But I had a plan...
by M. L. Buchman
You've never thought that, have you? Nah...me neither.
It's been a funny couple of days. A friend is running a large workshop in town this week. Fifty writers from the US, Canada, and Europe have come to the Oregon Coast for it. I'm not attending, but its an annual event and I'm hanging out some to chat with folks (many of whom are now once-a-year friends).

How to Keep On Keepin’ On by Sarah Raplee
Hi, I'm Sarah Raplee, author of paranormal romantic suspense novels.
I have long believed (and said many times) that the key to
success as a writer is to keep on keepin’ on. Persistence is at least as
important as talent—probably more important. What good is talent if a writer
quits writing?
But how does a writer keep going when there’s a figurative

How's the Weather?

The Romance of Writing Winter Settings
By Delsora Lowe
I’ll admit
right up front that I am not a lover of winter. Unless…I am sitting inside by a
roaring fire, sipping hot cocoa, and watching lazy snowflakes drift by…OUTSIDE
my window. Having said that, I love to write books set in winter.
Who doesn’t
love the thought of cuddling under a huge wool lap blanket while riding in a
sleigh on a crisp, cold starlit night under a full

Do Unto Others…and Yourself!
By Linda Lovely
This month’s
theme is how to get through tough times. We all have them, and we all cope
differently. Here are my three strategies
for tackling stress, sadness, frustration and/or anger.
(1) Do something nice for someone else.
Aid a nonprofit. Volunteer.
I
wish I could say I tend to do one of these things as my first reaction. I

Life In Transit
Inspiration in the strangest places...
Today I'm blogging about travel. Not only the amazing, glamorous type of travel that everyone enjoys. Sometimes travel is a hard slog, tiring and difficult. Sometimes, it results from a major change in circumstances or it actually propels those changes to happen. This is the stuff I’m writing about.
My debut novel is about an Irish flight attendant named

Valentine's Day...Dread or Delight?
What can be said about Valentine's Day? Ohh goodness, where do I begin? How about we start with what exactly does this specific day mean?
To many people, Valentine's Day has become synonymous with love, most specifically couples in love. What better way to express the love you feel for your spouse or parter than a bright red bouquet of roses, chocolate, and a cheesy card with a picture of an

Favorite Valentine’s Day Flicks by Kristin Wallace
Yes, Valentine’s Day is
already over, but my blogging day on RTG happened to fall after the 14th. Still, I had a fun Valentine’s
Day-themed idea so I’m running with it. My topic this month is…favorite
romantic movies. Come to think of it, these movies can be watched all year
long, so they still count.
Pride & Prejudice (any and all versions)

How to Keep Going in Tough Times: Give Yourself A Break #amwriting
Hi, I'm Pippa Jay, author of SciFi and supernatural stories to engage your emotions.
I can't claim to be an advocate of writing through tough times. I didn't write anything much for almost a decade after my mum's death when I was nineteen, despite it having been my everyday escape and my way of processing real life until then.
Real life did get in the way after that: having to get a job to
