Getting to Know Leah Hammond

Romancing
the Genres was started by two not-yet-published authors and while both Sarah
and Judith are now multi-published we do have a soft spot for writers who are
on the cusp. We are pleased to introduce you to Lynn Hammond who is not-quite-yet-published.
She is doing it the ‘right way’ and her first book “Risky Lies“ is at the editor's.

FALL- LOVING THE SEASON!

I'm skeptical that fall beats out any other season for
loving, so I’ve done a bit of reverse engineering on this month's theme: “Tis the
Season for Loving.” My take? Fall's the season I love best.

That wasn't always the case. Growing up in Iowa, fall
was too short and meant real cold lurked around the
corner. But in Upstate South Carolina, fall is both beautiful and it

Winter is coming...and so is NanoWriMo!!

As soon as the weather gets cool, I find myself gearing up
for NanoWriMo, or National Novel Writing
Month. It’s the crazy month where everyone is writing their heart out.  I love Nano and it really boosted my writing
skills. Have you ever thought about doing Nano? Here are my tips for making
Nano fun and productive.

To Those Affected by Harvey and Irma

A great big hello out there!

I would like to break away from the standard blog post today, and take a moment to reflect on the recent natural disasters of late. Namely Hurricane Harvey and Irma.

Both storms came in like a wrecking ball, so to speak. They left death and destruction in their wake, tearing families apart and displacing millions. They truly were magnificent beasts to be feared.

Romancing The Genres is excited to introduce you to V.C. Buckley whose debut New Adult Romance "Hanami" is being released this month. We asked V.C. to share a bit about her writing and herself.

What inspired you to write this story?

It started with a "what if" after seeing someone get bullied. My mind started to wonder: What if the girl they bullied was actually someone they shouldnt be

Fall-ing In Love

Hi, I'm Pippa Jay, author of SciFi and supernatural stories to engage your emotions. Summer is drawing to a close here in the UK, but I love the shift of season to autumn. It means less risk of sunburn to my poor fair skin and nights too hot to sleep (yup, even here we do get some heat in summer!). The leaves turn beautiful shades of gold, red and brown and carpet the ground.
