Good News, Everyone! Bali Nights is FREE until the end of September!
Just found out from my publisher that my novel Bali Nights has been chosen for a free iTunes promotion ending September 30th and Amazon UK has price-matched! That means you can get my erotic bisexual rubenesque travel romance novel for the low, low price of nothing! Do it now or, so help me, I will hunt you down...
Oops, I mean I won't do anything. It's entirely your decision.
But it's free and it's an entire novel (at 52,000 words, Bali Nights is one of the longest books I've ever written!). I noticed it wasn't price-matched at Amazon.com, but you can help change that by scrolling down to where it says "tell us about a lower price" and plugging in the iTunes link below. Hopefully we'll get it going for free on Amazon soon. Here are the linkages:

Amazon UK: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00JG89N46
And here's the Amazon one too, though it's not free yet.Giselle Renarde

Books In My Box + Hairy Armpits + Blasphemy
Maybe that should read "books in my slot" since I have a mail slot and not a mailbox, but it sounds dirty either way, so I'm happy. Not much to say. Just showing off my beautiful contributor's copies of two new erotic anthologies which are apparently both FOR WOMEN according to their subtitles. (Sorry everybody else. Not for you.)
If you're Hungry for More and you Can't Get Enough, look for my work in these two collections next time you're buying books.
Also, as an outward expression of my increasingly undeniable genderqueerness, here's some armpit hair:
Ooh... I like the one on the right! Finally, as a side note, I found another Hungry for More at Amazon... Hungry for More OF JESUS. Mmm... tastes like the Son of Man!

#MySexySaturday What Do Lesbians Do In Bed?
I've been writing lesbian erotica for a while now. Since 2006 to be exact. What's that, eight years? Yeah, sounds about right.I've amassed quite a few stories about quite a few lesbian sex practices (everything from super-sweet to super-kinky!), so I decided to put together a single-author anthology... mainly because the title popped into my head and I was like "hells yeaaaaah!"
I mean, honestly, "What Do Lesbians Do In Bed?" That's a kick-ass title.
Anyhoo, it's My Sexy Saturday, so I've selected seven sentences from the new release. These come from a butch/femme bondage story:
She bound me to the cage with a series of cable ties—down one arm, down the other. She put them on over my silky blouse so I could feel their pressure against my wrist, my forearm, my elbow, but the plastic wasn’t biting into my skin. That was a nice touch. She bound my ankles to the cage as well, and when it occurred to me that I was trapped, my heart began to race.
“Thank you,” I said.
“I haven’t done anything yet.”
“You have no idea…”

Caged. Captured. Confined.: The Illicit Romance Reader’s Dark BDSM Collection
$0.99 Introductory Offer!
Caged. Captured. Confined.: The Illicit Romance Reader’s Dark BDSM Collection
by Alpha Dom, Angel Wild, Giselle Renarde, Lexi Wood
Until September 15th 2014 you can grab a copy of Caged. Captured. Confined.: The Illicit Romance Reader’s Dark BDSM Collection for only $0.99! I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but if you like your BDSM with a heavy helping of kidnapping and uhhhh... that sort of stuff, this might just be the box set for you.
Excerpt (from my contribution, A Jealous God):
Her cage was made of chicken wire, but escape never crossed her mind. If she left, where would she go? Better yet, why would she go? Eve sat each day in patient silence, waiting for Him to appear. She did not sleep while He was away, for fear of missing out on the thrill of His arrival.
The chicken wire cut her flesh if she held the same position for too long, so she tried not to move. Her knees were scarred red with pointed ovals like eyes without irises. Eve was blind to life beyond the chicken wire.
All day, she waited to hear His key enter the front lock. The door would open and then squeal shut, but Creator never entered her room right away. Her room was, of course, a faulty descriptor. It was not her room in any sense—it was merely the room which her cage occupied.
When He entered, she cast her eyes suitably downward. Offering neither greeting nor request, she waited for Him to make His demands.
“Foul beast of the earth.” His voice boomed as He caught sight of her piddle in the corner of her cage. “Go on the newspaper. What do you think it’s there for?” Eve cowered, but made no reply. On days when pain from the chicken wire made her faint, she liked to sit on the newspaper for relief. She couldn’t do that if it was soiled.
“A dog can be housetrained,” He spat. When she made no response, He commanded, “Lie down. Are you no better than a brute? Present yourself to me like a dog.”
Sinking to her hands and knees, Eve backed up against the cage. She raised her posterior high in the air to ensure her two holes would be aligned with the padded opening in the chicken wire. She could never be sure whether He might fuck her pussy or her ass, or her pussy and then her ass. But without any sense of self, Eve had no concept of preference. She existed solely for the enjoyment of her Creator.

#MySexySaturday Thieving Fairies (it's lesbian urban fantasy and it's funny!)
Happy Saturday! Hope you're having a sexy one.
If not, you might be interested in my new release, Thieving Fairies. It's a lesbian urban fantasy, urban fairy, urban paranormal... thing. Descriptive, right?
This week's My Sexy Saturday theme is what happens after the story is over. In a sense this whole adventure takes place AFTER the romance. After the honeymoon period, I should say.
Shelagh and Honoria are urban fairies who've been married long enough that they're getting on each other's nerves. It doesn't help that they're poor as fuck and living in a bachelor apartment.
Hopefully Shelagh and Honoria can find a path back to happiness, because at the start of the story they are faaaaar from it.
Here are the first 7 paragraphs of Thieving Fairies:
“When I married you,” Shelagh said, “you promised to feed me, clothe me, and pay the rent.”
Honoria let out a wry cackle. “You must have been at the wrong wedding, woman. I never promised any of that.” She raced through her best recollection of their vows, counting them off on her fingers. “Let’s see… I Honoria take you Shelagh to be my lawful wedded wife, to have, to hold, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness, in health, until death do us part. Where I come from, that means I may be skint but you’re stuck with me.”
Shelagh tightened the belt on her ratty fleece housecoat. Leaning back in the easy chair, she stared blankly at the TV. “My mother always said we were wrong for each other.”
“Yeah, because I’m not purebred like some people,” Honoria shot back. “Or rich, at the very least.” It wasn’t her fault she was a fairy mutt.
Shaking her head, Shelagh muttered, “Shoulda taken Mum’s advice.”
Picking up the jug from her TV tray, she poured milk over her big bowl of store brand Fruity-Oh’s. When she dug in with a soup spoon, the sound of her teeth smacking made Honoria shudder. Shelagh’s noisy eating habits made her nauseous.
Clearing junk mail out of the way, Honoria fell onto the ratty old couch. She tried to sit on her anger, but that only inflated it. “Do you have to chew so loudly? You sound like a troll.”

Because this guy's got his head up his ass...
...I'm going to re-post my National Aboriginal Day blog entry.
Wait, who's got what in whose ass?
Sorry. I'm getting ahead of myself.
To make a long story short, I just heard on the radio that Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper is once again dismissing calls for a national inquiry into missing and murdered Aboriginal women.
According to Herr Harper, "We should not view this as a sociological phenomenon. We should view it as crime." source: CBC
WHAT? Uhhh... you know acts can multitask, right? They can be crimes AND sociological phenomena. Yes, at the same time! Imagine that!
Harper's adamant denial that there are systemic roots to violence against Aboriginal women in this country is just... I can't even... I have no words. It's just... no. No, I'm not going into it again. I already did in the post below, which is a lot less ranty than whatever I might spew if I let myself right now.
Here's my National Aboriginal Day post:
June 21st is National Aboriginal Day here in Canada. That's why I've chosen today to release my collection of explicit lesbian romance stories featuring Aboriginal characters.
"Don't You Savage Me" is now available for purchase and, best of all, I will be donating 100% of the royalties I earn to charitable organizations working for and with Aboriginal women in Canada.
What sparked the idea to put together a collection that exists solely for the purpose of raising money for Aboriginal women?
Well, if you live in Canada you might have heard about an RCMP report on missing and murdered Aboriginal women. It's a big-fucking-deal.
The RCMP say they worked with Statistics Canada and almost 300 policing agencies to produce the report, which found that aboriginal women account for 4.3 per cent of the overall Canadian female population yet account for 16 per cent of female homicides and 11.3 per cent of the cases of missing women.Since 1980 the rate of women who are victims of homicide has trended down, except the rate for aboriginal women, which has increased, the report states.Officials said there have been 1,181 police-recorded incidents of aboriginal homicides and unresolved missing women investigations over the past three decades — a much higher number than previously thought.Source: CBC
For those reading from outside Canada (and I realize a lot of my readers are not Canadian), your impression of this country might be shiny and bright. We're all so NICE here in Canada, right? But this country, man, it's got its problems. The United Nations has urged Canada to hold a national inquiry into missing and murdered women. In fact, the UN has offered a lot of criticisms that have been largely ignored by the Canadian government.
That was a bit of a long preamble, wasn't it? I didn't really plan that. Thanks for sticking around to find out about the anthology itself:
I have no preference where you purchase from. It's available from lots of retailers. I'm glad for every copy sold. Every little bit helps. And if you're not in the position to purchase, tell your friends--especially those who enjoy lesbian erotic romance (it's not always the biggest seller, unfortunately):

Me again. Just wanted to add that I've been overwhelmed by the number of copies of "Don't You Savage Me" you wonderful people have purchased. I've noticed a ton of readers from England buying this book, which is not at all what I expected when I released it, but what a happy surprise. Thank you for your support!

That's why I've chosen today to release my collection of explicit lesbian romance stories featuring Aboriginal characters."Don't You Savage Me" is now available for purchase and, best of all, I will be donating 100% of the royalties I earn to charitable organizations working for and with Aboriginal women in Canada.
Human rights concerns documented in UN Special Rapporteur's report on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples: "distressing socio-economic conditions" and inadequate funding of health care, housing, education, welfare, and social services for Indigenous communities; over-representation of Indigenous women and men in the prison system; high rates of violence against Indigenous women and girls; exclusion of Indigenous peoples from effective participation in decisions that affect their rights, particularly in respect to resource development; and a federal discourse about taxes and the economy that places Indigenous peoples "outside, and in opposition to, 'Canadian' interests, rather than understanding indigenous people to be an integral aspect of those interests."The Special Rapporteur also acknowledges historical patterns of "devastating human rights violations" including the residential school policy, which the Report notes "continues to cast a long shadow of despair on indigenous communities."

That was a bit of a long preamble, wasn't it? I didn't really plan that. Thanks for sticking around to find out about the anthology itself:
In “Don’t You Savage Me,” bestselling author of the Rainbow Award-winning novel The Red Satin Collection has bundled together six lesbian love stories featuring Indigenous characters.
There’s a little something for every taste, from the sticky-sweet romance between a cop and the girl next door in “Cuff Divers” to the intense heat of “Sugar Bush.” Rusidan learns about her girlfriend’s heritage in “Traditional Inuit Throat Singing” while Emma encounters a legend come to life in the historical romance “To Dream of Her True Love’s face.” A group of girls leave Jansey utterly exhausted in the charming bondage story “Knowing the Ropes.” Charm or no charm, Dina can’t resist rodeo rider Leslie Goosemoon in “Leslie Goosemoon Rides Again.”
All royalties earned by the author on sales of “Don’t You Savage Me” will be donated to charitable organizations allied with Indigenous women in Canada.

Hugs,
