THE DAY AFTER…
TODAY is “the day after” both the Hawaii and the International premiere on 25-26 September 2021 of the K. Simmons Productions’ “The STATIC Movie.” As the lead actor, Daniel S. Janik (“Will Gardner”), I want to thank everyone for the myriad texts, emails and phone calls letting me know about your personal experiences watching the movie. As author Raymond Gaynor (aka Daniel S. Janik) it is through such “real life” feedback that both my acting and writing continue to improve and mature. Right now, in between movies, I am focusing my energy on “Prophecy,” the sequel to the Amazon genre bestseller, THE EDGE OF MADNESS (Aignos 2020) — https://www.amazon.com/dp/0999693859 — the second in what promises to be a literary trilogy, the first being TOTAL MELTDOWN (Borgo/Wildside 2009) by Raymond Gaynor and William Maltese — https://www.amazon.com/dp/1434403556.
These three books take a sideways look at what I call a “plausible” (Science Futuring – SciFu) or, if you prefer, a very probable future involving ever increasing technology and challenge.
For today, however, I plan to take a celebratory day off at with lunch at a fine hotel restaurant and a night at a fine Waikiki hotel. Movies and books can wait to tomorrow. And, yes, I’m committed to continuing pursuit of both. And yet…in The STATIC Movie, he discovers a way to deal with this final challenge in the form of an old Philco radio that plays only static.
