Review of Bad Things Happen

Bad Things Happen (Ashes to Ashes, #1) Bad Things Happen by Rowena Holloway

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another brilliant read from Ro Holloway! Sensational ending with some unique twist and turns. Ms Holloway crafts an extraordinary thriller with well defined characters. The pace is well timed and the build up happens so subtly, you are almost caught off guard. This is one you do not want to miss.

My review of Masquerade (Scandalous BallRoom Encounters)

Masquerade (Scandalous Ballroom Encounters, #1) Masquerade by Victoria Vale

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was well written Historical Romance-Erotica. The story is crafted with all the tension that comes from the confines of England social structure. Add in the steamy sexual escapades you have a tightly woven story of desire, love and wanton lust. If there is one issue and it is minor, was one part where the sex got tedious (I know weird coming from me), it stalled the romantic tension between Maggie and Camden.

I highly recommend this book for those that enjoy a historical romance with robust sexuality.

ARC readers wanted

I have a new release coming on March 15th.

It is called JET Ambush. It will be part of Russell Blake's JET series over at Amazon's Kindle Worlds.

It is an espionage thriller and runs about 90 pages. I am looking for ARC reviewers for GoodReads more than Amazon.

The target date to have it to you is March 5th. I am looking for reviews based on the story, not grammar. I say that for it may still be in an editing cycle, but want to give you the reader time.

Target for your review is the 15th.

There is a prequel if interested, Strangers & Vultures for 99 cents and KU.

If interested shoot me a mail here at GR and will fill you in.

Thanks

Femme Fatales Rule

I often get asked what type of mystery/crime books do I write.

It is a good question, for I don't fit any of the "classic" category. What do I tell them? Good question! In general, I tell them I write urban, gritty, dark romantic thrillers, where the female MC's overcome a series of moral dilemma's to solve the crime. Yes, it is violent and to expect the unexpected.

Frozen Sin is live for pre-order Worldwide Amazon Link: myBook.to/FrozenSin

But in truth, I want to make those bad ass female MC's more femme fatale in nature .... here is a video of the modern day Femme Fatales ... enjoy

How it all started

I often get asked how did I start writing. I never considered myself an author, and it wasn't till 2005, when a friend dared me to write. I had been complaining about a recent read I had finished. She looked me at said, "do better."

Not one to shy away from a challenge. I did just that. I wanted to write, my first love in reading, Historical Romance. I discovered quickly that I was too impatient to do the research and learn the customs of the Regency period. So that was out lol

At the time erotica was just starting to gain a foothold in the Romance category. It was call Romantica. At the same time, Eyes Wide Shut, was popular and thought why not do a take off on that.

That led to Unveiling Facade, my first story. A short story that I sold to a small press publisher. It did fairly well, but I personally faded from the writing scene.

In 2016, with the encouragement of a good friend, I started looking at writing again. I retrieved my rights to Unveiling Facade and self published it. (Back in 2005, there was no self publishing.)

I had intended to leave it as a standalone, but readers wanted more of Jocelyn. That gave birth to the Dark Desire Series. At the time, I had no idea it was a common term in the marketplace.

Unveiling Facade, holds a special place in my heart. It was the first, and you know what they say about your first lol

Still 99 cents ❤️ ❤️Free with Kindle Unlimited! 🖤 🖤

"Great, short, smutty read. The story's premise is erotic, and the author's imagination simply delectable. "
