Six Sentence Sunday
[image error]
I forgot to sign up this week, but just in case I have guests…a followup from last week.
"Vaughn will love this." Bram's head and shoulders appeared above the tangled brush.
"What did you find? Because if it's like the last time, I doubt he will…" Lleu stared down at me, stuck in my bowl, and he threw his head back with laughter. "I never would have guessed."

Love Romance Passion Reviews Evermine
I got a new review for Evermine, and it absolutely tickled me.
I loved the fun tone, and this bit especially:
I'm now speaking to anyone with a weakness/fondness for damaged/scarred heroes. Oh-yeah! That sexy Evanti demon, Harper, will have you volunteering to lick every…single…one of his scars. Reader Beware: To get your tongue anywhere near him you'll need to fight off an Askaran demoness named Emma, but it'll be worth the fight. Now please stand behind me. I'm first in line!
It's a great, really thoughtful review. You can read the entire review here.

How Bizarre
So, there's this service called YASIV. It's similar to clicking the "customers who bought this book also bought" button on Amazon. I used Everlong as my example, and this is what the beginning of the sequence looks like.

For those looking for a little visual stimulation, it's pretty cool. You click the covers for information on the books.
You can do a search and play with your own web of recommendation here.
P.S. – Admit it. The title totally had you hearing this song…

A Hint of Frost – RT Review
I received the most awesome email from a reviewer Sunday, her message made me tear up. Hers were the most thoughtful and encouraging words ever said to me about my writing from a reader/reviewer.
Last night I saw her review posted on Goodreads, and I am so thrilled. I feel so blessed by the reception Frost has received so far.
It's been a crazy ride.

4 ½ Stars!
The author spins an action-packed story of intrigue and betrayal, with an endearing romance at it's heart. I adore a good marriage of convenience tale that ultimately turns into much more – and this one is exceptional. The dialogue is strong, the storyline compelling, and the prose artful. I nearly devoured this book in a single sitting, I was so hesitant to put it down once I'd been caught in it's web.

Six Sentence Sunday

This weekend has been crazy. It's nice to have something normal like Six Sunday to do today.
Strong hands gripped my arms and lifted me onto my feet. Suction stuck the bowl in place.
Or it did until someone slid a finger between the rim and my pants, tracing the ridge stitched down my rear. The scent of wet balsam filled my nose. I flinched when the bowl fell, shattering on my heels.
"It seems we have ourselves a voyeur," Vaughn purred.

Something New Plus Something Pretty!
I got my finalized cover art for Eversworn yesterday. That's always fun.
Let me see if I can get it attached…

There we go.
So, the hunk in the center is Dillon. The lady to your right is Isabeau.
This is their story:
Steal the salt. Bind the grimoire. Escape the male.
When an exchange of stolen goods in the Feriana marketplace turns sour, Isabeau stumbles from the encounter bruised and laden with new orders to complete an even larger heist. With her child's life at stake, there's no room for error—or allies.
Armed with a lethal book of spells, she strikes a dangerous bargain with Roland Bernhard. Steal a shipment of salt from the Feriana colony, and she'll have her freedom—and her daughter. It's all she's ever wanted. At least it was…until she runs into Dillon Preston.
Dillon is out of commission after a mine explosion, and itching for a distraction. He gets it when the female who saved his leg arrives at the colony with nothing but flimsy excuses and even flimsier attire. She's after something, but is it him—or the salt?
Trapped in a desperate bid to gain true freedom, Isabeau is willing to sacrifice her life for her daughter's, but Dillon has other plans. He wants a package deal, and he's not willing to lose either female, even if it means the future king of Sere's head will roll.
Warning: This title contains a heroine desperate to save her daughter and a hero determined to make them a family. It also includes wings, horns and other assorted appendages.
I also have review ARCs ready to go to some lucky reviewers. Yay!
In other news, I'm writing the second Araneae Nation novel, A Feast of Souls. (Vaughn and Mana's book.) Their story gave me a character I really wanted to expand on, but couldn't cram his story within their book. He also doesn't fit the series mold. So…for the first time in years, I will be attempting to write a novella. My editor signed off on the idea, so I'm looking forward to trying something new. It should be fun, and I'd like to see if I've grown enough to pull off a shorter piece.

So far so good. I'm liking this draft much more than the last. I'm up to around 26k.
Now if I can triple that, I'll be in business.
"You cling to your vows of chastity." His eyes glittered. "Careful you don't lose your grip."
"My hold on my beliefs is secure." Only he made me feel as if I was slipping.
"You don't worry I could pry your fingers free of your morality?"

Flirting with Rescue by Sidney Bristol
Scott Carrillo has sworn off women. He's better at dealing with the cats and dogs at his animal shelter than dealing with relationships. He's out of his element when horses are brought in for rehabilitation, though. He needs help, in more ways than one.
Veterinarian Cody-Lynn Parker has always had a soft spot for horses. Rodeo and racing are in her blood. An equine emergency brings her into the city to retrieve two abused thoroughbreds. From the moment Scott and Cody meet, sparks fly.
What starts out as a steamy fling turns into an affair of the heart, but everything changes when the horse thieves want their property back. Cody finds herself flirting with danger, and Scott wants to rescue her whether she thinks she needs it or not.
