Picture A Perfect Christmas movie

Thank you for having me here. It’s been an
exciting month. The Hallmark Movie adaption of my book A Family Under the Christmas Tree was released on November 9th and
retitled to Picture A Perfect Christmas, which was a smashing success!  And will be playing
several more times through the season, check your local listing for
times.

The actors, screenwriter and everyone involved deserve credit

Christmas In Spaaaaaace! #scifi #romance #holiday

Hi, I'm Pippa Jay, author of scifi and supernatural stories with a romantic soul. And this Christmas finally sees the official publication of my second holiday story ever! Honestly, I've really struggled with writing holiday themed stories, being as most of mine take place far removed in time and space from our present and our planet. The idea of Christmas in Space seemed to be particularly

What's in your oven?

Hey Hey everyone and welcome!

Can you believe that 2019 is almost done? How the heck did that happen???

As the year draws to an end I know may people spend time reflecting on the past 11 months or setting goals for the next 11 months.  Me???? I bake.

As I shared last month I love Thanksgiving, it makes the perfect bridge into the baking season. Because if I'm honest everything I do for the

Christmas Movie Mix

While I don't get swept up in all the Christmas hype (no kids at home anymore and we're not particularly religious), I don't mind a good Christmas movie and the ones I like, I am happy to watch every year.

My favourites go right back to my childhood and now also include a 2019 new release (but you won't find Die Hard on my list - I'm definitely in the 'it's not a Christmas movie' camp).

When I

My “Science” Behind the Art of Producing ... by Delsora Lowe

Right up
front I will admit I am a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants type of writer. I have a
pie-in-the-sky outlook on what I want to accomplish, but until I set goals, not
much happens. Because I am also a non-competitive, procrastinator, who needs to
plan out life. So how do I reconcile those two different “personalities”?

In all my
years of gathering wisdom, some about myself and my habits,

My Favorite Christmas Movies by Kristin Wallace

We all have favorite traditions during the holidays. Perhaps one of yours is watching classic Christmas movies. A few years ago, I did a series on my blog called "25 Days of Christmas Movies". Thought I'd share some of the top examples here.

1. It's a Wonderful Life

This is the Granddaddy of all Christmas movies. Jimmy Stewart, Donna Reed, an angel named Clarence and the age-old question. “

What's New in Publishing for 2020? by Maggie Lynch

The biggest
story in publishing is the shift of ebooks to indie authors while maintaining
an emphasis on print books for traditional publishers. In each of the last two
years the sales of ebooks in traditional publishing has gone down while print
books have remained steady. Traditional publishers are also publishing
significantly less genre fiction, again ceding that to indie authors.

A Simple Christmas

By Diana McCollum

Christmas season is upon us everywhere we go. Christmas music plays in the stores and on the radio. Houses are decorated inside and out. I love the colored lights and the music and everything about Christmas. The best part of course, is sharing Christmas with family and friends.

I enjoyed a Christmas pot luck lunch with a few writer friends in Bend last week. Kathy had her

The Gingerbread Village by Lynn Lovegreen

Gingerbread houses are a common holiday tradition in many Northern countries.  We have our fair share here in Alaska. But the best-known example is the Captain Cook Christmas Gingerbread Village.

In Anchorage, the Captain Cook Hotel displays an annual gingerbread village during the holidays. Chef Joe Hickel makes it from scratch every year, and it is an amazing thing to see. The buildings are

The SAD truth about Christmas time

Hi everyone!
