My novelette, "Barralang, pop. 63", upcoming in Dimension6
Since 2014, Coeur de Lion Publishing has produced three issues of Dimension6 per year, featuring some of the very best in Australian speculative fiction. Sadly, 2020 will be the magazine's last year of publication.
My psychological-horror novelette, "Barralang, pop. 63", will be included in the April issue. I'm proud to be involved in this magazine's swansong year.

Author interview with Things in the Well
Things in the Well, an Australian small press that produces horror anthologies and collections, has a new feature on their website.
"Voices from the Well" is a series of author interviews.
In this installment, Tabatha Wood invites me to talk about the inspiration behind my short story “The Sand,” (published in the 2019 anthology Beside the Seaside: Tales From the Daytripper), what I believe is the best advice for new writers, and which fictional character I'm in love with…

Out now! My collection, Figments and Fragments: Dark Stories
IFWG Publishing Australia has released my collection, Figments and Fragments: Dark Stories. The back-cover blurb reads:
Brutal. Compelling. Sinister.
From wheat farms, roadhouses, caravan parks and beaches to quiet suburban streets and inner-city apartments, award-winning author Deborah Sheldon tells distinctly Australian stories about violence, loss, betrayal and revenge.
Figments and Fragments includes three new stories written especially for the collection.
For more information about the collection, including a terrific review from the Horror Tree: https://deborahsheldon.wordpress.com/...
From the IFWG press release: “We are so pleased with this title,” said Gerry Huntman, Managing Director of IFWG, "as it loops back to some of Sheldon’s earlier dark fiction, but also adds new stories – enriching the depth of our catalogue of her short fiction. This book is a celebration of Sheldon’s mastery of the genre.”

My upcoming horror anthology - commissioned writers!
Exciting news about the horror anthology I’m editing (to be released in 2021 by IFWG Publishing Australia). We now have four A-grade Australian authors commissioned:
Isobelle Carmody https://isobellecarmody.net.au/
Sean Williams http://seanwilliams.com/
Kaaron Warren https://kaaronwarren.wordpress.com/
Jack Dann https://jackdann.com/
From Gerry Huntman, IFWG Publishing Australia:
"We are over the moon with this amazing line-up and know that not only will we get unique takes on the theme of this anthology, but the mix of these wonderful authors in a single anthology will also contribute to a combined effect that will be grander than the sum of their excellent pieces."
