The Mission Out Today

Release day for my Christmas story. mybook.to/themissionelsborg

Snow! Tick.

Skiing! Tick.

Christmas! Tick.

Stalker! Er…

When Conrad and his ex split up three months before their upcoming work ski trip, Conrad’s unwavering passion for the slopes overshadows his reservations about a holiday anywhere near his ex and his new partner. But as ‘friends’ keep hinting he should cancel, he wishes he’d seen sense earlier. Now it’s too late to get his money back.

A clash of heads at check-in with a handsome stranger sets Conrad’s heart racing. Arlo is bound for the same Austrian resort, sparking Conrad’s daydreams of shared slopes, shared après-ski, shared hot tubs and more…while fully aware that spotting Arlo in the mountains will be almost impossible.

Little does Conrad know Arlo has orchestrated this moment. Now all Arlo has to do is convince Conrad he has the best of intentions. After all, if they don’t click by the end of the flight, Conrad will never know he’s been stalked.

I'd also like to show you my three favourite reads of 2023 - https://shepherd.com/bboy/2023/f/barbara-elsborg Difficult decision!!

Release Day!

Hold On was a tricky book to write. How to redeem a murderer? The book also required a lot of research about prisons and secure psychiatric hospitals. I had to take liberties with the way things operate in these establishments. Some information was impossible to obtain so I had to guess. I don't like guessing. I like to be sure of my facts but I did my best.

I hope you'll give the story a chance. It isn't necessary to have read book one - He's the One - before Hold On, but of course the second book does take up where the first leaves off so....

I've been busy preparing The Mission - the expanded Christmas story which will be out on the 11th Nov. A Spaceman Came Travelling will be out on the 1st Dec but I'm not going to finish another book before the end of the year. I'm still dithering on how to proceed with my sci fi story but in the meantime I've started a new book and have written one chapter!

Please consider leaving a review when you read any of my books. It really helps with visibility on Amazon.

Thank you!

Hold On - out soon

Finally, I have a release date for Hold On, the second in the Fate We Make series. It is a standalone, following on the story of Dominic.

WARNING

This is the story of two damaged men. One has suffered throughout his life, the other for a shorter period of time. It’s a story about holding onto hope, and it has a happy ever after. But…

Please note that one of the main characters in the story is in prison for murder. Sexual, physical and psychological abuse of a child is mentioned but no on-page detail is given. Sexual abuse of an adult is also mentioned but not shown on-page. Suicide is also mentioned in passing but not part of the story. There is some graphic violence.

Hold On

Ren narrowly survives the most dangerous situation of his life, but at least his attackers think he’s dead. Spending the summer stuck on his brother’s archaeological dig isn’t his idea of fun, but it beats being fussed over by his mother. It’s as good a place as any to heal physical and mental scars, and he has plenty of those.

The roar of Ren’s motorbike is his lifeline, the one thing that makes him feel truly alive. But a moment’s lapse in concentration and he knocks Dominic off his feet. The accident brings together two damaged souls whose pasts won’t stay buried. With danger on their tail, hanging on to hope—and to each other—won’t be easy.

Join Dominic and Ren as they fight to keep the shadows of the past at bay and their future bright. In a world where love is fragile, two hearts learning to heal may just discover love is worth the risk.

I've also made a trailer! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AmlRkIKefFM

Release date 15th Oct. It is available for preorder on Amazon.https://pge.me/holdon

Sorry and sorry

Real life has interfered yet again with my writing. It can't be helped. Family comes first and at last a nanny has been found so by the end of September, my life is my own again. Well, mostly.

I'm making good progress on Dominic's story and do hope it will be finished soon. I'm glad now that I took out an actual release date from the back of He's The One because I don't work well under deadlines.

The two Christmas stories just need extending, then I can get back to Kian's Monster. So many projects and not enough time that is totally mine. I've been painting at daughter's, sadly obliterating a mural in the boys' room because they want something different. It took 2 special undercoats and two top coats to lose the fish, the seaweed, the manta and the whale. I can't wait to see what replaces them. Watch this space!

Old room below!

Finally

It seems a lifetime since I launched a new book - but family took precedence and although things aren't settled, I did manage to finish He's The One. Release date 25th June. It can be preordered on Amazon

https://mybook.to/hestheone It's the first in a short series and book two is one third complete.

On release day, there will be a new story in the bonus content section of this site for those who have signed up for my newsletter - only sent when I have a new release so you don't get swamped. BUT you need to read the book first because the free story has a spoiler. If you don't fancy the book, you can read the story - as it does work as a little standalone tale.

He's the One

Col’s world is falling apart. His relationship has been exposed as a sham, he’s lost his home, and been fired from his job as a stonemason. Who says bad luck doesn’t come in threes? With no option but to move back in with his parents, and with his efforts to find a new job hitting a brick wall, life is going nowhere.

Theo, unwilling heir to the ancient Asquith Hall estate, is desperate to gain some independence from his overbearing family. Despite his efforts to live up to the role he never wanted, he’s constantly battling to earn his family’s respect. Being made to feel lacking takes its toll, and sometimes, it’s hard to stay happy.

When a near fatal accident forces their paths to cross, Col and Theo discover in each other the connection both have been craving. As their love story unfolds, so do the secrets and sadness hidden at the heart of Asquith Hall. The past can’t be changed, but with Col’s stonemasonry skills and Theo’s determination, they might just be able to restore what’s broken and find happiness.

Warning – past child abuse of a secondary character (no on-page detail), descriptions of violence, horrible parents and lovely parents, wayward brothers, a man who mends stone and hearts, and a young man who never has an unspoken thought.

Done and nearly done

Life is still a bit of mess family-wise but I have finished first draft of He's the One - now with alpha/beta readers. Hopefully out in June.

I thought you might be interested in a bit of the story that involves a Roman coin.

I had to do some research on what coin might have been found by my hero and came up with a Crispus. Crispus Caesar was a son of Emperor Constantine. Crispus was a loyal soldier, had fought in his father's wars and appeared to be a good son. But Constantine's second wife accused Crispus of raping her. Constantine had Crispus poisoned to death. Then had his wife boiled alive. Scholars aren't sure of who did what - in this whodunnit. Whether the rape ever happened, if others were scheming etc. I think we'll never know the truth.

All I can think is poor Crispus - who had a wife and two children of his own and was likely innocent. But I might be wrong.

I told husband the story and he bought me a Crispus. A bronze coin dating back to 317 - 326 AD It wasn't expensive for something so old. But a treasure to me! Sorry the pic isn't clearer but I don't want to take it out of the packet.

Life and its downs

I don't tend to share personal info on my blog but I wanted to explain my month's silence. And yet, I can't explain because it's not my story to tell. All I can say is that it's family issues involving my daughter and her three lovely little children. I've been living with them for a month trying to help them put their lives back on track and it's been exhausting. I've not only not written anything, but I've not been able to read either. But there is light at the end of the tunnel and hopefully things will get better.

I do have a story that I was working on pre-issues and I hope to get back to that soon. It features Col who's a stonemason and Theo who's a bit of a mystery. I also have another story part written called Kian's Monster. I hope both of the books will be published this year.

Love to everyone who's going through a hard time.

Charity Anthology out today!

This anthology is released today- on World Aids Day and all profits will be given to charities in the UK and US in support of HIV / AIDS.

It’s Christmas…it’s snowing, there are gifts to give and receive, trees to decorate and all the great food to enjoy. It’s a time to spread kindness where men are falling in love, lust and everything in between.

From a school reunion, a morning after a one-night stand, university friends, a secret agent, an ex-husband in a coma, an unemployed truck driver, a naked man in a snowstorm, a village policeman, a motherless boy, Kind Hearts At Christmas has something for everyone. Each story features romance between men during the Christmas holidays, as they express their desires, from sweet kisses, up to spicy so-much-more.

Kind Hearts At Christmas has all the tropes including: snowed in, cowboys, holiday, forced proximity, fairy-tale folklore, established couple, adult film star, only one bed, return to hometown, hurt/comfort, school crushes, opposites attract, good boy/bad boy, found family & enemies to lovers.

Grab some hot chocolate sprinkled with marshmallows, indulge in a mince pie or a slice of Christmas cake, curl up and escape into the Christmassy romance. With thirteen stories by some of your favourite mm romance authors, you're sure to find something to help you rediscover the joy and kindness of Christmas!

This anthology will only be available until 28 February 2023. Make sure you don’t miss buying your copy.

My story is called A Spaceman Came Travelling.

When Seven overhears Ben’s Christmas wish, he turns Secret Santa.

In trying to mend a motherless little boy's heart, could he end up with a Christmas miracle of his own?

Please give us your support. It's on KU as well so can be borrowed.
