More Early Tools
These tools, displayed in the Altos de Chavon Regional Museum of Archaeology in La Romana, Dominican Republic, are made of stone and seem to be designed to be gripped by one hand.
This tool resembles a hatchet.
This tool looks like it could be used to smack the sh*t out of something or someone. (grins)
As Quinn says, “Stab the bad beings with the pointy end.”
I have no idea what this tool would be used for. It resembles a shark tooth.

Throwback Thursday – Warlord’s Return
The Chamele Barbarian Warlords series and the Refuge (Dark Thoughts) series are very much entwined. The Chamele Barbarian series starts as the Chameles’ return from the Refuge. In Warlord’s Return, the final book in the Chamele Barbarian Warlords series, the Chameles return to the Refuge.

B Free – One More Day!
B Free releases tomorrow (or late tonight if you’ve pre-ordered it)! (happy dancing) I’m so excited about sharing this story with you.
B, the hero of B Free, pulls at my heartstrings. I knew he was lonely. He is, he believes, the last of his kind. That will have an impact on a being.
I was surprised to learn he has secrets on top of that. These secrets isolate him emotionally even more.
Quinn, the heroine, has secrets also. And she is equally or perhaps more lonely. She acts as though her solitude doesn’t impact her but it does. Very much so.
These two beings deserve love.

Cynthia Sax Weekly Update – November 14th
It is release week! Woot! B Free is releasing on Tuesday (Monday night if you’ve pre-ordered it).
I love this cyborg romance. B Free is a story that can only be released now in the series. I find it difficult to explain why but I think you’ll understand it when you read it.

As I wait for release day, I am continuing to work on the first draft of Seizing Power (releasing in February). I am SO close to finishing it…and the excitement of completing a first draft combined with the thrill of a release day might make my brain explode with happiness. (grins) It will be SO much joy.

Why You Should Consider Pre-ordering B Free
B Free is releasing on Tuesday. Why should you consider pre-ordering it now?
Well…you’ll likely be one of the first people in the world to receive a copy of B Free. That’s super cool. Booksellers tend to send out Tuesday pre-orders late Monday night.
The biggest reason you might want to pre-order B Free is to avoid spoilers. And there WILL be spoilers posted by reading buddies. There are some awesome cameos in B Free. Some past favorite heroes and heroines will make brief appearances. There are some story twists.

B Free And Possible Re-reads
Like most of my stories, B Free (releasing on Tuesday, Monday night if you’ve pre-ordered it) can be read on its own. You don’t need to read any other stories to enjoy it.
But I know some of you like to re-read stories. If you plan to do that before B Free’s release day, the rest of the Rebel Cyborgs series (Containing Malice, Under Strain, Baring Grudge) is a great place to start.
Outside of the Rebel Cyborgs series, Releasing Rage is a good story to re-read (Rage, Joan, and their offspring Choice and Heart make brief appearances in B Free). Dark Thoughts would also be a beneficial story to revisit.
Again, there is no need to re-read at all. If you’re familiar with these stories, those scenes will merely have deeper meaning for you.

Remembrance Day 2021
Today is Remembrance Day in my corner of the universe.
I always think of my Great Uncle Frank on Remembrance Day. He was my first exposure to the sacrifices of soldiers and to the horrors of war. (You can read about my Great Uncle Frank here – http://tasteofcyn.com/2013/11/11/lest-we-forget/ ) His experiences made a lasting impact on me.
