Meet "Deadly" author Amy Manemann

I'm honored to welcome author Amy Manemann to my blog today to answer a few questions about her writing life. Tomorrow the conversation continues on www.amymanemann.blogspot.com where Amy's hosting me, so don't forget to head over there in the morning.

Amy Manemann, is the author of Deadly Reunion and Deadly Science, the first two books of the Deadly Series (Taci Andrews Mysteries) and Dracula’s Party, her first children’s book. She resides in her hometown along the Mississippi river with her...

Holiday Reading! Don't miss this one.

Books make terrific holiday gifts, but finding perfect books for friends and family is always a challenge. You stand in the store trying to remember where that last book you looked at was. Or you go home and wish you'd remembered to pick up the one with the blue cover. If only we could flip through a few sample pages on our own schedules. If only the bookstore could come to us. Well guess what readers, here's one bookstore that's doing just that!
Twelve amazing authors have come together to o...

Dividing Time

Dividing time feels a bit like dividing by zero--the answer's undefined; the process is messy; and nothing works out the way it should. This last few weeks I've been trying to divide my time between:

preparing our writing group's journal for publication
getting ready for our local Christmas Bazaar
marketing Divide by Zero
fixing the next draft of Infinite Sum
editing for my publisher, and
catching up on reading and reviews.

So, the journal's almost ready; the friends sharing my table at the bazaar...

My book's in Powells! And my book reviews are on gather

Yes! Divide by Zero is really in Powells, on a shelf, waiting to be sold. But it's not reached my local branch yet--they say it'll arrive in a couple of weeks and I can do a "drive-by" book-signing, but I'll have to bring a friend with a camera so I can post pictures afterwards. Of course, if you've already found Divide by Zero in a store, I'd love to post a photo from you too!

For those of you following the Divide by Zero blog tour, here are my latest stops:

Writing where you Work, and other forms of Research

I'm delighted to welcome Dean Mayes to my blog today. Author of Hambledown Dream, he's just released a new novel, Gifts of the Peramangk.

I read and reviewed Hambledown Dream a while ago, an intriguing romance with hints of reincarnation and redemption, set in the US and Australia. Gifts is set in Australia too and centers on the music of violins rather than Hambledown Dream's guitars, but it promises the same deep questions of identity and separated cultures that made Dream such a good book....

Kingdom book tour. Biopunk defined.

KINGDOM - First Rule Publicity Tours I'm delighted to be part of First Rule Publicity's Kingdom Virtual Book Tour today. I've even just finished reading the book, described in the author blurb as a biopunk, dystopian noir-esque thriller... an intriguing concept... Whatever else it is, Kingdom 's a genuinely thought-provoking science fiction novel, very dark, hard-hitting, and threaded with mystery and possibility. Here's my review:

My Next Big Thing...

I'm not sure if the Next Big Thing blog hop refers to new authors or new books, but it's meant to help connect indie authors to readers, and I'm delighted to have been passed the torch  by Ms Martha Emms, author of A Portrait of Our Marriage, so please follow the links and find out more about her. Meanwhile, thank you Martha for “tagging” me.

The rules of the blog hop are simple: Answer ten questions about your WIP (Work in Progress) and tag five more writers/bloggers to do the same. A ch...
