Quotes from the "Angry Writer"
Great article about pissing off writers in interviews.
I share Twain's sentiments: "haven't any right to criticize books, and I don't do it except when I hate them. I often want to criticize Jane Austen, but her books madden me so that I can't conceal my frenzy from the reader; and therefore I have to stop every time I begin. Every time I read 'Pride and Prejudice,' I want to dig her up and hit her over the skull with her own shin-bone."

Three Lives – Goodness
**DISCLAIMER: This is the most boring blog post in the history of all the world. But I thought someone might want to talk about the pros/cons of complete work collections with me.**
I've already spoken of my love for Three Lives bookstore. On my way there today, I walked through Stonewall Square on Christopher Street where the famous Stonewall riots occurred in 1969. The Help
A white girl helped out all the blacks in town! Huzzah!

The Help was a beautiful, moving book that took me about three seconds to read because I became so engrossed. All that aside, it's another Blindside (not that I've seen the movie, I'm not one for lowering my IQ).
Here's an idea, potential authors: write a book where a black person...

Packing Books
To Mindy Kaling
*Mindy Kaling has announced she is writing a book, to be released in 2011.
Dear Mindy Kaling,
Don't. Please, don't. If ever there was a woman who wouldn't, I believe it would be you. Does the market need another, "look how quirky and funny my love life is" book? Do woman need another charmingly eccentric icon? No. They don't.
I'm somewhat optimistic. You've said some pretty rad things on your Twitter feed, like here:
But then you say some pretty goddamn cliched points, like...
## Interview
The ## interviewed me about books and TFLN. I forgot to mention Michael Chabon's Amazing Adventures. Other than that, cool site & cool people. Check them out.
