New York Adventures in Travel...by Kristin Wallace

Since this month's theme is "adventures in travel", it seems the perfect time to talk about my trip to New York City in July.

First, I attended the Romance Writers of America (RWA) national conference. I got to spend quality time with my closest writer friends, celebrated my birthday, learned tons of information, and celebrated the best in romance fiction.

Then my parents flew up and

Romance Me

Welcome to my session in this series of  Blogversations.  I'll post a question and I'd love to see your responses. It's a bit of fun so let's keep the conversation flowing and along the way there'll be prizes!

My question is : Where is the most romantic place you've been, and why was it romantic?

The word 'romantic' conjures up images of sunsets, candles, open fires, champagne, a beautiful

Adventures in Travel #scifi #romance

Hi, I'm Pippa Jay, author of sci-fi and supernatural stories to engage your emotions. By strange coincidence with this month's topic, I'm currently on my travels! I'm spending a week on the Somerset/Dorset border with my family. This is the view from my cottage.

I haven't travelled hugely in my life - there's still lots of places I want to go - but we try to go different places in the UK to

Is time alone romantic???

When you think of a vacation or a treat and romance, I'm sure most people think of time with their romantic partner on... a beach

or enjoying a peaceful walk

or cuddling in front of a fireplace while Mother Nature and Ole Man Winter are doing their thing....

I'm In the need of a vacation…

I’m soooooo in need of a vacation! Sunday my 7 year-old received a head injury. The

International Films to Take You Away

Hi everyone!

I am Young Adult and Middle Grade author Barbara Binns, writer of contemporary and realistic fiction for adolescents and teens. As my tagline says, I write Stories of Real Boys Growing Into Real Men - and the people who love them.

I like to both read and write about characters, situations and places outside the ordinary. That's one reason I am an advocate for diverse books.

Au Revoir

by Madelle Morgan

After seven years as a Genre-ista with the second Tuesday of every month slot on the Romancing the Genres blog, this will be my last regular post.

Over those seven years I
shared my journey as I developed the craft of writing romance, ventured into
indie publishing, and learned about marketing.

Before I explain why I am hanging up my hat, here’s a brief summary
of my

Adventures? I've had a few!

By: Marcia King- Gamble

To say, I've had a few adventures in travel would be putting it  mildly. You can't have been a flight attendant, or worked in the travel industry, without collecting an adventure or two.

None, however, is more memorable than one on my many visits to India. New Delhi, exactly. India appeals to the shopper and foodie in me.  Back in the day

What Unexpected Romantic Thing Have You or Someone Else Received?

by Diana McCollum

Welcome to the Blogversations! What we here at Romancing the Genres are doing this month on the weekends, is Blogversations. I'll post an example to the question and then you provide an answer. I'll check back every so often and comment, and maybe you'll have comment to add to mine, or someone else will. This way we have a virtual conversation.

There will be prizes so. be

The Good and the Bad of a Disastrous Vacation

by Diana McCollum

May of 2018 my husband packed up the utility trailer with equipment for helping his daughter and her family build a house. At least the plan was he would supervise and sleep in the 1993 chevy van that was pulling the trailer. When he was done packing the trailer it was so full he had to use tarps and rope to keep everything contained.

He was so excited!

I would follow him in

Adventures in Dutch Harbor/Unalaska, Alaska by Lynn Lovegreen

For this month's theme of Adventures in Travel, this is a reprise from a July 2016 blog post.

Stunning Dutch Harbor and Unalaska

You may recall I travelled to Dutch Harbor and Unalaska earlier this summer. (See my post on the ferry ride there at http://lynnlovegreen.com/traveling-on....) I had the opportunity to go to one of the most unusual places in Alaska.

It’s unusual for a
