#WriterWednesday: Synithia Williams & Making It Real

Hey, WordWrangler Readers! We're really excited to shine the spotlight on Synithia Williams today. Synithia writes contemporary romances that sizzle for Crimson Romance and Harlequin Kimani. Today she's sharing her book Making It Real with us - the book is currently on sale for 99 cents!

Making It Real Blurb:

After five years in prison, Kareem Henderson is starting his life over. Though business is good at his barbershop, his goal is to open a high-end gentlemen's salon. But the road back...

Welcome Jannine Gallant

Join us in welcoming Jannine Gallant as our special guest in the round corral today!
Thanks for having me on your blog today, ladies. I always enjoy visiting Word Wranglers. Today, I thought I’d talk about backstory. Every book has it because our characters weren’t born the second they appear on the page. They’ve already lived through their childhood, teen and young adult years, and those experiences have made them who they are. Of course the reader needs to know their backgrounds, but weaving...

Screwin' the Pooch: Book Release Lessons

Yes, folks, I am now the poster child for how to fubar your book release, and I write this blog as a cautionary tale to save everyone else from my fate. It’s not all doom and gloom… Regardless of how badly I botched it, the good news is that my book “His Precious Cargo” is now on pre-sell, soon to be released. Which is an awesome, giddy, heart-palpitating, sick-to-my-stomach-with-fear-and-elation kind of sensation that compares to nothing else I’ve known.

The bad news is that I learned the har...

by Margie Senechal

Jordan asks me questions about writing because she wants to write as well--she's thinking of high fantasy or similar. She's always drawn the characters that populate her head and given them stories, so this is the next evolutionary step.

One thing I've told her is not to talk about what you're writing too much. I'm not talking about brainstorming with other writers--that is an invaluable tool.

I'm talking about when someone asks, "Hey, what are you working on now?"

And I...

A Writer Wish About Fuller House

Last week, something I've been waiting for months to happen, happened. Fuller House, the spin-off of the 80s/90s fan favorite hit Netflix, starring all the old stars (Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin, John *happysigh* Stamos)...and running a few of the same old jokes.

There is the joke about Steph being DJ Tanner (because, you know, she's a DJ and doesn't every 7 year old want to be her big sister for a little while...except she's not 7, she's an adult and it's just a bad, bad joke), a...

Welcome A.D. Ellis!

We're happy to welcome contemporary romance author A.D. Ellis to the round pen today.

A.D. spends the majority of her days loving and wrangling two school-aged children, a husband, and a Yorkie with a stubborn streak a mile wide before heading to the inner city of Indiana to teach a challenging group of alternative education students in grades third through sixth. Most days she hits the gym after school in hopes of running and lifting away the stress and headaches of the day before picking up...

Love is in the Air!

Even more than talking about myself, I love talking about other authors. Especially when they have a book release coming soon. And especially when the author is my friend Jillian Jacobs!

Jillian's third, and final, book of her Elemental Series will be available March 15th, and she just did a cover reveal this week (Check it out below!). To celebrate the release of "Air's Vision", she is putting her first Elemental book, "Water's Threshold" on sale for 99-cents! Also to celebrate this release,...

Write Frame Of Mind

  by Margie Senechal

This week I've been in a writing zone. After weeks of little progress--I wrote over 3,000 words on four different projects. You can click here www.wishwryting.blogspot.com
to read my updates on the Chaos Project.

I will say, it was a great week. As any writer can tell you, a good writing day is a great day. So, to have a good writing week--well, it was awesome!

I didn't even take in a movie on Tuesday so I could type all that I'd written into the files. Well, and there w...
