Pain? My Pleasure.

by Shoshanna Evers

I’m giving away an ebook ARC of Beauty and the Beast (an erotic re-imagining)

to one commenter.

Answer me this: Is pain your pleasure? Or is pain just… painful?

Some people don’t “get” the idea of pain melding into pleasure. Fo...

Fallen Is On The Way

A tweet from Black Lace books yesterday revealed that print copies of my March release,Fallen, are in the office. I’m excited about this book and wondering if anyone can recommend any historical erotica/erotic romance review sites I could send it to?

Cataloguing #1 – Sweet Vanilla

Now and again I get email requests from people who have read something of mine, asking for advice on what they might like next. This is always an interesting question for me, because I have written a lot of stuff now and it encompasses different sub-genres, heat levels, kinks and the rest. So I thought, to help me when the next enquiry of this kind comes in, I might try putting some of my books into categories.

I’m going to start with my more vanilla works – and there’s a surprising number of...

Doing Copyright Right

I received this link from the CEO at Totally Bound, who helpfully sent it along to all the authors.

The European Union is currently consulting on the issue of copyright law – for anybody who feels strongly about its interpretation and implementation, here is a chance to have a say. They want to hear from us!

Kings, Witches And Princesses

When I was at infants’ school, one of my great motivations to learn to read was the book that lay at the end of the reading scheme, like a giant pink and silver trophy. I had to negotiate all kinds of hazards to get there (Timothy and his trains, Janet who loves helping mummy etc.) but I felt that wading through the dull stuff would all be worth it to get to this holy grail of a book. It was calledKings, Princesses and Witches. Because, when you’re five, Kings are OK and witches are scary but...

Kings And Queens of Kink #1 – Giselle Renarde

Look, people! It’s a new series of guest posts, and this time, I’m looking for views, opinions and personal reflections on the writing of BDSM fiction. My first guest is somebody who never fails to present an interesting and thought-provoking angle – the excellent Giselle Renarde – welcome, Giselle.

When Is BDSM Not BDSM?

A Guest Post by Giselle Renarde

When is BDSM not BDSM? Well, I would say the easy answer is “When there’s no consent.” When a participant is coerced into action, when violence...

Merry Snogmas

We might be within a sneeze of Epiphany, but there’s a new mas in town - Smutmas. With a post full of erotic goodness for every day of the year, this site is launching with a celebratory Sunday Snog.

I thought I’d join in with a kissing scene from my new bookPrincess In Chains.

Leonore experienced the kiss of a man’s lips, for the second time that night, but Taran was no lumbering guardsman. He pressed his mouth to hers, hot and eager, as if swooping to devour a favourite dish. His face was so...
