In Holywell Street

It no longer exists, demolished in the early 20th century to make way for Aldwych, but in 1865 Holywell Street ran parallel to and north of the Strand, topped and tailed by churches – St Mary le Strand at the western end and St Clement Danes towering over it from the east.
