A Visit to Kristina's Desk
It's release week here at Casa Knight, which means a few more random things than usual have taken up residence on my desk...Also, I swear there are fairies living in my house that just leave things around for me.I could, of course, put these things away, but if the fairies are, in fact, leaving them for me then they can just as easily put them back where they belong. I think the fairies and I are at a standoff. Anywho, here's what I've found this time:
An empty container of Ice Breakers cinnam...

Favorite Summer Reads
Summer is coming and that is my time to reread the books I love. For many years--many years ago--I reread Margaret Mitchell's Gone With the Wind and Rachel Fields's book All This and Heaven, Too. Then I went through my Daphne du Maurier summers, where I reread Rebecca, The House on the Strand, Jamaica Inn, The Scapegoat . . . well, you get the picture. Now, my summer comfort reads are Liz Flaherty's One More Summer, Jar of Dreams, A Soft Place to Fall . . . oh, heck, anything by Liz Flaherty...

Monday, Monday...so good to me...
It's Liz here.
Today I am going to do what Margie does so well on blog posts. I'm going to write in pieces and parts without feeling as if a beginning, middle, and end are requirements. (I just gasped and had to force my fingers to stay on the keys because in my writer's mind, of course they're requirements.)
My daughter-in-law's birthday was yesterday. She is one of my favorite people in the world, so dear to me I don't know how to put it into words. It's different, how you feel about your kid...

A.D. Ellis is in the House!!
My Peep-Show month is almost over. I’ve been thrilled to present new releases by just a few of my fellow writer friends (and, thrill you with a peek at cover model Scott Nova J), and today is my last opportunity for April. Don’t get me wrong, I love promoting other writers, and hope you don’t mind me doing that here at Word Wranglers. One of the worst things about being a writer is knowing how many readers out there may never otherwise be introduced to some of these fabulous gals (and guys)....

Muddle Through
by Margie Senechal
I was hoping I'd wake up with something to write, but alas, waking up before the sun isn't good for the synapses. At least mine, but I shall muddle through.
On Tuesday, Jordan and I went to see Hello, My Name Is Doris. And Sally Field is such a delight in it. Jordan was the youngest one in attendance and I think I was a close second. And we both enjoyed it immensely.
I am reading The Year We Turned Forty bu Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke. It's about three friends getting wh...

Scenes from a cluttered mind...again
by Liz Flaherty
My apologies if you've read this before--well, and my thanks, too. I wrote it a couple of years ago and happened onto it the other day. I liked it, and my mind hasn't cleaned itself up any in the interim. Have a great week!
I’m not a very attentive person. Well, I’m attentive, just not when and where I should be. I’ve said before that if I were in school now, I’d probably be diagnosed with some kind of horrifying but hopefully treatable acronym. As it is, I’m unfocused to the ex...

Confessions of a Cover Model
Since April is my "peep show" month, here is a peek at Scott Nova.
You can look, but don't touch :-)This month, the Indiana RWA Chapter hosted cover model Scott Nova to join us for a presentation about all things cover model. My blog title is rather misleading, because Scott is far too much of a gentleman to dish any dirt. However, his presentation brought to light information that I was either too naïve to realize or too new to the industry to understand. It was also a poignant spotlight on so...
