Anonymous is about a man joyfully delving into his bisexuality with the eager help of his wife. Together, they hire an anonymous male prostitute so Nathaniel can experience hot man-on-man sex while Hannah watches. Before they meet up with Mr. Anonymous, they go out for a celebratory dinner where Nathaniel lays eyes on the handsomest, coolest waiter in the history of handsome, cool waiters. They go through with the anonymous sex night, but Nathaniel's hooked on the waiter guy and Hannah develops a secret obsession with finding out who Mr. Anonymous really is.

So it's a stalker novel, really. But not in a scary way.

#MySexySaturday Three Fan Faves and a Newbie for #99cents!

“What do you want for Christmas?”

“Ugh. Nothing. I don’t know.” Lili flopped on the couch, sending clouds of cat hair into the air. Snuggie jumped on top of her and started kneading her belly. Petting his ginger neck, she asked, “Do we really need to celebrate Christmas every year? I’m just about done with holidays. What a waste of time.”

I took two steps away to show her I was literally taken aback. “You’re kidding, right?”

“And money,” she added. “Christmastime is such a drain. I don’t see what you get out of it, Nor.”

“You mean beyond the fact that if it wasn’t for the mad, frantic Christmastime mentality we’d never have met?”

A smile broke slowly across Lili’s lips. “True.”

She didn’t say anything as Snuggie made her belly his own personal cat bed. When she closed her eyes I knew she was remembering the day we met, remembering the way we met. So I turned up the Christmas music on the radio and I lifted her shoes from her feet and sat at the end of the couch to rub her ice-cold toes.

I hate myself a bit right now...

...and here's why:

I think I've been unconsciously downplaying the queer content in my books recently. That's not cool, and thus the self-hatred. But I know why I've been doing it, even if I've been doing it without meaning to do it. I keep getting subtle whispers in my ear that romance readers don't like bisexual women. Bad, bad, yucky, uncomfortable!

I've let those whispers get to me and it's impacted the way I market my books--but not anymore, baby! I'm here, I'm queer and you're used to it, but from now on I'll make a concerted effort to show the reading public my books are queer too.

If some readers don't like bisexual women, queer women, trans women, lesbian women or genderfucked assholes like me, they'd better steer clear of my writing. The end.
