Starting Anew—Spending Time with Children by Lynn Lovegreen
I recently ended an after-school childcare job for the 2023-4 school year. Hanging out with children several hours a week gave me a new appreciation for certain things. In that way, being with kids is like starting anew. Seeing things through a child’s eyes changes your perspective, sometimes literally. One day a kindergartener walked into the room with her head tilted to one side,

A New Season of Life by Eleri Grace
I very much appreciate the "starting anew" theme for June rather than January, and it's more relevant for me this year than I might have expected. After all, it was last May that both my children had significant graduations (my daughter from college and son from high school). But this June also carries its own turning point or fork in the road for me. For the last several years, I've spent

As the Publishing World Churns!
By: Marcia King-Gamblewww.lovemarciakinggamble.comTwenty-Five years ago, when I started my writing journey, itwas a whole different world. No one had even heard the word e-book much lessKindle. Self-publishing meant you couldn’t quite make it as a writer. Who knewthat would prove not to be true.In 1998 when I first got published, publishers had starteddipping their toes into the

Starting Anew by Sue Moorcroft
What’s very new in my author life is writing a trilogy after twenty-four linked or standalone books. It’s known as the Skye Sisters trilogy, so you won’t be shocked to learn that it’s set on the beautiful Isle of Skye off the west coast of Scotland. Under a Summer Skye is Thea’s story and came out in May, to be followed by Ezzie’s book, A Skye Full of Stars in autumn and then

New adventures
As this goes out, I've just landed at Gatwick airport in the UK. I'll be staggering off the plane after a sleepless (unless a miracle occurred) flight. Nothing new there. We'll spend a week in London, which I've visited many times, but we're foregoing the usual tourist haunts. Instead we'll explore cemeteries like the one in Highgate where such disparate personalities as Karl Marx and George

Mystery Turned My Writing Around by Paty Jager
I'm beginning to think that time is flashing by at a rate much faster than even five years before. Is the world spinning faster and while the clocks read the same the time is, in fact, moving much faster? I can't believe it's June already! Halfway through this year. I'm sort of on track with my goals for the year. I do have 2 books that have been published so far. Now I have to get busy and

Reloading Romance by M. L. Buchman
Writing romance is a constantly changing world. Okay, all writing is, but I don’t often notice it quite as much as I have these last several months. It’s like seeing your kid daily, it’s still your kid. But someone sees them after a year or two gap and they can’t stop talking about how much the kid changed. Now try that for five years, as my romance writing just did. From 2012 to 2019 I
