New Release: Perceived Love
Now available at Loose-Id!
I’m very excited to have this book available again. The book has doubled in size with new chapters and insight into Will and Nate’s relationship. Please give Perceived Love a second chance! Cheers.
Blurb:
When psychic Nate Coleman dreams of a murder, he knows it’s a premonition. He can’t forget the image of his ex-lover with a bullet hole through his chest. Nate has no choice but to confront William and face the skeptical scientist’s ridicule.
Dr. William Ryner doesn’t believe in what he can’t prove. When Nate comes back into his life, it’s not to rekindle their love, but to bring up more of that mumbo jumbo that split them apart.
Despite William’s refusal to listen, Nate can’t ignore the premonition. And, William can’t ignore Nate. Before the gunman strikes, William must choose either trust in Nate’s ability or to rely only on the facts, but if he does the latter, pride could be the death of him.

A Week Away
I just returned from spending a week in Minnesota. With limited Internet access, I was able to deplug and decompress. This was a trip for my husband who is from there. He still has a brother, nieces and now grandniece and grandnephew living in Minneapolis. His best friend from childhood and his friend’s wife live on a small lake up north. We stayed with them for a few days and were able to hike through the woods to view the amazing fall colors.
When we landed in Minneapolis and rented a car, we made our first stop a local coffeehouse (and this city has many choices). I can never resist dessert, especially when traveling. We have no food rules on vacation.
To see the fall c
olors we went to Itasca State Park where I climbed a 100 foot tower to view the canopy of bright trees. Amazing sight.
Our trip ended in Minneapolis. It’s a vibrant art city. Many of their old manufacturing
plants are now lofts and artist studios. I love how the architects built around the old structures.

Rocker Leo needs a break. From the band, roadies, everything related to his present life. Wandering the streets of Vienna, he chances upon a poster that just might change his life. Andre Revele, renowned violinist, and Leo’s ex-lover, is performing in the city. It’s been years since Leo slipped out of Andre’s life in the middle of the night, but he’s never forgotten their passionate love of music and each other.
Andre’s shocked when Leo shows up backstage after his performance. Hell yes, he’s angry, but he can’t walk away. Against his better judgment, he invites Leo to his hotel for a drink. Not sure what he wants from Leo, he knows what his body wants right now. A night of passionate sex leads to another, until he’s lost his heart to Leo again.
When Andre finds his trust in Leo tested, Leo must prove his loyalty by using their one common passion – music – to bind their hearts.
Note: This book was previously released by another publisher, but it has been revised and reedited in this edition.

#MMContemporary – Woodland Village is Back!
Many of you know that I had several books off the shelves due to Musa Publishing closing. I’m happy to say that Woodland Village is Back! I self-published the series through KDP (Amazon). The books are only 2.99 each, so if you haven’t read this series, it’s a great time to buy. And, the series makes for great summer reading. You can pre-order the series now. The books will be released on Amazon July 23!
To read more about Skye and Drew, Ryan and Martin and John and Scott, visit my Woodland Village page on my website: click here
The book covers were designed by Winterheart Design who also did the Orbus Arcana series and Redemption. I love Lex’s creative work and I’m really pleased with the new covers. They are fresh and contemporary, as is the series.

Lover’s Trill and Perceived Love (both Musa orphans) will be released by Loose Id. I will be extending both these books with a lot of added scenes to get to a higher word count for Loose Id’s novella minimum word count. I’m excited about enhancing their stories and fleshing out the characters.

Daily Rituals
Maria Popova wrote in a post:
I think a great deal about the difference between routine and ritual as a special case of our more general and generally trying quest for balance — ripped asunder by the contrary longings for control and whimsy, we routinize daily life in order to make its inherent chaos more manageable, then ritualize it in order to imbue its mundanity with magic, which by definition violates the predictable laws of the universe.
I like this definition. Rituals can help lead to habits that support your creative practice. Even creativity needs practice and ritual can set your intention and determination toward fulfilling your goal.
Art Markman wrote in a post:
To really develop a habit for creative practice, you need a regular ritual. For example, Stephen King (a prolific and creative writer) sits down each morning to write for a few hours. He compares the process of getting ready to write to the ritual of getting ready to go to sleep.
Rituals don’t have to be elaborate. They can be as simple as my ritual of cleaning my working space before I begin a new book.

Summer Magic
I love this article about an Italian teacher’s summer homework list.
“Instead of giving his students required reading assignments, Catà gave them a prescription for how to live an inspired life, telling them that in the next few months, they should take time to admire a sunrise, dream about the future and read, because reading is “the best form of rebellion you have.”
It’s a beautiful list and inspires creativity – and as a writer, I need to constantly fuel my creative spirit!
A few of my favorites are:
3. Read as much as you possibly can. But not because you have to. Read because summers inspire adventures and dreams, and when you read you’ll feel like swallows in flight. Read because it’s the best form of rebellion you have (for advice on what to read, come see me).
4. Avoid things, situations and people who make you feel negative or empty: seek out stimulating situations and the companionship of friends who enrich you, who understand you and appreciate you for who you are.
7. At least once, watch the sunrise. Stay silent and breathe. Close your eyes, be thankful.
11. Be as happy as sunlight, as untamable as the sea. (my very fav!)
