Smidgen of Good News

I'm excited to announce that my smidgen of good news…I have an agent.

Amy Boggs at Donald Maass offered me representation, and I accepted.

The whole thing happened fast and was unexpected, so I haven't talked about it much.

I think the idea is still sinking in.

I'm shifting my schedule around and making room for a new project, getting ready to edit an old project that recently sold (Wicked), and polishing the second Araneae Nation novel for submission. These are busy days, my friends, and I like that. ;)

New Contract

I don't think I've blogged about this yet, but I was offered a contract from Grand Central Publishing for their Forever Yours line a couple of weeks go. Exciting stuff, huh? You might recognized the title–Wicked Kin. Man I love the hero of that book ridiculous amounts.

In honor of that bit of good news, I'm sharing the wallpaper that goes along with Nathaniel.

Evermine is Aliiiiiive!

I can't believe the big day is finally here! Evermine is now available for purchase!

I blogged about getting to this point on the Samhain blog today too!

[image error]He can be a slave to his past…or allow her love to free him.

There's such a thing as too much change. Emma's sister is mated. Revolution is brewing in her home realm. The last straw: her would-be mate is back from the dead and back under her skin—yet when it comes to the last five years, he's not talking.

Desperate for a chance to start her own life, she answers the queen's call to ensure equality for all of Askara's newly freed slaves. It's the perfect opportunity to escape a heartbreak in the making named Harper.

Harper loses a piece of his fractured soul when Emma walks away. His lies were meant to protect her from torturous years that drove him to the point of madness. Instead, when he comes to her a year later to help avert a crisis in a freed-slave community, the wedge those lies drove between them is firmly in place.

As their new lives collide with old wounds, they race to stop a threat that could not only destroy the queen, but send Harper back to the hell he escaped. Emma must decide if the man she still loves deserves equal rights to her heart.

Warning: This title contains torn pants, ripped gowns, and sand in uncomfortable places. It also includes one overcompensating villain, one gnarly priest, and two battered hearts willing to give this thing called love one last chance.

Cast Your Votes for 2011 Sammies!

It's that time of year again…time for the SAMMIES!

This year, the voting was so easy. I guess more covers dazzled me? More books hit me just right? I was clicking like a fiend. One book in particular (and yes, yes, I know I've talked about it a lot) will–I think–always stick in my mind. That is, of course, Barbara J. Hancock's Ghost in the Machine. I cannot thank my editor enough for her

Anna's Book Blog

…gave Evermine four stars! Yay! You can read the review in its entirety here.

I so agree with this part:

They are a couple with personal issues and relationship issues and both have a stubbornness that will make you want to tear your hair out.

Their love is not an easy love. That much I promise you. ;)

Author Spotlight

I was interviewed over at Author Rescue and shared a surprising fact about me that most folks would never guess.

DH read the interview and said, "Good times." Pfft. Husbands.

If you swing by the blog and leave a comment, I'll award one person their choice from my backlist titles. :)

Caught on the Cover

Y'all might remember I had my first book signing back in September. Well, the cover for Evermine was revealed about a minute before I left to drive up to Birmingham. When I met everyone at the signing the next day, several people stopped me to comment on the likeness of the model used for Emma to a certain glitzy socialite. It looks like they weren't the one ones to spot the similarities.

Check out who RT Magazine says is a dead ringer for Emma.
