Lemon Orange Cake

Here is a recipe my middle daughter took to the county fair one year. It is delicious.

1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/4 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
5 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
