DISMISSALS AND REPLACEMENTS
1. The Malaysian Insider recently reported the MACC Chief Abu Kassim might be replaced, basing it on “source”.
2. Abu Kassim has some health problem but he himself says that he hopes to retire at 60, the mandatory retirement age. Obviously he does not think that his health would force him to retire any time soon.
3. Government has certain procedures for sick employees to retire before reaching retirement age. A Medical Board will have to be set up to examine the health of the person who seeks to retire early.
4. The Board will issue a proper medical report on the state of the person’s health and certify his being unfit to work.
5. If the officer’s appointment is at the pleasure of the Yang di Pertuan Agong, then the certificate must be produced for the Agong to agree to his retirement, and for his signature.
6. There is doubt whether in the case of the former A.G. Tan Sri Ghani Patail the procedures were followed. When he was retired the PM stated that it was for health reasons. Ghani himself denied this although he was suffering from kidney failure. A kidney failure person can work for quite a considerable length of time. It is not a cause for early retirement.
7. And now Ghani is reported to begin a career as a lawyer. Obviously he is fit to work.
8. The question is whether the MACC chief will also be retired prematurely for health reason? It is known that the MACC has submitted its report to the AG. The AG says he would act without fear or favour. But he requires time as the report piles up to his height. How much time? Or is the AG to determine whether there is a case for the judges to judge or will he be the judge and dismiss the case as indeed he had done with the Bank Negara report.
9. There is currently a deficit in terms of trust in the present Government and its institutions. There are many reasons for this deficit. Saying that everything is fine will get the Government nowhere. Deeds count more than words.
10. The removal of Tan Sri Abu Kassim will only convince the people that all that is being said against the Government is true, that it exist merely to prevent the rule of law being applied to the leadership of the nation.

TPPA
1. The Government could not care less for whatever opposition that is voiced by anyone in Malaysia or abroad against signing the TPPA. It will go ahead and sign.
2. The MITI Minister assures us that we can get out of the agreement anytime we want.
3. Yes indeed we can. But it is not going to be easy and the cost would practically bankrupt us.
4. In the TPPA agreement companies can sue Government for loss of profit including future profit if Government action results in the loss.
5. In one case in a Latin American country, for reasons of massive pollution, the Government decided to stop the mining operation granted to an American company. The company then sued the Government for loss of profit, including future profit amounting to several billion US Dollars.
6. A decision to withdraw from the TPPA will obviously result in loss of profit and future profits by companies investing in Malaysia or trading with Malaysia.
7. The withdrawal will involve numerous companies and the purported loss will run into hundreds of billions. The court will not be ours where we can count on sympathy and concern for what will happen to our economy and finances. There is also no way we can pressure or bribe the courts. We will just have to pay the billions.
8. So please don’t talk about extricating ourselves from this treaty for controlling trade and investments called the TPPA. It is not for promoting free trade. It is entirely dedicated to regulating trade.
9. Against this perhaps we should remember that when we had entered into no such treaty we became the 17th biggest trading nation in the world. We were free to protect ourselves and to devise policies beneficial to all of us Malaysians. We grew fast at that time. We traded with whomever we liked.
10. I can say a lot of other things which are bad about the TPPA. But the Government wouldn’t care of course. The Government will do what it wants to do. Don’t ask why. You know what answer tou will get when you ask the Government any question.
VERSI BM
TRANS-PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT (TPPA)

THE PARIS ATTACK
1. Everyone, certainly every Muslim must condemn the dastardly attack by Muslims in Paris when more than 100 innocent people were killed. It was not one incident but it consisted of a series of coordinated attacks in different parts of Paris. It certainly gave Islam and the Muslims a bad image. It practically justified the claim that Islam is associated with terrorism.
2. Obviously, something has to be done to put an end to such attacks. The French Government is calling for a coalition of countries against the ISIS and against terrorism generally. The whole world seems prepared to join in the fight against ISIS in particular.
3. If we care to study history, we would not fail to note that such acts of terror have been escalating over the years. They are getting more and more terrifying and brutal all the time.
4. Those who feel concerned would notice that these acts of terror are largely confined to the Arab States in the Middle East. They began with the creation of the state of Israel on Palestinian land. The Palestinian Arabs were massacred and expelled from their country by Irgun and Haganah terrorist groups of the Israelis. They lost their land, their homes and their fruit orchards. They had to live in shabby refugee camps in other countries in the region. For well over 60 years they suffer the deprivations of displaced people. At first a few Arab countries tried to regain Palestine through conventional wars. From 1948 to 1982 they attacked Israel. But every time they were defeated as Israel was supplied with arms and money and even soldiers by America and the European countries.
5. The Arab countries accepted the fact that they could never win a war against Israel. So they ceased trying after 1982.
6. In 1987 Yasser Arafat set up the PLO Al Fatah group and started the first intifada. At first it consisted of Palestinian children throwing stones at Israeli tanks. The Israelis countered by shooting at the children, with rubber coated and live bullets killing many, arresting and jailing some of the others. Far from stopping the Israelis, they actually expanded their territories by building settlements on Palestinian land. This setting up of settlements in other people’s land is totally unprecedented. Yet the world did not condemn Israel.
7. Then the Palestinians set up guerrilla units to attack the Israelis. The Israelis retaliated by bombarding and reducing to rubble Arab towns and villages. There were many arrests of Arabs, who were jailed without trial.
8. When the Palestinians sought refuge in Lebanon, Israel invaded Lebanon and massacred thousands of refugees in Sabra and Shatila camps. They forced the expulsion of the PLO from Lebanon.
9. The Palestinians resorted to suicide bombings. They did little damage but their action was described as terrorism. They also fired primitive rockets at Israel, with hardly any effect.
10. The Israelis retaliated by bombing, rocketing Gaza, Jenin and other towns until thousands died, hundreds of thousands wounded.
11. Rebuilding the destroyed homes was blocked by the Israeli blockade of building materials. The blockade also prevented supplies of food and medicine from reaching Gaza and other destroyed towns and villages. The survivors had to shelter in wrecked buildings and tents, exposed to freezing cold in winter. Until now they have not been able to rebuild their homes.
12. The Gazans made primitive rockets and fired them at Israel, as usual with little damage. Israel rocketed and bombarded Gaza invading it and destroying almost all the buildings including schools and hospitals.
13. Then Iraq was attacked by the American and British forces and Saddam Hussein was overthrown and hanged. Without a strong Government, the Sunnis and Shiahs began to fight each other, committing brutalities against each other. Under Saddam they had lived in peace.
14. Then the West urged the Arabs to overthrow the autocratic Governments of many of the Arab states. The result was chaos, anarchy and civil wars.
15. There is an uprising in Syria. The civil war destroyed the whole country. Four million Syrians fled the country. They suffered terribly. The same is now happening in Yemen.
16. The whole Arab world is in a state of turmoil as Arabs fight Arabs. Groups of Syrian rebels were trained, equipped and financed by foreign powers to fight against the Bashar Assad Government. The Government fought back.
17. Some of the rebels decided to use the weapons supplied to them by America to fight for the setting up of an Islamic State. To be noticed and to be feared they indulge in unheard of brutality. They slit the throats of innocent captives with short knives and they shot dead a lot of other innocent captives including teenage boys. They burnt alive some of their captives. And now they have expanded their activities to Europe, shooting innocent people.
18. While mounting military operations against these people are logical and will probably be fairly effective; the acts of terror and the killing of innocent people will not end. The death of leaders or killers will be replaced by new recruits who probably would be more brutal.
19. The only way to end the terror is to tackle the root causes. Among these will be the unstinting support for Israel by Americans and Europeans. This must stop.
20. The setting up of the state of Israel is a fait accompli which even the Arabs have to accept. They put their faith in the Stockholm agreement but Israeli oppression continued. They killed Yitzhak Rabin to ensure that peace will not prevail.
21. Killing stone throwing children, arresting them and jailing them for years without trial is excessive and criminal.
22. Building settlements on Palestinian land and excluding the Palestinian from what is their land, building roads on Palestinian land which the Palestinians are barred from using, erecting road blocks obstructing travel in Palestine by Palestinians, delaying pregnant mothers from going to the hospital until they gave birth to their children at the road blocks; building walls to split up villages, killing thousands of Palestinian refugees in the refugee camps, breaking into hospitals to drag out sick Palestinians for execution, illegally blockading relief food, medicine and building materials from reaching the Palestinians, arresting thousands of Palestinians and detaining them for years without trial, using them as hostages to exchange for captured Israelis, destroying towns, villages and the Gaza Strip with rockets, bombs, heavy guns, tanks and tractors, often destroying houses while the people are still inside and lots more, are still being committed by Israel.
23. All these things are wrong, are against the laws of all countries and of International laws and practices, against the norms of human behaviour, inhuman and immoral. But the Europeans who insist they believe in the rule of law, believe in human rights, in justice and fairplay did not condemn the Israelis, and certainly did not try to stop them. They even seem supportive of all the wrong deeds of the Israelis.
24. The world does not care for the sufferings and humiliation of the Palestinians. It’s as if the Palestinians are not of the human race.
25. The sufferings of the Palestinian, the injustice towards them, the humiliation are felt also by other Arabs, even other Muslims. Angry and frustrated, humiliated, unable to retaliate conventionally, insulted over their beliefs and their faith in Islam, the Arabs and other Muslims had to retaliate, to give back as much as they can the cruelties perpetrated against them.
26. And so their so-called acts of terror escalated. The more they fail the greater is the brutality which they exercise. As no Muslims states are prepared to act, they attempt to set up their own state. Unable to launch a conventional war, they resort to what is described as acts of terror.
27. And the acts of terror will continue and escalate until there are some real effort to redress the sufferings, humiliation and injustice that the Palestinians, the Arabs and Muslims have been subjected to by the Israelis backed by the European and the Americans.
28. I have no sympathy for IS and abhor the kind of terror they indulge in. What they do is completely against the teachings of Islam and the accepted norms of human behaviour.
29. Terrorism is a bane on the life of ordinary people. They never know when they will be victims of terror. We applaud the idea of stopping acts of terror. But mere military action will not defeat terrorists. Only the removal of the causes of terrorism will do that.
30. The causes are known and have been listed above. Israeli intransigence must be stopped and the settlements and seizure of Palestinian land be reversed. When these things are done then only will there be less frustrations and anger among Muslims and less resort to acts of terrorism. Failure to admit the causes will only lead to the continuance and escalation of acts of terror.

UCAPAN PRESIDEN UMNO
ENG VERSION
UMNO PRESIDENT’S SPEECH
1. The speech by the President of UMNO at the UMNO General Assembly 2015 is very disappointing. It was focused on and limited to only defending himself.
2. The President claimed that he is a gentleman, magnanimous, courageous, not timid and would not relent.
3. The struggle of the party and his government were not mentioned. Nor were there any explanation on issues such as 1MDB and the sum of 2.6 billion Ringgit in his account at Arab Malaysian Bank which representatives want to know so they can explain to other members and the public.
4. The nation’s economy has deteriorated, the depreciation of the Ringgit and their impact on the cost of living and the cost of imports was not commented upon and there were no suggestions as to how to deal with these problems. Problems caused by GST were also not be touched upon, just how the government was saved by the heavy taxes imposed on the people.
5. Education policy and uncertainty on use of the medium of instruction were not discussed.
6. What was touched upon and stressed is the assistance by Deputy President, Vice Presidents and members for the President.
7. The assistance referred to in the constitution as the role of Deputy President and Vice Presidents was construed solely as support for the President. In English assistance actually means “assist” or “help”. “Assistance” and “help” means to give opinions and advice on policies and actions proposed by the President. If the President is weak, or sickly, then the Deputy President and the Vice-Presidents should help. If the president is wrong, other members need to correct.
8. But the President only interpret assistance as support. Thus, it was mentioned in a speech of “loyalty and obedience to the leadership” that “when we are called we come, when we are told to go we go” – That is how noble the principle of loyalty and obedience is. That is all that is required by the President.
9. All members of the party at all levels do not have to think, need not make any contribution but when asked to come you come, and asked to go you go. When the President asked that the Party be destroyed, then destroy it. Do not ask, do not criticize and do not disagree. This is the policy and the will of the President of the Party.
10. If you do not obey the instructions of the President or point a finger at errors of the President then action is taken to suspend or expel from the party.
11. Threats are made for the police to summon for questioning and be accused.
12. I am not only being questioned by the police but sanctions made against me are worse than against leaders of the opposition.
13. All halls are closed for me so I do not get to meet and talk with UMNO members or the public. Hotels are warned they will not be given government business if I were allowed to speak in their function rooms.
14. The Deputy President was not allowed to open the meeting of wings of UMNO as has been the Party’s tradition. The Deputy President was also dismissed from the post of Deputy Prime Minister. Thus Shafie Afdal, the Vice-President was also not allowed to speak after being sacked from the post of minister.
15. Is this the attitude of a gentleman who is magnanimous? It is more inclined to an attitude of a boss that ties the hands of the enemy so that they can be beaten without retaliation. Formerly, challenging the President is a common thing and challengers are free to speak anywhere. But not now.
16. Now Zahid as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs is striving so that I am again questioned by the police for speeches and writings in my blog. Under what law am I being questioned? Criticizing Party President or Prime Minister, even calling for PM to resign is not wrong in a democratic country. Why from the thousands of people who ask Najib to step down (banners by football spectators at Kedah vs Selangor who want Najib to resign) am I the only one to be questioned by police. The principle of justice demands that the law be enforced on all people without discrimination.
17. Because they are prohibited, representatives of UMNO in the General Assembly cannot ask about 1MDB and the money supposedly for UMNO in Najib’s account. The sum of RM2.6 billion in Arab-Malaysian Bank has been moved to Singapore. UMNO have the right to get a report on the position of this money. Even previously, donation had been handed over to the President of UMNO and deposited into an account of UMNO which is placed under the care of UMNO trustee. This money is handed over to the new President of UMNO when there is leadership change, as UMNO-owned and not owned by the President. Why is UMNO not notified and 2.6 billion not handed over to it when Najib claimed that the money was not for him but for the party? Not handing over is an offence.
18. Furthermore, evidence are required to be shown in respect of income tax paid when money is in the personal account of Najib. This is also part of the law of the country. Arab-Malaysian Bank was fined 50 million Ringgit for specific offenses but Najib as the owner of a big sum of money is not imposed any payment, as far as is known. Where is it mentioned that the Prime Minister is immune to the laws of the country.
19. Indeed, the President’s speech in UMNO’s General Assembly was very disappointing.
20. There are those who do not understand at all the issues facing the party. They thought this is the problem of relationship between the President and Deputy President. Therefore, just some cordial hand shakes will solve the problem.
21. This is not about relationship or friendship. This is an issue of misconduct of the President that can lead to the party being defeated in the election.
22. The option for the party is for the President to explain the whereabouts of the missing money and return it to UMNO or the government or the President resigns.
23. But the President chose to block an investigation into the loss of billions of Ringgit of government money. Replacing it with the investigation by a person who is not trusted by society will not eliminate people’s doubts. Saying that investigation is ongoing and it will be sub-judice and cannot be discussed will not be accepted as true by people. It is not being heard in court and talking about it is not sub-judice. Of course if the President clarifies the issue about the RM2.6 billion money and 1MDB it is not illegal. By not clarifying means the allegations have a basis. And once again the party will pay the price in the GE 14.
24. The claim by the President that it will be “leading the glorious fight to death to defend the Malays and Bumiputras” also cannot be accepted because Najib abolished the New Economic Policy and suppressed Malay contractors until they are forced to fold up. Scholarships for Malay students are reduced.
25. All these disappointed the Malays, so much so UMNO members applauded when Najib was asked to resign.
26. If Najib resigns it will be well received and only then will he be a magnanimous gentleman.

TAKLIMAT NAJIB
8.Tetapi kehilangan wang Kerajaan terlalu besar.
12.Tuduhan dibuat bahawa Bank Negara tahu. Apa buktinya Bank Negara tahu.
Hutang sebanyak RM 8 billion diambil alih menjadi jumlah hutang RM50 billion.
18.Stesyen digabung menjadi Edra.
25.Pendapatan dinaikkan tetapi daya beli turun kerana nilai Ringgit jatuh. Pengangguran bertambah, termasuk dikalangan lulusan universiti.

1MDB CLARIFIES
1. Thank you for the clarification on issues raised. Because you missed out on many things in your earlier statements, I had to make certain assumptions and ask for clarification.
2. Now may I explain why you are still misleading the readers in my blog and others.
3. You said 1MDB is a strategic investment company. When you sell assets which you acquired at a very low price from the Government and pocket the difference is that what is called strategic investments? Buying business at higher than market price is that what you regard as strategic investment?
4. You are also going to sell 40% of former Government land at Sungai Besi which you acquired at below market price is that strategic investment? Sounds more like selling APs (Approved Permits) which you get free from the Government.
5. Are these how 1MDB makes money through strategic investments?
6. While Edra is sold to a foreign company you try to sell land to local Government linked company which collect funds from the people. So people , pilgrims and Malaysian citizens have to buy 1MDB land, so you can pay your debts. You are in fact forcing citizens to pay your debt with their hard-earned money. Is this also strategic investment?
7. How did you raise RM42 billion? Is it through borrowing? How much of that is borrowed in Malaysian Ringgit? Show documentary evidence and the banks you borrowed from. If you are paying them back in Ringgit, the devalued Ringgit will not be of the same value as the Ringgit you borrowed. Each US Dollar equivalent will be one Ringgit less. The banks will carry this loss. Yes this is strategic investment except when borrowing you did not know the Ringgit would devalue so much.
8. If you borrow in US Dollars, explain how much and from whom. Did you pay 10 per cent commission to Goldman Sachs? In which case you will be paying the 5.9 per cent interest on 100 per cent of the loans but getting only 90 per cent of the total loan. Again show documentary proof. Don’t just say it is not true.
9. If you had borrowed US Dollars, the value of each would have been RM3.2 per dollar. Now you would have to pay back at RM4.2 per dollar. How much dollar investments have you made? Apart from the US2 billion Dollar you say you have earned, you seem to be unable to pay the interest on your loans. Please give documentary proof of your profits, how it was made and from whom. You are not a private company. You are a Government company and any loss you make will be borne by the public. They have a right to know.
10. You say that the MACC had verified that the RM2.6 billion in Najib’s private account did not come from 1MDB. Government departments and personnel are now under pressure. They can be sacked or transferred. A DPP was dismissed.
11. People making reports are being arrested. Their lawyers can be arrested. People living under threats are not reliable when making statements.
12. So we cannot accept the statement by the MACC personnel just like that. We want proof. We want to know how RM2.6 billion in PM’s account is not from 1MDB. We must know where all the RM42 billion are. Your explanations are without proofs.
13. Explaining that you have more assets than the loans you have taken is not enough. Every cent of the money you borrowed must be accounted for. Where is the money from the Caymans? In what form is it? You said you saw it. Is it cash or accounts in bank books. Why did the bank say it doesn’t have the money? Which banks now have the money? Who is entitled to withdraw the money? What transactions have been made. If you say it is a secret, I have a right to say you want to keep the amount and the transactions secret. After all RM2.6 billion was secretly put into the private account of the PM.
14. The rule is that when RM2.6 billion is transacted it must have the approval of the Central Bank. The money had moved in and moved out and resides God knows where. The Central bank must know. Yet report by the Central Bank on, I believe, the movement of the RM2.6 billion has been dismissed by the new Attorney-General.
15. The Prime Minister says it is for UMNO. According to the Societies Act, UMNO must report all financial transactions. There is no evidence that it has done so. It is in breach of the Societies Act. UMNO was declared illegal in my time. The reasons were hardly serious. Now UMNO had not reported and not taken action to recover the money and report to the Registrar of Societies. What does the law say the Registrar should do?
16. It is the norm for an external audit to be done. This is big money. Just saying it is a donation is not enough. Give credible evidence. Government institutions have been stopped from auditing and reporting on 1MDB. There is a deliberate attempt to hide the activities of 1MDB, the 2.6 billion Ringgit in Najib’s personal account, the transactions invoving Petrosaudi, Caymans, Seychelles, Hong Kong, Siwtzerland, the United Kingdom and America.
17. Until the Government allows for proper audit by non-Government auditors, I am entitled to make reasonable assumption and to assume that there is more than just hanky-panky in the transactions of the 1MDB.
VERSI BM
1MDB menjelaskan
A DPP ditolak.

ENG VERSION
LETTER TO MEMBERS AND UMNO GRASSROOT LEADERS
1. Malaysia, my beloved country, is a result of the struggle of UMNO as a party, not by anyone or someone.
2. Therefore, when Dato Onn Jaafar, the founder and the first President of the Party, made proposals contrary to party struggle, his proposals were rejected and he quited the party.
3. Today we find that UMNO is owned by the President and the struggle of UMNO is limited to supporting the President. Loyalty of members is limited to the President, no more to the party, much less to race, religion and nation.
4. This became clear when the slogan 1-Malaysia which is similar to Malaysian Malaysia is introduced, previous colonizer appointed as advisors, use of Western consultants, the establishment of Pemandu to replace the Economic Planning Unit, the payment of high salaries to non-governmental organizations, putting the country at the behest of Singapore, borrowing billions of Ringgit most of which are invested overseas, establishing 1MDB with large borrowed capital, not being able to show proof where the capital investment is located, failure to pay interest on the debts, purchasing Government land at a very low price, selling these land to Government institutions at a price 50 times higher, Pilgrims Fund Board money similarly used, these excessive profits are used to cover losses of 1MDB, 2.6 billion Ringgit suddenly appearing in Najib’s personal account, the so-called donations from Arabs, investigations by the Anti-Corruption Agency and Bank Negara terminated by Najib before action can be taken, the public prosecutor dismissed, the PAC dissolved so that it cannot investigate 1MDB, luxurious lifestyle beyond means of a Prime Minister, raising the minimum wage so much so factories relocate to other countries and workers lose their jobs, big fall in the value of the currency and stock value, imposing GST resulting in small businesses being forced to close shop, increase in the cost of living, thereby increasing the burden of the people, those who make comments are questioned by police, accused of sabotaging banks and the country’s finance and putting in custody under a law that is wrong.
5. There is a big possibility that the party would lose in the 14th General Election just as like Selangor and Penang. BN and UMNO will become an opposition party. As an opposition party that is not much that can be done by UMNO for race, nation and religion.
6. Support for Najib may earn favours for specific people today. But when the BN loses all favours will be lost.
7. On the other hand, if Najib were to resign from being the UMNO President and Prime Minister, most likely UMNO will recover and BN will win the GE 14. With this, race, nation and religion will be more secure. The nation will move forward again and all people will be blessed.
8. O members and UMNO grassroot leaders. Think carefully. Do not support and be blindly faithful for favours you gain today. Our race will curse us if the fate of the race becomes worse because we are greedy and forget UMNO’s struggle. And all the blessings that we got will be destroyed, in fact the Government of the opposition party will be acting on your mistakes when they rule.
9. All these will discredit Malaysia and harm its citizens.
10. O members and UMNO grassroot leaders.
11. If you want to be safe and win reject the leadership of DSN before GE14.
12. Reject his leadership prior to the GE14 so that UMNO is safe and be able to win the election and remain as a Government that is fair to all.
13. I write in my blog because strict restrictions are in place so that I could not meet and talk with members of UMNO and the public. Machinery being used, consisting of Government bodies and the party is very efficient. It by itself is proof of offenses being committed.

1MDB EXITS POWER BUSINESS
1. It is reported that 1MDB would reduce between RM16 bil to RM18 bil of its debts after selling “Edra”.
2. I am trying to work out how the savings are achieved.
3. 1MDB bought the power plants together with debts of RM6 bil for RM 18 billion Ringgit. CGN pays RM 9.83 billion for 100% of the energy assets.
4. It should be noted that at the time 1MDB purchased the power plants, the Ringgit was at 3.2 per US Dollar. It is now at 4.2 Ringgit per US Dollar. In US dollar terms the 9.83 billion Ringgit paid by the Chinese Company is worth much less than the 9.83 billion Ringgit paid by 1MDB.
5. If the money borrowed by 1MDB is in Ringgit the loss would be minimal. But if 1MDB had borrowed in USD, it stands to lose 1 Ringgit for every dollar borrowed. In other word what 1MDB gets from the sale would not be able to pay fully the debts in USD raised by 1MDB.
6. CGN is reported to have bought 100% of the energy assets of 1MDB. Does the debt of the power plants totalling 6 billion Ringgit which 1MDB had assumed also regarded as the assets which have been sold to CGN.
7. Then there are other questions which needs clarification. e.g will Petronas be selling gas to the power plants? If so at what price.
8. Having sold Edra for RM9.83 billion, how does this reduce 1MDB debts by RM16-RM18 billion. Again considering the depreciation of the Ringgit, how will the debts in USD be reduced?
9. Is the purchase of the power plants by foreign buyers a form of foreign direct investments? The money brought in would go out to pay foreign debts. And the amount going out would be far more than the inflow. Does not sound like FDI to me.
10. Will the Government allow the full repatriation of the profits of these plants in Malaysia. It should be noted that China has a rule in which repatriation is to be in the form of export of Chinese products and not cash.
11. How much control will the Government have over a foreign-owned utility? Price fixing which may cause a loss to the company may result in subsidy by the Government.
VERSI BM
1MDB KELUAR DARI PERNIAGAAN POWER

19.Kata pepatah berani kerana benar; takut kerana salah.

Facing Challenges
1. In human life, challenges are common. Of course if anyone engages in politics, there are more challenges to be faced. If you want to continue in politics these challenges must be accepted. Those who were not able to face and overcome these challenges it is better to leave the political field.
2. When I became president of UMNO and the Prime Minister challenges never stopped. Of course there were attempts to unseat me as UMNO president.
3. Among the biggest challenges was when Tengku Razaleigh was nominated to run for the presidency of UMNO.
4. We have accepted the democratic system in the selection of leaders. What Tengku Razaleigh did was legitimate in a democratic system. There was nothing I could do to avoid being challenged by him.
5. So Tengku Razaleigh and many of his supporters campaigned at party divisions and branches throughout Malaysia. They were free to meet with members, branches and divisions of UMNO.
6. Tengku Razaleigh’s position as Industry Minister in the government were not affected. Likewise, many ministers and UMNO leaders who sided with him.
7. Voting during UMNO general meeting went well. As it fell on Friday, voting was stopped and supporters of Tengku Razaleigh was able to continue campaigning among the delegates.
8. Counting of votes was made many times because there were some that were not happy with the results. It was only at eight o’clock at night that a decision can be declared.
9. I won by only 43 votes. I accepted. Events that occurred after that are well known and do not need me to repeat here.
10. This December 2015, the UMNO General Meeting will be held.
11. There would not be any election whatsoever. But somehow for whatever reason, efforts are being made by UMNO that debate on certain subject matters, especially 1MDB and the sum of 2.6 billion ringgit in the personal account of Dato Sri Najib, must not be raised.
12. The conference will be closed to the public. Not all speeches by delegates will be broadcasted. Only the president’s speech will be broadcasted.
13. By right Muhyiddin Yassin, as Deputy President will open the conference of the wings – youth, women and women’s youth. Warnings have been given so that UMNO members will not speak on this matter.
14. What kind of UMNO General Meeting is this?
15. I will not be running for any office. But big efforts are being made to silence me, to stop me from meeting with members of UMNO, even with the public. Conference rooms where meetings could be held which can be attended by me are not available as all owners fear reprimand by the Government.
16. There is a climate of fear which prevents all activities concerned with criticizing the Government. It seems to have become a non-written crime. But these allegations are made in this supposedly democratic country. Anyone who tries to sabotage democratic Malaysia is liable to be imprisoned up to 15 years. But in actual fact the government itself is sabotaging democratic Malaysia.
17. Various undemocratic pressures are being deployed.
18. There are people faced with inspection of their income, supposedly for not paying income taxes. There are people being questioned by police. Some are detained not based on any law. Some are threatened with loss of contracts etc.
19. As the saying goes, courage because of truth, fear because of wrongdoings. Is it because of wrongdoings that there is so much fear for 1MDB and 2.6 billion ringgit being discussed.
November 13, 2015
THE POLICE INTERVIEW
1. There were a large number of reporters waiting to interview me about the questioning by the police that the IGP and the Minister of Home Affairs had promised.
2. I was not sure how to handle the reporters. I know the police is a professional institution. It works for the elected Government. Still I was not quite sure why the police i.e. the Government wanted to question me. Had I committed a crime or is it that they wanted some information from me for the prosecution of others.
3. I had been interviewed by the police and the AG’s chambers before. They wanted to make me a Government witness. I listened to them and concluded that there was no case for the accused person to answer. So I refused to be a prosecution witness.
4. This time it is not about making me a witness. They wanted answers to questions. My lawyers advised me not to answer most of those questions. So I did not.
5. Thinking it over afterwards I concluded that they were trying to make what I did or said in public before were some kind of wrong-doings, to even be some kind of criminal act. Although they did not say I would be charged, but there was just a hint that I might be charged.
6. I re-examined the questions posed by the police and I cannot see how what I did or said can be against any law.
7. I did attend a rally that had not been permitted by police. There were more than 50,000 people at that rally. If I did something wrong then 50,000 people at that rally also did something wrong.
8. To be just, the law must apply to everyone equally. To single me out for the offense of attending the illegal rally would be unjust. It would be a kind of victimisation. Unless the Government wishes to be unjust, it cannot take action against me alone.
9. Another question was about asking Najib to step down. I have urged people to overthrow Najib. I had asked the Tunku and Abdullah Badawi to step down.
10. I did not advocate violence. In a democracy the overthrow of a Prime Minister or a Government is a common thing. Recently the PM of Australia was overthrown by his own party. The PM of Romania resigned because a night-club caught fire and some people died. Najib himself overthrew Abdullah who was an elected PM.
11. Overthrowing a democratically elected Prime Minister through street demonstration is also normal.
12. So what is wrong with my attending a demonstration to demand that Najib be overthrown as PM. Even supporting a vote of no confidence in his leadership is not wrong except in a dictatorship.
13. What would be considered wrong would be resorting to violence, to a civil war or revolution. But Najib is trying to make out that asking him to resign is undemocratic and against the law. The questions by the police seem to imply this.
14. I often refer to the loss of money by 1MDB and the 2.6 billion Ringgit in Najib’s private account. I openly declared I don’t believe Najib’s 2.6 billion Ringgit is a donation from an Arab. I believe it is from 1MDB. Najib has not proven it is not 1MDB money. When you take something that does not belong to you, it is a kind of stealing.
15. When I was PM I was accused of corruption, of cronyism, of being autocratic etc. I took no action to make any accusation against me a crime. I believe it is normal for such allegations to be made. If the people really believe these things about me they could throw me out. But despite attempts to end my premiership, the people gave me strong support during five elections. They did not seem to want to be rid of me. Even when challenged by Tengku Razaleigh, I had more support than him. I revived UMNO and it won support and the next election.
16. If I were defeated I would have accepted it. That is the democratic way.
17. By saying that Najib had stolen Government money, it can only be defamation if he could prove he did not. So far he has not been able to convincingly prove that the 2.6 billion in his private account did not come from 1MDB and therefore not from the Government. He has stopped investigations on the 2.6 billion in his account. That practically proves that he feared the investigations might prove the allegations against him have substance. Appointing other people to replace the original officers is interference in the work of the investigators. The replacements do not create credibility.
18. Defamation is only defamation if you say something that is false about a person. Prove that what I said is false then sue me for defamation. That is the way to go.
19. It seems to me and I may be wrong of course, that the kind of questions posed was to stop me from going on to do or say all those things I did. If I stop then Najib would be free from exposure of the wrong things that he has done or will do. People might then forget.
20. The courts may decide that I had committed a crime for what I did or said. But until I am found guilty by the courts, I will continue to believe and say that I had done nothing wrong, nothing undemocratic.
21. So I will continue to ask Najib to resign, to disbelieve his explanation about how he got the 2.6 billion Ringgit, to criticise the loans taken by 1MDB and the losses incurred by it.
22. This is my right as a citizen. To deny me of these rights would really be undemocratic.
VERSI BM
TEMUDUGA POLIS
