New contract signed with IFWG Publishing Australia
I'm thrilled to announce that I've signed a contract with IFWG Publishing Australia for a collection of 33 stories. The collection, untitled at the moment, will be released in Q3 of 2018.
From the IFWG website:
"I’m excited by this project,” stated Gerry Huntman, Managing Director of the publishing house, “because we have Deborah’s latest fiction collected in ‘Perfect Little Stitches and Other Stories’, and this acquisition distills the very best of her earlier dark fiction. We also decided to add a bonus two original pieces. We have an amazing relationship with Deborah and it makes perfect sense to publish the complete continuum of her dark fiction for reader enjoyment.”

"The Long Shot" is out now
Desert Breeze Publishing published my romance-suspense novella, "The Long Shot", on September 1st.
After a six-year estrangement from her troubled family, Simone Parker returns home to the small Australian town of Brownbeck to attend a funeral. She hopes to reconcile with her younger sister, Claire. Their father, now dead, was a violent and abusive drunk yet Claire always pretended otherwise, which is one of the reasons why Simone cut all ties.
When Simone is the only witness to a brutal and near-fatal bashing, she discovers that Brownbeck harbours a criminal gang trafficking in illegal firearms. At the funeral, she recognises Claire’s new partner as one of the assailants. How can she help police officer Mitchell Ross in his investigation if her own sister might somehow be involved? To complicate matters, Simone is falling for Mitchell.
