City of the Invaders (Conclusion)



Here is the conclusion of the longer Taranui story.

This part contains most of the new content that differs from the older story--I ended up writing a very different ending, among other things. You may have already noticed the new characters of Katia's extended family, who are important to the second half.

City of the Invaders (Part One)



When I dismantled Facets of Fantasy, I put three of the stories on Kindle and rewrote a fourth into Alyce. I turned the fifth into a futuristic adventure story, but felt dissatisfied with it and discarded it for over a year. I didn't think it was any good and besides, I was exploring other genres.

I'll now release it on the blog, in two parts. It is longer than the original story by about 10,000 words, due largely to a new section in the middle. I doubt there's much curiosity, but those who ha...
