70 Days Giveaway: Skins the Novel
Only 70 days until DELLA SAYS: OMG! comes out. OMG. I knew doing these competitions every 10 days would make the time go faster. But I'm slowly starting to get organised and I'm definitely getting excited.

Wanting Wednesday: Chrysler building lantern
My Restoration Hardware Brooklyn Bridge bookends are one (two?) of the favourite things I own. I wanted them for aaaages and finally managed to convince a friend to pick them up for me in New York (Thanks, JC!).
And I've just seen this fabulous Chrysler Building lantern on the Fishs Eddy site (I really must go to the actual store next time I'm in New York). Isn't it gorgeous?

In the last few days, I've read three news stories that I can't get out of my head. All three made me cry, but I didn't actually need to know about any of them. (And you don't either, although I am going to refer to one later in the post, so you may want to stop reading now.)

The Noughties: 2008
[This series of mine seems to be going on for longer than the actual decade... almost done now!:]
2008 was a completely brilliant year. In April I got pregnant and also signed a book deal (and then wrote another YA novel, DELLA SAYS: OMG!).
Turned out we were right in our holiday decision (not bothering to go abroad), since we spent two weeks in Norfolk and it was the best holiday we've ever had. And I took my two fave photos of Harry EVER!
