'Whatever people say I am that's what I'm not.'Arctic Monkeys.

I was born in England in the sixties. Apparently stuff happened then but I was riding a tricyle and eating dirt.

I've written for a swag of mags over the years. The late lamented Ram and Juke, On The Street, The Age, The Sunday Sun, Mania, Australian Musician,Launceston Examiner, Time Out and Women's Forum which was a pervy mag for females.

I moved to Australia when I was a kid and grew up in Tasmania. Melbourne has been home since the mid '80s.

My bands include none that you've heard of.

However ... get your friends to read your stuff and be honest with you. If you have something they'll know. Try to get someone who writes professionally; could be a journo, anyone, to see what they think and be honest with you. If they like it too, keep writing and send stuff to a publisher. They will look at it at some point. Could take a while.(less)

But there has never been a book which takes a closer look at the songs that are a bit dodgy, average or plain bad. I'm a fan of the band but not a nerd about them. What I've attempted to do is make the book amusing and to examine what went wrong during the group's time as the biggest thing on the planet other than the actual planet.
Of course no-one will agree with my list. Some might think it's heresy. But hopefully It'll start a few arguments.(less)
