What we did on our holidays

Oh it seems like SUCH a long time ago now!

And I can't recommend the cottage – The Granary at Overthwarts – highly enough. We're going back next year.

What writing feels like…

I saw this advert on a gorgeous blog I've just discovered, not your average ordinary. The first time I watched it, I was transfixed and didn't really think about it. The second time, the words 'that's what writing feels like' kept going round in my head. I can't entirely explain it, but there it is. This is what writing feels like… to me.

Finished!

This has been me for the past few weeks, but I'm done! DONE! Well until I get feedback from beta readers, agent, editor, etc. But I'm DONE FOR NOW!

And I'm really happy with it. It's called Jessie ♥ NYC, it's set in New York and it's an unapologetic romance. I really hope people are going to like it.

Confessions competition shortlist – and win a copy of my book!

iPod Touch cake!

The 15 books comp will take a little while to find a winner because I need to make a spreadsheet – a spreadsheet! – for all the entries.

The iPod Touch competition has a shortlist of five entries and now it's your job to select a winner. Yes, yours! I've posted all five confessions/diary entries below and I'd like you to vote for the one you like the best.

But I'm not asking you to do it for nothing, oh no. What I'd like you to do is to leave your own embarrassing moments in...

Look, Tyra, I'm smizing!

Just another quickie because I'm still writing away. I think I might actually be closer to finishing than I realised so I'm trying to power through.

But I have the enormous honour of being on the cover of Writers' Forum magazine this month. I can't quite believe it. The interview was done by my lovely friend Michele Brouder and the photo was taken (in my front room) by my equally lovely friend Cara Donovan (both of whom I met online – the internet's great, innit?).
