Announcing the book cover for the NEW DI Andy Horton - Fatal Catch
I'm delighted to showcase the cover for the NEW DI Andy Horton
crime novel, number 12 in the series to feature the flawed and rugged
sailing detective, Fatal Catch. Fatal Catch will be published in September in the UK in hardcover by Severn House Publishers. It will be published in the USA in January.

The DI Andy Horton crime novels in order
Do I have to read the DI Andy Horton series in order?
The answer is no. They can all be read in any order because it can never be determined which
book a reader might buy online or from a bookshop or borrow from a
library first. Some readers have told me that they've discovered Andy
Horton in a later book in the series and then having done so have gone
back to the beginning and read them in sequence.
There are now now eleven in the DI Andy Horton series with Shroud of Evil the latest to be published and number twelve, Fatal Catch, being published in the UK in September 2015 and in the USA in January 2016.
Death Surge, is now published in paperback and as an ebook and is also available in hardcover. as are the others. Many are also available as audio books and in large print. So DI Horton has come a long way since first appearing in Tide of Death in 2006.
In each DI Andy Horton there is an element of the main character���s personal life to follow, but each novel contains a new murder mystery to be solved.

What's on in June 2015
June 2015 is relatively quiet in terms of talks and appearances but I am
looking forward to entertaining the audience of Totton South U3A on 19
June.
Aside from that I will as ever be busy writing throughout June. I have just finished fifth revisions to DI Andy Horton number 13 in the series and will now be setting that aside for a while as I put the finishing touches to the second in the Art Marvik crime series.

Pauline Rowson on writing routines, research and thinking time
I'm often asked if I have a writing routine and the answer is not strictly although I do like to write every day if I possibly can, speaking engagements permitting. But "writing" isn't just pounding away on a keyboard. Creating a novel requires more. There is, of course, the research which can be desk research conducted via the internet, books and newspapers, and secondary research, which involves talking to the experts and visiting locations. There is also thinking time.

by Douglas Wynn.

Entertaining the gentlemen of Ferndown Probus, Dorset
I had a great time at the Dudsbury Golf Club, Hotel and Spa, Dorset on Wednesday entertaining the gentlemen of Ferndown Probus, not
on how to play a round of Golf or on any beauty matters but with tales
of criminality in respect of DI Andy Horton and Art Marvik.
I was delighted to be invited to give a talk about how I write my crime novels. They were a fab bunch and asked some interesting questions such as
'What's my preferred method of killing someone if I was a murderer ?'
and they even asked my husband 'What's the worse thing about being
married to a crime writer?' which he very diplomatically answered,
'nothing'. Maybe he had his fingers crossed!
So here are my answers:
