Video Game Review: Yakuza 4

Yakuza 4
Console played on: PS3
Consoles available on: PS3
Rating: M
Play time: 80+ hrs.
Genre: Fighting/Light RPG

Wow. I really enjoyed Yakuza 3 but Yakuza 4 really outdid itself. The story is a basic one of good versus evil and it makes you reconsider who the bad guys really are. Are they the mobster yakuza and corrupt policemen? Kiryu is back and better than ever and still being his little "angelic" self but now we have three protagonists to play as and the story line does not disappoint.

This game is like a cross between old school fighting games and a JRPG. There is action around every corner as you jump into the past to find out how the four men got where they are in this game. Just like with Yakuza 3, there are side quests as well to have fun with and the hostesses are back too.

Can I just take a moment to enjoy the slashing of Kiryu and Tanimura? These two characters need to get a room at a love hotel together and stay there for a while. Preferably with cameras so I can watch *hearts!!*

All in all, this is definitely a game to pick up. With a solid story line and some of the best soundtrack music I've ever heard, I can't wait to replay this game.

Brand New Cover Art for "Trust In Me" is here!

When I first saw my cover for "Trust In Me" I was ecstatic! Justin James did an amazing job here. Without further ado, here is

Hot!

Beyond that, I'm hugely excited. When I first started reading erotic romance, I kept picking up and loving books from Loose Id. So when I opened up my e-mail and saw my final copy of my cover for Trust In Me, I started to cry. Now I feel like a dork for crying, and maybe it's just the steroids, but I'm really proud of this story.

I'll keep you updated with an excerpt. I hope you enjoy it!

Keep checking back at http://loritoland.com for more info!

It's just a bad day...

I think Friday's appointment with my rheumatologist finally hit home. The rheumatologist I am currently seeing decided to wait and see about my diagnosis when I first came back with a positive ANA. She believed I had scleroderma but with my family history, it could have been rheumatoid arthritis. At the time, I had no other symptoms than I was sick. The diagnosis of RA was finally confirmed on this Friday. Blood tests are done and a future appointment is scheduled where we'll see how my current medication is doing for managing my symptoms.

I feel like I had a reprieve for four years. Anyone who knows me from before writing knew I was sick in 2007 and that's where my health issues stem from. I just have to go through what seems like a huge adjustment period right now. I have about four hours per day where I feel good and can get work done and a couple hours in the morning where I can write. I was pushing myself through the pain and stiffness and telling myself not to be weak but it's wearing on my physical and mental well being.

Something I would love to never have to hear again: "But you are too young to be this sick." No shit. What's a good age then? Let me know and I'll wait until then.

I'm just happy I have a supportive husband and father and an awesome BFF. That makes this all worthwhile.

That census meme, gacked from josephine_myles

I guess it's where, who and what you are living with every ten years? I think it's cool :)

2011 - Living in a three bedroom house, right outside Disneyworld with my husband, who's from England and our two British/American cats :). We have a pool we rarely use (but I guess I should now) and I have a house down the street my dad used to live in but since he is living in Port St Lucie because he is getting married in May, my bff lives in the house currently. The business I started in 2001 is still a home based business but has grown to support us and that writing I put on hold is now a reality with getting published for the first time in 2010.

2001 - We had just moved from Dallas to Lake Mary, FL. I was sharing an apartment with my mom and dad, just starting a business and dreaming it would grow into something that would support us, even though I wasn't giving up on my dream of writing, I was just putting it on hold for a couple years. I had an old dachsund named Pepper that was getting very gray and a cat named Princess, who had a broken tail who liked to eat frogs.

1991 - I was living in beautiful La Costa, CA in a huge three bedroom custom home. My mom taught me how to drive a manual in her Porsche and after I nearly blew the clutch in it, she handed me over to my grandmother. My dachsund was much younger in those days and a real rascal. My dad travels a lot on business and my mom takes me to private school every day on her way to work. I write my first fanfic based on The Vampire Diaries.

1981 - I was living in a town home in Point Loma, CA and the complex had a pool. I loved swimming so much, if I wasn't at home, I was at the pool. We moved here from LA when my dad started an Alarm business with his dad. My parents let me have a cat named Morris but after we changed his cat food, we named him Pupu. *gag*

Wow. 30 years summed up. :)
