The road to enlightenment--and its bumps
by Liz Flaherty
Sometimes, I convince myself I'm not a traditionalist. I'm a feminist, after all. Who loves or marries whom is quite frankly none of my business. I'm a Christian who believes Jesus Christ to be her savior, but your beliefs are up to you--it shouldn't get in the way of us being nice to each other, being friends, living in the same neighborhood, or laughing at the same jokes. You do like bad jokes, right? Because if you don't, then we'll have to work harder at getting along....

Christmas, Warts and Magic
by Carol Ross
“Christmas…is not a date. It is a state of mind.” I stuck this quote by Mary Ellen Chase to the edge of my computer back in July. I know what you’re thinking and I agree - July is too early to be thinking about Christmas. But I had to think about Christmas back in July. I had a novella to write for A Heartwarming Christmas boxed set. Panic was beginning to set in. And, being honest here, I wasn’t feeling it. I love summer. I love to be outside. All I wanted to do in July was be o...

Confessions of a Good Girl
I was raised to be a “Good Girl.” Good girls are studious and excel in school. Good Girls are social and popular. Good Girls go out with friends / boyfriends on weekend nights. Good Girls are never loud, boisterous, or obnoxious. Good Girls are always elegant, graceful, and gracious.
Suffice it to say, I pretty much sucked at being a Good Girl. Unfortunately, I wasn’t even a Bad Girl in that rebellious, vivacious, devil-may-care sort of way which gives parents grey hairs but gathers friends an...

To Dreams...

Sometimes, when life gets busy or trying, we forget to remember our dreams.
I'm in retail and this is an exhausting season. I leave work and I just want to collapse on the couch and veg out to DVR shows we've backlogged. And on my days off, I have to shop, decorate, bake...yada, yada, yada.
Earlier this week, after getting my totally scrubbed computer home, I was in the garage hunting down my copy of Office7, when I came upon th...

It was Throwback Tuesday...

I'm serious! It really was! Well, it was a Tuesday, anyway.
I'm a pink lady at a local hospital and recently, I worked an afternoon shift in outpatient registration. It was a slow afternoon and I can only arrange magazines so many times and do so many word-search puzzles before I get a little...well, dopey. So I had this notebook. And this pen. And, for years, the only way I wrote was in longhand. These days, I don't even take notes with a pen, but on that Tuesday, I though...

Celebrate with Lillian Duncan
The Wranglers are happy to welcome author Lillian Duncan to the round corral. Read her inspiring story here, then give her new book a try!
CELEBRATE!
My latest release is No Home For The Holidays , a Christmas-themed romantic suspense novella. Christmas and suspense? I love the challenge of finding a way to mix the two. The gist of the story is about a “prodigal daughter” who wants to go home but knows she will put her family in danger as well as herself if she does.
