Refreshing that Amazon page
I never thought I'd sit here refreshing an Amazon page, but seeing my book climb from #5 to #4 has got me clicking that refresh button way too often. (What about coffee? What about lunch? What about plans for Boxing Day afternoon? say the family...) Still, it's kind of cool, and I'm definitely dreaming of #1 whether or not I make it--can you help?

Five-Minute Bible Story Series
The Five-Minute Bible Story Series is growing. Re-edited, re-formated, re-proofread (my Mum's a wonderful help, though I'm not sure this is really what she planned when she flew here from England), and re-covered with the most gorgeous cover art (Thank you Cape Arago Press), the storybooks should all be available on Kindle for Christmas. For those of you with kindles under the Christmas tree and an urgent need to fill them, Genesis People will even be free on kindle from December 26th to 30th...

Mindjack series continues and I'm eager to read.
I'm happy to welcome Susan Quinn to my blog today with a cover reveal for her new Mindjack novel. I've just read the first of three short stories introducing the characters and premise, and I really enjoyed it (click here for my review of Mind Games). There's definitely something intriguing about a world where people who can't read minds are considered inferior until... the mind turns out to be a weapon. So, over to you Susan. What can you tell us about the book that goes with this intriguing...

Signed it!
Last January in our local writers' group we wrote goals on small pieces of paper and stored them in a box. Next month the box gets opened. The goals are unsigned and the aim's just to see how much we've each achieved during the year. Even if we don't achieve our goals, we're bound to succeed at somebody's. And then we'll set new goals for the coming year.
In 2012 my goal was to see a book written by me gracing a bookshelf in a genuine bookstore. And today I achieved it! (Can you tell I'm bounc...

Kindles under the Christmas tree
All those kindles under all those Christmas tree, kindling learning, reading and joy, and all those wonderful books... to which Cape Arago Press is adding my children's Bible stories. If I've been away from my computer too much, failing to answer emails, not following enough Facebook links, or Linking In enough, or Gathering, then here's my excuse, and it's certainly a joyful excuse for me. Cape Arago Press are about to release Genesis People on kindle, with the most gorgeous cover

Greek myths and urban legends

Today I get to welcome author Michael Williams to my blog. He's written a fascinating mix of Greek tragedy and urban legend in his novel, Vine: an Urban Legend. Given my interest in history, mythology, faith and science, you can tell that's one story I'm definitely eager to read, and Michael gives a fascinating introduction to how and why he wrote the novel in his guest post here. Click on http://www.firstrulepublicity.com/current-tours/vine-an-urban-legend/ to find more stops on the tour, an...
