The Review Board takes up “The King’s Ransom”

The Review Board The ladies of The Review Board have been staying busy keeping up with King Bewilliam’s bewildering adventures. Catch their comments about The King’s Ransom, Book Two of The Bewildering Adventures of King Bewilliam.
As I did with their review of The Lost King I found their observations informative and encouraging. I endeavor to please with Book 3 in this series, The King’s Redress, slated for a Summer 2014 release.

Thanks again, Review Board, for your time and diligent attention.

A trio of reviews

The Review Baord Now how cool is this? Reading this trio of reviews  of The Lost King is a little like sitting in on a book club discussion.
Thanks Truth, Vision and Unleashed for your kind words and cogent criticisms. I learned a lot from your observations. Even better, I was encouraged to KEEP WRITING!

News for readers and writers

Have you been enjoying getting reading recommendations from The Fussy Librarian?
Here’s a similar service starting up: Bublish is an award-winning social book discovery and commerce platform for writers and readers. In January, Bublish is launching a new service for readers. You can sign up to receive weekly recommendations, special offers and free eBooks in the genres you love. The service is free and you can sign up in seconds at http://bublish.com/You’ll receive your first special-offer email in January.

I also want to thank the Masquerade Crew for sharing my thoughts on writing a sequel and on the myth and reality of an author’s second book. Fortunately, third books don’t seem to be cursed so I have every reason to hope that you’ll enjoy Naked Came the Sharks, my third published book, and The King’s Redress, Book Three in The Bewildering Adventures of King Bewilliam, which I plan to have for you Summer 2014.

More “Sharks”

Practice makes, well, let’s say I’m getting good at this. Naked Came the Sharks passed the www.smashwords.com autovetter the first time with no problems so it’s on to manual review for inclusion in the Premium Catalog. As soon as it passes muster, it’s off to Nook, Kobo and other epub retailers. I’ll send up a flare as soon as those formats are available but meanwhile other epub formats are available from the smashwords site.

Good news for readers and authors

Last week it was all about The Fussy Librarian, a great way for readers to get personalized reading recommendations emailed to them.
Now here’s another cool way for authors to make their work known and for readers to discover new favorites. It’s called Bublish. I think this is really attractive and if you find a work intriguing you can order it right from the book “bubble” by clicking on the book cover image.

Here’s another cool development. Amazon.com has decided to drop the payment threshold. Readers probably don’t know that authors haven’t gotten paid until they have earned a minimum amount. I have had international sales but not enough to meet the payment threshold so I’ve had royalties held hostage.

But from this point forward, 60 days after a sale all those dollars, pounds, rupees and other coins of various realms will be making their way to my account. Good news all around.
