New Ron and Hermione Photos
The photo of Hermione with her copy of "The Tales of Beedle the Bard" that I posted earlier is indeed a new one:
Here's another picture from that same photo shoot.
And here's a new picture of Ron.
These are such great pictures of our beloved sidekicks, aren't they?

Two New Photos from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two
While on Tumblr today, I re-blogged two new photos from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two. I don't remember seeing either of these prior this evening. I am posting the pictures here for those of you who have not seen them yet.

Hermione and Harry in the Room of Hidden Things

Harry, Ron, and Hermione.
I hope we get more photos soon!

EDIT: This is a third photo that I hadn't seen before, but I don't think that it is for DH2. I think it is a promotional photo for DH1.

Of course, we are all eagerly awaiting the sneak peek at DH2, but I am also looking forward to "Exploring Godric's Hollow." The set design for the graveyard really intrigued me. (You can read my thoughts about it here: http://phoenixweasley.wordpress.com/2010/12/20/christmas-in-harry-potter-and-the-deathly-hallows/) I am just wondering if this Blu-Ray extra will reveal more of the Godric's Hollow set, especially Kendra and Ariana Dumbledore's tomb and the stained-glass window that was designed for the village church.
The DVD and Blu-Ray versions of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One are scheduled for release on April 11, 2011.

Rupert Grint Reveals Deathly Hallows Part 2 Spoiler
Here's a minor spoiler from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two that I found on Tumblr today.
I am sure that people who have not read the books will indeed be shocked by this, but for those of us who have read them, this isn't really a major spoiler. I think that this will be the most emotional Harry Potter film of them all. I'm just wondering if I will cry in the theater as much as I did for The Return of the King….

Severus Snape Deathly Hallows Part Two Movie Spoiler
SPOILER ALERT! The Hallows News Blog had this to report about the fate of Severus Snape in the upcoming film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two. Don't read what's written below the poster of Severus unless you want to be spoiled.
From the Hallows News Blog:
In a new interview with Cine Premiere Mexico, Andrew Ackland-Snow, the art director for the Harry Potter series, divulged new information which states that (with the approval of J.K. Rowling) the death of Severus Snape has changed.
"We wanted to change a bit where Snape dies. In the book, he dies on the Shrieking Shack, and we wanted to get him out from, not a conventional interior, but from that kind of box, to do it in a more dramatic atmosphere. We asked J.K. if she agreed for that to happen in there, because we hadn't really seen it before. We made a crystal house, and you can see what happens in the boat house from there – Are you listening Harry? -, but also the school is in flames…and she loved it. Besides, it's a very romantic place to die. Snape dies in a extremely good way, I gotta say."
How, and if, this change will affect the film and plot has yet to be seen, but with J.K. Rowling's approval, and David Yates' track record, the change shouldn't be particularly drastic to the story.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 is scheduled to be released on July 15, 2011.
I really like the fact that the art director said that they had J. K. Rowling's permission to change the location of Snape's death scene, and I am certain that many of the fans will agree. Placing Snape's death in a crystal house isn't just more cinematic, but also more symbolic. After all, in "The Prince's Tale" we finally get to see how much Snape has done behind-the-scenes. His silvery threads of memory are decanted into a (presumably) crystal flask so that Harry can view those memories in Dumbledore's pensieve. Snape's secret past is revealed through a crystal-clear vessel which allows Harry to see the truth about Severus for the very first time.
Dumbledore opened his eyes. Snape looked horrified.
"You have kept him alive so that he can die at the right moment?"
"Don't be shocked, Severus. How many men and women have you watched die?"
"Lately, only those whom I could not save," said Snape. –Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows page 687.
Harry, like Snape, has also known what it is like to witness the death of someone worthy whom he was powerless to save: Cedric Diggory, Sirius Black, and Albus Dumbledore, among others. I think it is an absolutely brilliant decision by the art director to have Harry witness the death of Severus through the clarity of a crystal vessel amid the flames of purification which burn away the darkness that has shrouded the Potions Master's true nature for so long.
Professor Logospilgrim, my Snape-loving friend, if you are reading this, I would love to know your thoughts on this new cinematic development!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One Has Made the Top Ten List!
According to Box Office Mojo, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One has earned enough money at the box office to make it onto the International Top Ten Highest Grossing Films of All Time list. The film is currently in tenth place. The only other Harry Potter film on the international top ten list is 2001′s Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone ( a.k.a. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone).
http://boxofficemojo.com/alltime/world/
I predict that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two will make it onto this list in July. It will be the type of film that the fans will want to see over and over again, and may be the highest grossing film of the series.

News Regarding The Hobbit Movie and a Poll About The Chronicles of Narnia Films
The Hollywood Reporter interviewed Elijah Wood about his reprisal of the role of Frodo Baggins in the film version of The Hobbit. You can read that interview here: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/blogs/heat-vision/elijah-wood-hobbit-amazing-reunion-72205
The One Ring. net has Elijah's interview with Collider here: http://www.theonering.net/torwp/2011/01/12/41660-elijah-wood-speaks-even-more-about-the-hobbit/#more-41660 There are lots of other great tidbits at TORn, so have a look around if you have the time. It's a great website.
Christopher Lee will also return as Saruman. You can read about it here: http://the-hobbit-movie.com/2011/01/16/christopher-lee-back-as-saruman-the-white/ After reading that one I was wondering who should perform the voice of Smaug? Some say Leonard Nimoy, others say Alan Rickman. I love Nimoy as Spock, but Rickman (our much-loved and much-despised Professor Snape) would make a truly amazing Smaug. What do you think?
If you are on Twitter and have an interest in The Chronicles of Narnia, here's a poll that may be of interest to you. Which Narnia film is your favorite? I really had a hard time deciding between the 2005 version of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and the 2010 version of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. http://twtpoll.com/zs0wvg Which film did you vote for? I voted for LWW, but with reservations. LWW was in first place and VotDT was in second when I responded to the poll.

Possible Trailer Release Dates for Deathly Hallows Part Two
According to this website http://www.theprojectionlist.com/Site/Trailers.html we will be seeing new trailers for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two in March. (I don't know if this means that there will be one new trailer or two new trailers, nor do I know if this information is reliable.) The site has listed the new trailer(s) as being released on the following dates:
03.11.11 with Battle: Los Angeles and Red Riding Hood
03.25.11 with Sucker Punch
I hope we see some new footage of my favorite couple, Ron and Hermione!

Another Deathly Hallows 2 Spoiler Picture
SPOILER ALERT!
This photo of a battered and bloodied Neville Longbottom has been circulating on Twitter and various Harry Potter discussion boards and blogs. Bellatrix and the other Death Eaters are visible in the background, so this must be from the Battle of Hogwarts, perhaps from the moment when Neville bravely confronts Lord Voldemort. I hope this scene in the film is as epic as it was in the novel. Go Neville!
