to report her move to us, and that it had taken me several weeks to track her down.
I would be polite, even sympathetic, but firm. “I’m here to take your refrigerator,” I would say.
I can’t tell you how hard it was to walk past those kids without saying anything. And the absolute worst thing I could say was something like “God bless you” or “Jesus loves you.” I had to keep my mouth shut and be professional. It nearly killed me!
Now imagine how effective it was to show up at that same house later, when I was off work, with a gently used or refurbished refrigerator that Leanna and I had bought from a second-hand store. Imagine the surprise on that mama’s face when I explained to her that earlier, I had been there in the name of my company, but this time, I was there in the name of Jesus!
The refrigerator was a free gift, “just like Jesus,” I would say. You would not believe the move of God that would follow.
These were special times for us. How about you? Are you in the middle of special times showing Jesus to a hurting world in need?
Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. – James 1:27
TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO USE THE CREATIVE POWER OF JESUS. FIND A WAY TO SERVE THE NEEDY. THERE IS A NICHE FOR YOU IF YOU ASK GOD TO MAKE YOU THE MIRACLE PEOPLE ARE TRUSTING HIM FOR!

SHAKE THE GATES OF HELL
Be prepared to give God all of your life. It’s time to step out and get your hands dirty by helping others who are down in the dumps. God loves your faithfulness.
DANGEROUS TO THE ENEMYSince my first life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ, I remain a non-apologetic drop-dead, sold-out Jesus Freak. Yes, I’m the Christian the devil warned you about. I am unafraid to admit I want to use whatever influence I have to direct people into looking for Jesus.
To do that, I don’t have to be “churchy.” I often talk about secular things and this seems to trip a lot of people up. You see, I don’t see a line between the sacred and the secular. All life belongs to God and He can be seen in all of life.
What am I getting at? This: ministry is only effective when you are willing to serve the people you are ministering to. You will be called into uncomfortable places. You will get dirty because people who are digging a hole to hell are covered in filth. Help them put the shovel down!
The ability to make a difference in somebody’s life does not come from being the meanest, smartest or loudest. It comes from a willingness to serve.
If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant to all. – Mark 9:35
Jesus served the disciples – a group of total knuckleheads who spent three years with God Himself, yet didn’t understand a lot about who He was or who He wanted them to become. They went to weddings, funerals (though Jesus generally raised the dead), held babies, ate, drank wine, fished and just lived life together. Jesus wasn’t churchy and we shouldn’t be either.
To serve others, we must be real. Be the Christian the devil warns against. Get dirty and serve the way Jesus did.
TODAY IS A GOOD DAY TO SHAKE THE GATES OF HELL. SERVE THOSE WHO LIVE IN DARKNESS AND SHOW THEM THE LIGHT. MAKE THE DEVIL MAD AS HELL – I DARE YOU!
