Where do you get your ideas?

Lots of my ideas come from real historical events or people. There are so many fascinating things I uncover in the course of my research. I love playing the ‘what if’ game, and imagining different adventurous scenarios into which I can drop my poor heroes and heroines!

What are your favorite historical romance tropes?

Most of my favorite tropes are included in the Secrets & Spies series! Both ‘To Steal a Heart’ and ‘A Counterfeit Heart’ have ‘enemies to lovers’ tropes and criminal heroines, because I love the inherent potential for lots of snarky banter and simmering unwanted attraction, and ‘A Raven’s Heart’ has the ‘best friend’s little sister’ / forbidden lust aspect, which I love too. I hope readers enjoy them as much as I like writing them!

Did you do any special research for this story?

The hero is a forward thinking, socially-minded fellow who has installed more advanced plumbing into the family’s London mansion, which of course, led to a great deal of research into Regency water closets, bathtubs, and sewage removal.

Where do you get your ideas?

The idea for my Sons of the Spy Lord series came to me after reading about a real English spy master, William Wickham. Of course, my spy master is a wholly fictional creation, but that’s generally how I get started–from snippets of information that take root in my imagination.

Do you have favorite historical romance comfort reads?

My two go-to comfort reads are the Carsington brothers, Benedict and Rupert, as in Lord Perfect and Mr. Impossible, by Loretta Chase. I visit with them every year during the hectic Christmas holiday season.

Unfortunately, the last few months have been incredibly rocky with back-to-back unexpected incidents, and the production schedule has been thrown off course.

I am very eager for release day and I want you to adore Faith and Hawkridge journey to love as much as I do.

In order to give you the very best book I can write, the release date for Lord of Temptation has been postponed.

Due to having to reschedule the editor as well as all the other elements of publishing, the new launch date is set for November 11. (I know… Two months can seem like forever!!)

If the stars align to allow production to move faster than expected, I will absolutely get this romance into your hands as quickly as humanly possible.
