"Leather Cormorant" in Ornithologi��

 

Egaeus Press has just announced the publication of Ornithologi��, an original anthology of weird and macabre stories with the theme of birds. I'm very pleased to have had a brand new story, "Leather Cormorant", chosen for publication in this book. 

The anthology is beautifully produced and features an excellent roster of authors, as Egaeus anthologies always do. I am especially honoured to have "Leather Cormorant" published alongside the last story of the late Ron Weighell, who passed in 2020. Ron was among my favourite contemporary authors of occult fiction. His demise leaves a true void in our field.

In other news, Theion Publishing is now shipping the Auric Edition of my 2015 book The Benighted Path: Primeval Gnosis & The Monstrous Soul (2nd edition). My forthcoming book of esotericism, The Infernal Masque, is currently at the printers in Germany and shall be released later this summer. This has been an especially fruitful time for me as an author of both Horror fiction and esotericism and I look forward to sharing details of further projects in the coming weeks. In the meantime, may you all be in good spirits and good health.

It is with great pleasure that I announce The Infernal Masque. This will be a brand new non-fiction book of esotericism, several years in the making. The Infernal Masque is something of an extension of my 2015 book The Benighted Path: Primeval Gnosis & the Monstrous Soul. It will be published this summer by the superb Theion Publishing.

While this new edition does not include any additional material, it does serve as something of a foundation for my next book of esotericism, coming soon from Theion. I'm very happy to have this 2015 book back in print so that it is available to anyone interested.

'The Intercessor'

Much of 2021 saw me working on my next book of esotericism. As a consequence, I wrote only a single short story this year. It is entitled 'The Intercessor.' I am happy to report that this tale will be published next year in Looming Low Volume II, edited by Sam Cowan and Justin Steele. 

In 2017 my story 'Banishments' was included in the first Looming Low; a story that went on to be chosen by Stephen Jones for Best New Horror #29. So, I am extremely pleased to be included in the second volume.

BEST NEW HORROR 31

I am extremely pleased to share that my story "Crawlspace Oracle," which was originally published in the anthology Mannequin: Tales of Wood Made Flesh, has been chosen by Stephen Jones to appear in Best New Horror #31, coming this fall from PS Publishing. Further details will be announced here. 

Judging by the announcements I have seen online, it appears that Steve Jones has assembled another spectacular roster for this year's volume.
