Who���s Playing Me? - Author Young's travels in the South of France
As Walter and I drove across the 15th Century Pont de Belcastel (Belcastel Bridge), we couldn���t help but marvel at the picturesque beauty of this medieval village; with Ch��teau de Belcastel, being the crown jewel of this plus beaux village de France (the most beautiful village of France). We gave ourselves concurring looks. We had finally found the French county to retire to in 2018/2019.
I broke the silence as we sat at Hotel Du Vieux Pont outdoor caf��, enjoying the scenic winsomeness of the gentle flowing Aveyron River.
I announced, ���Emerantia (my literary and film agent) emailed me today.���
���What did she say?��� my beloved queried.
���Read her lengthy message I forwarded you,��� I replied.
I commented while ���hubby��� read from his phone, ���This year, the Year of the Rooster is going to be an excellent year for you - dragon and me - snake.���
He remarked arbitrarily without looking up, ���How so?���
���For the snake: fortune, recognitions, rewards, promotions, bonuses, and romance are available to me in 2017. I���m gonna be feted and popular.���
I paused before I quipped, ���It���s time for me to shed my skin and be reborn.���
���What about me?��� he queried enthusiastically.
���You���ll continue to enjoy good fortune, prosperity, happiness, good news, luck in love, promotions, and of course, business successes,��� I stated.
He looked at me with a Cheshire Grin on his face. ���Me Oh My! Congratulations, darling! Who���s going to play the adolescent Young in A Harem Boy���s Saga ��� I ��� INITIATION, the movie?���
���We are doing a worldwide search, even-though I���d sent Emerantia and the producers (John and Julian), a potential Hong Kong candidate for their consideration. He has the looks and the physical attributes that resembles the teenage moi. The slack is; he said he���s not gay. The producers want an authentic gay actor to convincingly play me, especially when it comes to shooting explicit sex scenes,��� I pronounced.
���Are the co-actors casted?��� Walter questioned.
���I believe so. I���m the missing link. Once we locate the ���young moi���, filming can begin. Hopefully this year.���
���How exciting! May the right gay actor manifest himself. For now, let���s toast to our future in France!��� He raised his glass before he added, ���And to the Year of the Fire Rooster!���

Catherine continued on her way to her greenhouse, grateful she���d not run into Titus. She liked to think of him as Titus, not Lord Braithwaite, which somehow seemed too formal. He made her feel things. Things she hadn���t felt in years, and she resented him for it. She wanted him gone from Chatterwoods and her life back to being the way it was before the dinner party.
She spent a very satisfying morning taking care of her plants and working on a new scent she was trying to create. It was almost there, but something was missing. She had to go through the oils she had in her small apothecary to see if there was anything there she could use to enhance the scent.
Exhausted from the events of the previous night and everything that had taken place, including Titus entering her room, Catherine left the greenhouse and proceeded to go to her room. A long soak in her tub was what she needed. Catherine found it both a pleasure and a torture to soak in the tub. It reminded her so much of Cameron. He used to love to bathe her or use the bath water after her. She missed all these things about him. Everything about life excited him, and he had infected her with that excitement. It was like a contagion. Now that he was gone, she missed that excitement.
It was almost time for supper, so she got dressed, left her room, and was making her way to Suzan���s room to check up on her when she came face to face with Lord Braithwaite, walking out of Cameron���s room. Two things hit her at the same time. She could have sworn she saw Cameron walking out of his room. Rubbing her eyes, she looked again, but it was only Titus Braithwaite. He didn���t look like Cameron, except in their well-developed musculature, so how could she have mistaken the two? But all this aside, why was Lord Braithwaite still at Chatterwoods?

The Art in Cemeteries - Author Young's travels in France
While Walter was tending to our luggage at our Saint-Paul de Vence hotel, I took the opportunity to explore the city���s walled cemetery. The unperturbed tranquility of French necropolises had drawn many creative souls to their terra firma, and I was no exception to the rule.
As is often the case, I found equilibrium and dissonance within these sacred grounds. Creativity ran rampant as inspirations flooded my mind in these ascetic halls of sepulcher resplendence. Yet, trepidations that I would unavoidably join the departed surrounded me. Fervent eruditions stirred profundities that a life well lived is not measured by salary, title, job satisfaction, nor accolades, friendships, or tasks accomplished. But by love, sacrifice, joy, intention, action, motivation and the times I smiled when it was easier to glare. Last, but by no means least - giving without reservations.
A hand reached for my shoulder when I was in ardent contemplation.
���What are you doing in a boneyard?��� my beloved uttered.
���To find myself,��� I replied before I resumed, ���It was my erudite tutor, Professor Alain Dubois who introduced me to Cimeti��re du P��re-Lachaise in Paris, back in 1968.���
���I know all about it. You related the story in A Harem Boy���s Saga ��� V ��� Metanoia, the 5th installment in your never-ending autobiography,��� he taunted jestingly.
I countered, ���Dubois once said, ���Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal���.���
My ���hubby��� teased, ���Are you pining for your beloved Andy?���
He waited for my response. None came.
He added, ���Why are you in this macabre surrounding? Are you cogitating death?���
I retaliated chaffingly, ���Honey, when it���s time for me to go:
Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there.
I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush,
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there.
I did not die.���
He chortled at my poem and said, ���Come on! It���s time to join the living. Lament no further for the departed for we still have years ahead, before we woo the dead.���

Famous authors include Honore de Balzac, Marcel Proust, Alfred de Musset, Gerard de Nerval, Guillaume Apollinaire, Colette, Oscar Wilde, Richard Wright, Gertrude Stein, and Alice B. Toklas.
Artists buried here include Eugene Delacroix, Gustave Dore, Camille Pissarro, Georges-Pierre Seurat, Pierre Paul Prud'hon, Gustave Caillebotte, Theodore Gericault, Rene Lalique, and Max Ernst.
Composers Frederic Chopin and George Enescu round out the list.
The cemetery is also the resting place of some eminent scientists, including physiologist Claude Bernard, engineer Zenobe Gramme, and sociologist Henri de Saint-Simon.
The origins of Pere Lachaise cemetery as a final resting place for the famous began when the cemetery was first opened in 1804.
Pere Lachaise was one of many cemeteries opened during this time outside the center of Paris in response to a ban on cemeteries within the capital, which were considered a health hazard.
The popularity and prestige of the cemetery was something of a marketing scheme by the Napoleonic government, as the remains of 17th century French authors La Fontaine and Moliere were moved there the same year it was opened.
This stunt was followed 13 years later by the interment of the legendary Medieval lovers Heloise and Abelard, accompanied by a spectacular monument in their honor.
This cemetery quickly became the most popular place in Paris to be buried.
Pere Lachaise cemetery, located in Paris, France, is the largest cemetery in the city and one of the most visited cemeteries in the world.
At Pere Lachaise, one can visit the graves of numerous celebrities from the realms of history, music, literature, art, theatre, and science.

The 3Gs - GRATITUDE, GUIDANCE, & GRACE
���What do you want to eat?��� Walter asked.
���You���re the epicurean savant. You decide,��� I replied.
Off we trotted into the narrow streets of Nice in search of a bistro the gourmet connoisseur wished to dine. No sooner had we settled at our table, my beloved enquired, ���What and why were you praying so earnestly at Cathedrale Sainte Reparate?���
���I prayed for the 3Gs,��� I replied nonchalantly.
���What?��� he said puzzlingly.
I snickered at his query while looking at the enticing menu.
���You know..., the 3Gs,��� I quipped.
Curiosity overtook his dignified comportment. He pressed, ���Tell me about the 3Gs.���
���Let���s start with GRATITUDE. I thanked the universe for manifesting Mr. John Coventry, a U.K. film producer and his Hollywood associate, Julian, for producing A Harem Boy���s Saga; a memoir by Young - my autobiographical books into a movie series,��� I declared.
���My literary and film agent informed me this morning that INITIATION is currently in pre-production. She asked for photographs of the actual people in the book, so John and Julian can commence a worldwide search for the right actors to play me and the characters in the movie.���
���Why didn���t you tell me earlier?��� my ���hubby��� chirped delightfully.
���I wanted to thank the Universal God before divulging the news to you. I also want to ask the higher powers for GUIDANCE; for John, Julian and the pre-production team to locate the right actor to play the adolescent moi,��� I stated.
Walter commented, ���No wonder you were so contemplative in Sainte Reparate. Something I���ve never seen you execute.���
I answered smilingly, ���I know. I like to effectuate everything I do with GRACE, and, where better to say my little prayer, than within France���s elegant Cathedrale Sainte Reparate.
���You should know by now, the movie, will reflect my sophisticated modish self. Therefore, it���s fitting to be GRATEFUL; to pray for GUIDANCE and most importantly for GRACE, to John's team who are assisting me fulfil my dream.
���Prayers are not meant to ask ���God��� to give us the things we desire or want, but appreciative thankfulness for what has already been provided or will soon be bestowed.���
My beloved expressed, ���Wisely said and artfully prayed.���
He lifted his glass and toasted A Harem Boy���s Saga triumph and successes to my future endeavors.

Small or Large - Author Young: S. of France travel adventures
Walter and I strolled the gardens near La Promenade des Anglais upon our return from Monaco to Nice.
My beloved asked, ���Do you know why this is called ���The Prom���?���
���The name derived from the extensive English presence in the city. Nice was Queen Victoria���s favorite place to visit in the summer. She would arrive with an entourage of over 100 attendants, with turbaned Indian soldiers and kilt wearing Scottish bagpipers. Together with a fanfare of maids, footmen, valets, and butlers.
���Although, she had difficulty walking, she drove herself around the extensive gardens surrounding her summer lodgings - L'Excelsior R��gina Palace, in a cart pulled by a donkey. This allowed her the freedom to explore the city���s narrow alleyways,��� I responded.
���Where did you get this information?��� my ���hubby��� asked.
���My darling dearie, I was educated by the best private tutors during my harem years. Have you forgotten what you read in A HAREM BOY'S SAGA - BOOK II ��� UNBRIDLED, when I first set foot in the French Riviera?���
He did not answer as we strolled across the boardwalk towards the gardens from the main drag, before arriving at the historical square of Place Mass��na.
As we gawked at the naked Apollo and his equally nude retinue that surrounded the Sun God in the middle of Fontaine du Soleil. My beloved commented, ���Apollo���s endowment is tiny, don���t you think?���
���Ancient Greek sculptures often depict heroic deities and demigods with diminutive manhood. Bijou penises were culturally valued.
���Unlike large phalluses which were associated with foolishness, lust and ugliness ��� like satyrs,��� I replied.
���Personally, I prefer larger endowments and so do you,��� he quipped.
I answered wittily, ���You must understand, the ideal traditional Greek male is perceived to be rational, intellectual and authoritative; even if he had a lot of sex. The characterization of a small penis granted him permission to remain logically cool. Large penises were then considered comical or barbaric.
���Classical Greek sculpture had influenced many sculptural representations of the male body in European art. Therefore, it���s of little wonder that small-penis statues have been depicted as the norm throughout Western art history.���
���I still prefer larger penises,��� my lover declared cynically.
���You���ve obviously been indoctrinated by marketers capitalizing on penis size anxiety; by convincing men to shell out for pills to enlargement surgery, that cost thousands of dollars.
���Ancient Greeks thought: the smaller the better, whereas contemporary society thinks: the larger the more desirable. It goes to show our trend du jour obsession with penis size.��� These were my last words before we moved on to our next destination.

There & Back
���Let���s drive to Monte Carlo. I want to show you the place I met Miyaz, the bad boy Grand Prix racer who���s credited for creating the Mercedes McLaren. I���ll also show you the hotel I stayed at with Prince P in 1967,��� I said to Walter.
���Ooouu! I love bad boy Miyaz. The way you described him in DEBAUCHERY is too sexy for words,��� my ���hubby��� expressed.
���That man is definitely sexy, and bad to the bones. If not for Andy and Professor Dubois, I would have ended up used and abused by the man. I���m sorry to inform you, he���s now dead as a doornail,��� I declared.
���How did he die?��� my inquisitive ���husband��� asked.
I blazoned, ���Get your butt moving and I���ll tell you.���
Walter was getting irritated by the minute, the moment we passed the long mountain tunnel from Nice to Monaco. The traffic had built up substantially when we got to the tollbooth. It was crawling at snail's��� pace. I couldn���t turn around, so I sojourned forward with a fuming and boiling ���hubby��� in tow.
He pouted, ���We could���ve spent this time sightseeing in Nice, instead of sitting in traffic.���
I soothed, ���I promise you wouldn���t regret what you���ll see when we get there.���
As we snaked along, rain pelted on the windshield making matters worse.
Thanks to the omnipresent's co-operation, the rain ceased as rapidly as it came, the moment we entered Monte Carlo. Our next hurdle was to avoid the gazillions that had arrived en masse to view the infamous Casino Monte Carlo ��� made famous by none other than James, The James Bond in the movie, Casino Royale.
Wally announced disparagingly, ���Take your darn pictures and we���re out of here.���
Thank God, my saving grace was the Hermitage Hotel; ���hubby��� loved the ���Hermitage��� - the hotel I stayed at, in 1967 with Prince P and our harem entourage.
More ways than one, I���m glad this saying rings true: ���Somethings never change. Like fine wine, it ages with dignity and grace.���
The ���Hermitage��� is one fine example. This grande dame was and still is, as I remembered it in 1967, if not better. It had aged elegantly and appealingly.
