Whew! Finally, book 3 in the Orbus Arcana series. As you can see by the cover, Vince and John are now standing side by side. And, we don’t want to give the book away, but this concludes Vince and John’s love story…but don’t worry, they will have a say when it comes to Angelo’s love story. Vince can’t keep out of Angelo’s business when it comes to Angelo’s stubborn heart. John is trying his best to curb Vince’s desire to see Angelo squirm when it comes to his heart. Those boys!

This is the first book in the Orbus Arcana series and introduces John and Vince. The start of their love story and a perfect way to to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

A Bite In Time is book 2 and available for purchase, and look for Book 3 – Love’s Last Bite on Amazon! We hope to have it published by Valentine’s Day or close to the date. This will conclude John and Vince’s angst filled trip toward their HEA. Vina and I already plotted out book 4 which will feature a new couple from the series.

I can’t believe it’s been a month since I’ve posted. I got caught up in the holidays, and now visiting family for two weeks in California. This means my routine is thrown out the window during the time away from home. The year started out crazy and is continuing through February. Once the dust settles, I hope to get more active online.

Good news. Vina and I finished book 3 of the Orbus Arcana Series – Love’s Last Bite. We are on track for publishing the book mid-February. Yay!

Vina and I worked very hard on making the final romance arc for John and Vince satisfying for our readers. John really takes a leap of faith for Vince. At the end of the month, we are going to plot out book 4 of the Orbus Arcana series featuring one of our favorite secondary characters – can you guess who? In between books, we will be publishing an angel/demon series Book 1 of Deliverance (formerly Sins of Lust) – in edits now. And a cowboy contemporary m/m romance novella – Long, Tall, Cowboy.

Our wish is to keep our readers entertained with our books. Thank you all for your support throughout 2014. We hope to make 2015 even better.

Just checking in to say hello! As always, this time of year is hectic. I want to thank all of you for supporting my work. Vina and I have some exciting books coming out next year. Paranormal/Fantasy but also a contemporary or two. At least this is our goal…life sometimes gets in the way of best laid plans, but we’re hopeful.

Angels and Demons coming in 2015

Vina and I are working on a new series – a m/m fantasy Redemption, Book 1 of the Deliverance series. #AngelsDemons is our hash tag for this one. Vina is helping me resurrect a book of mine that never got off the ground. So we are breathing new life into it and creating a series we hope our readers will enjoy, along with our vampire series, Orbus Arcana. We plan on publishing book 3 and 4 of OA in 2015 as well.

Some of you might remember the book, (old title: Sins of Lust) or not. We are editing and changing some things, but the plot remains. This will be a fantasy series – not paranormal, but I hope you’ll enjoy the heavenly world, which is not all sugar and spice.

Here is a sneak peek at a scene in the first chapter. In a nutshell: The archangel – Razi-el – has committed a crime and will be punished by being banished and his soul cleansed. He’ll live as a Protector, all his memories will be swiped clean. He won’t remember his love for archangel Uri-el or that he was an angel. This is the scene during the Cleansing ritual where he’ll loose his wings and his memories:

This is in Uri’s POV:

Razi’s deep voice sent a shiver through him. Tears moistened Uri’s cheeks at Razi’s endearment of eternal love. Their heartbeats synced. They were one, and it would be this way forever. He would never separate his soul from Razi’s.

Razi’s crisp command infiltrated Uri’s thoughts.

You weren’t supposed to come here.

How can I stay away when you need me?

Y ou pr omised me.

I need to be here with you.

Then promise me this, you’ll live for me.

Uri uttered a cry of surprise and stilled the fingers that sought the hidden dagger in the folds of his robe. So like his lover to read him so well.

As I thought. Let me go in peace, knowing you live. You are too precious to give yourself to the Felo-de-se. Give me your solemn oath!

His life would be bleak and lonely without Razi. He shook his head, wanting to cover his ears. Every moment he lived without him would be a black hole of existence.

Uri! I didn’t save you only to have you die!

How could he refuse Razi’s plea when he put it that way? If Razi had to suffer, then he’d suffer as well. He gritted his teeth and resolved to live.

I love you. For all to witness, I’ll never take another lover.

Our First Audio Book!

How exciting is this? The audio version of For The Bite Of It is now up for sale; narrated by the fabulous Chip Wood.

How did we get there? Well, first we had to decide we wanted an audio version of our book. That part was a cinch. Score Viki 1, Vina 1.

Next, we had to find a narrator. That part was not a cinch. We listened to — can’t even remember how many audio book samples. We scoured the Audible site for producers. We listened to their audio trailers. And one voice stood out between the audio book samples and the trailers – Chip Wood. Vina decides he’s one of the top picks. Sends it Viki and waits with bated breath (so not wanting to listen to any more voices). Thankfully, Viki agrees. Score Viki-Vina still even.

We navigated the ACX system at Amazon (not an intuitive easy to use despite their claims).  We bungled our way through several options and managed to make Chip an offer. He accepted and the rest, folks, is history. The audio version of For The Bite Of It went on sale this past week. And we scored – – love, love, love it.

Chip is conscientious. He made sure he was representing Vince and John just like they were in our heads. He emailed often, checking on pronunciations and names and world-building. We felt like this guy really cared about our work. He produced an excellent audio book and we are so grateful to him. Check out Chip’s portfolio – he does some really fun voices.

Chip is now working on A Bite In Time; expected release sometime in the spring of 2015. We can’t wait to see how Chip takes Vince and John further into their relationship. And of course, then there’s the last book for this duo – Love’s Last Bite.

Creating A Imaginary World.

The third book in the Orbus Arcana series is shaping up. And, it’s several pages more than the last two books. For one, we need to answer all or most of the questions brought up in the first two books. Wrap up the John and Vince’s relationship arc. Another reason for the length is this book is set in the Orbus Arcana world, which means more world building and a tad more description. We want our readers to visualize Vince’s world and also see it through John’s eyes.

Last time I posted pictures of Verno, Vince’s beloved capital city. This rock promontory you see is where Vince likes to go to forget about his problems. His favorite place of meditation. Not an easy climb, but if you’re a vampire, well that’s no problem. You just teleport to the point. Not that Vince always teleports everywhere. Vampires are very polite and they will walk places, and not just show up unexpectedly in someone’s home. Even in bars, vampires will walk in, so not to suddenly materialize in a room and scare the ”fangs’ out of someone.

Changes In The Air

I’ve been making some major changes concerning my writing. I’ve decided to write with author Vina Grey – and we plan on having six new books out in 2015. We are continuing our Orbus Arcana series after we finish book 3 and Vincent and John’s romance arc. Hint: A very dramatic and campy vamp will be the focus on Book 4. We have a new website at Viki Vina Romance - where you’ll find everything about Orbus Arcana and our Halloween free read. Writing, writing, and more writing…

Vina and I are busy writing book 3 – Love’s Last Bite. I’m on chapter nineteen so I see the end of the road – but of course this is the first go around. Writing a book takes a lot of determination. There are times I just want to walk away from my laptop and not think about John and Vince, and the troubles they’re going through. But, they refuse to step outside of my brain, making a home there for the last two years.

November is NaNo month – the month for writers to buckle down and write that novel! I can’t follow the strict routine of writing so many words a day. I’m too much of a scanner, flitting from one thing to another. If I was disciplined I’d get more books out, art created… *Sigh* I’m not wired with the routine gene. My eyes blur over when I see a spreadsheet. I prefer writing my tasks on a large calendar I use for my mousepad.

Of course John and Vincent are at it again in book 3. Here’s an unedited tidbit, subject to change of course.

Vincent tipped back his glass and sipped, and licked a stray drop off his lips. He took another sip, and once more, drops of wine dotted his lips. John’s eyes widened, and he shifted his stance against the wood railing. Vincent swept the tip of his tongue across his lower lip, then pulled that lush lip between his teeth.

“Jesus,” muttered John as his shorts tented.

Vincent’s powerful bicep rippled as he ran a hand through his long hair. “This wine was chosen especially for our last night.”

“Fuck.” John turned into the railing to hide his hard-on. “You’re doing that on purpose.”

“Doing what, amante?” His lover’s voice had dipped into that sexy rumble. “Something bothering you?”

“Go figure,” John said, drily. “It’s you.”

Vincent’s deep chuckle reached out and wrapped around John. “I was thinking how much I want to drip wine on your chest, then lick it off –”

“Stop, Vin. We’re not alone. I’m damn hard already.”
