Autumnal Faerie Photoshoot

I’ve always been fascinated by Autumn. The beauty that nature creates from what is essentially the death of its bounty, astounds me. I think it’s my favourite season, especially as I have experienced the colours of New England in the Fall, which was incredible. If you have never seen Vermont or Boston in October/November, put it on your bucket list – it’s a must see.

Anyway, it felt like it was time to take some new author photos, as my last ones were taken in Summer 2016, in various places across the States, and I like to take new ones every year.  I decided to do some Autumnal ones, and went on an adventure with two Faeries, into the local woods. I may have added a few magical elements…

Time to Surrender

[image error]Last week I had a really frustrating day. It was one of those days where long-awaited things fizzled out and died, and things that ought to be quick an easy to complete, took ages, and then still didn’t get done because of an unforeseen hiccup.

It’s days like that when I realise that I am not going with the flow. That I am stubbornly holding on to how I think things should be, how I think things should go, and I’m not listening to the Angels, not noticing the signs, and I am in resistance of my reality.

So, how to get into the flow?

Surrender. Relax. Listen.

Pause for a moment and just breathe.

I have come to realise, that you can plan as much as you want, you can daydream of the outcome as much as you like, but if the Universe has something else in mind for you, then it will happen their way, whether you like it or not!

I find that doing something creative, particularly something physical (not digital) helps me to get into the flow. I’ve recently got back into knitting, and have really got into make jewellery (I made the above necklace when trying to get back into the flow!) and I’ve also been doing more photography. I find that making something gets me out of my head and into my heart, and back into the flow, and I usually end up with something handmade and awesome at the end of it too!

I also like going for a walk, as getting outside in nature, and breathing in fresh air and getting some exercise helps to lessen the resistance, and allow the ideas and opportunities to flow again.

What do you do to get into the flow? Do you notice when you are stuck and in resistance?

Heaven dot com Ten Year Anniversary

Ten years ago today, I published the very first edition of Heaven dot com. I had written the novella when I was 15/16, and in 2007, the age of print-on-demand was dawning, and having always wanted to be an author, I just wanted to see my name on a book, my words in print.

So I published it.

I had no idea, at that point in time, that it would be the beginning of my journey as an author. At that point, all I had written was short stories, poetry and the novella. Though I dreamed of writing full length novels, I honestly didn’t think it would be possible for me.

But apparently, it was possible.

Heaven dot com is a story of love, and hope, and though I cringe a bit now when I read it, because there is so much I would change in it if I could, it was the spark that ignited my calling. And the fire has continued to burn for a decade.

For such a tiny book, it has had a pretty big impact on my life, and I know it has impacted the lives of others too.

Summer Events!

In July, I’m dusting off my camping gear, and heading to two awesome events. The first is the Healing Weekend, at the Secret World Wildlife Rescue. A whole weekend of workshops, music, healing, readings, and goodies! I’m going as a visitor, and I am looking forward to seeing lots of friends who will be there, and enjoying some healing therapies and learning from the workshops and singing around the campfire! I went to the Healing Weekend in 2014 and had a wonderful time! I wrote a couple of blog posts (Part one and part two), because at the time I was spreading the word of my new release, I’m Here.

The second event I will be at in July is the Conscious Connection Camp, and there, I will be offering two workshops as part of their programme, one on Emotions and Communication for Earth Angels, and the other on Twin Flame Relationships. Really excited to be at the camp, I attended last year (and did an impromptu workshop!) met some amazing people and had a great time. I also became famous for making my banana pancakes outside my tent!

If you are planning to be at either event, look out for me! I will be there with my faerie shoes on and sparkles in my hair!

Sometime I can’t quite believe all those words came from me! I’m really excited to start writing the next book, and as I revealed in a radio show this week, I have begun writing a prequel, but I haven’t quite decided what I will be doing with it yet! It might just be a bonus novella for my fans. I will let you know when I do!

Making an Unsplash

I have just started to contribute to Unsplash! If you have no idea what that is, and you’re a blogger or someone who uses images a lot, you need to check it out.

Unsplash.com is where you can get fabulous, high-resolution images, completely free, no licenses to pay, no fees, no royalties and you don’t even need to credit the photographer. It’s perfect for finding images for quote photos, blogs and websites.

I’ve got back into photography in the last year, and I have so many images, many of which I will never do anything with, so I have decided to start uploading them to Unsplash and offering them for use for free.

At least then, they will have a purpose! It also feels like a way of giving back, as I have used Unsplash images and it feels good to do an exchange! (Though that’s not necessary, you can use the images as you wish without any exchange needed)

The eighth book in the Earth Angel Series is now available for pre-order on Kindle! When you pre-order, it will magically appear on your device on the day of release, which is the 9th June!

The paperback editions, in the US and UK covers will both be available to buy on the 9th June as well, including the first seven books in the series in the new UK covers.

The new covers are rather lovely! Here are some pictures, though you’d have to get one to be feel the gorgeous matte texture!
