The Homophobia From "Straight Allies" Going After Madison Cawthorn, Ryan Field Books

The Homophobia From "Straight Allies" Going After Madison Cawthorn

There's a young conservative politician out there named Madison Cawthorn and he's unique for many reasons. One, I think he's the first member of Congress born in the 1990s. Two, he had a serious accident that left him in a wheelchair. Three, he's extremely attractive. And four, he's known for doing outrageous things...for a conservative republican. A photo of him dressed in lingerie surfaced last week.

This week on Twitter, the v...

The New "Queer As Folk" Reboot Looks Authentic and Honest with No Cultural Appropriation, Ryan Field Books

The New "Queer as Folk" Reboot Looks Authentic and Honest with No Cultural Appropriation

I just read about the new Queer as Folk Reboot and it doesn't look as if it's going to be straight washed. Openly queer Stephen Dunn is the creator, the writer, and it looks as though he's in charge of the content. That's a huge relief given that so many TV shows, books, and films with queer content are done by straights. And Jaclyn Moore who is transgender and did Dear White People is also writing and produ...

Now They are Taking Poppers From Gay Men, Ryan Field Books

Now They Are Taking Poppers From Gay Men

I remember the first time I ever set for in a gay club. It was in New Hope, Pa, and the club was called "The New Prelude." It was a low-slung building with no architectural significance, but it was painted pink and purple. The disco music was so loud you could hear the base in the farthest section of the parking lot. There's a photo on this website.

I was excited and curious. It was the first time I'd ever seen so many gay men in one place. They were danc...

UK Soccer Player Jake Daniels Comes Out As Gay, Ryan Field Books

UK Soccer Player Jake Daniels Comes Out As Gay

This is making news all over the world. The well-known UK soccer player, Jake Daniels, just came out as gay. He's only 17 years old and Brave AF. He is also THE first UK player to come out in years. Even though we know there are and have been other gay players, non have come out, not since Justin Fashanu in 1990. That's a long time for the rest of these guys to remain in the closet.

In any event, maybe Jake Daniels will spark some influence and exci...

Gay Man In Florida Who Was Beaten By A Family Speaks Out, Ryan Field Books

Gay Man Who Was Beaten by a Family Speaks Out

I posted about this a few weeks ago and this is a follow-up. A gay man in Pompano Beach, Florida was beaten by a family so violently that he couldn't see. According to this, he was beaten by this family because he was dating their son.

“Definitely, they were trying to kill me. They were trying to hurt me,” he told the station. “I was thinking I was going to die, and there’s no way I was going to walk out of there alive.”

Here's more. Even though the v...

The Cultural Appropriation of Gay Men: Jesse Williams Plays Gay For Pay On Broadway in 'Take Me Out', Ryan Field Books

The Cultural Appropriation of Gay Men: Jessee Williams Plays Gay For Pay On Broadway in Take Me Out

There's a Broadway Play right now that's been around for a while. It's titled, Take Me Out, and it stars a straight actor playing gay named, Jesse Williams. I think the most disappointing part of all this is that the author of the play, Richard Greenberg, is gay himself...at least I think he is. I did research it, but it's not easy in this case.

With that said, Jesse Williams did an interview about...

It's Time For Gay Men To Admit and Confront Cultural Appropriation, Misha Collins Comes Out As Straight and then Posts a Photo of His Face in Flowers, Ryan Field Books

It's Time For Gay Men To Admit and Confront Cultural Appropriation

From Hollywood hiring straight male actors to play gay for pay, to the straight women who write m/m romance novels and dominate the entire genre, it's time that gay men realized the importance of cultural appropriation, and confronted it. We are probably one of the last marginalized groups who get no respect or consideration with regard to cultural appropriation. But even sadder, many gay men don't even realize they are being app...

Why You Shouldn't Compare My Gay Marriage To Your Abortion, Bette Midler's Cruel Tweet About Women Breastfeeding, Ryan Field Books

Why You Shouldn't Compare My Gay Marriage To Your Abortion

Before I get into any of this I'm not fond of the idea of overturning Roe. Even though I believe abortion is going to go down in history as one of the worst and darkest things about our society, I do support the right to choose.

With that said, I see so many people comparing same-sex marriage to abortion and I'm sick of it. The celebration of my marriage should not be compared to your abortion. No one does this with hetero marriages and I...

Gay High School Student Zander Moricz Says the Don't Say Gay Law is Silencing Him Right Now, Ryan Field Books

Gay High School Student Zander Moricz Says the Don't Say Gay Law is Silencing Him Right Now

A Florida High School Senior named Zander Moricz who is also the class president is suing the state of Florida over the don't say gay law. The bill hasn't even gone into effect yet and the problems are already beginning. Zander's principal is allegedly threatening to cut the microphone during Zander's graduation speech if Zander mentions anything related to his LGBTQIA activism. And this is a really brigh...

Florida Students Fight Back Over Don't Say Gay Bill and Yearbook Censorship, Ryan Field Books

Florida Students Fight Back Over Don't Say Gay Bill and Yearbook Censorship

It's encouraging to see this happen in Florida. There is this superintendent of schools in Florida who decided to allegedly censor the school yearbook (she doesn't believe it was censorship).

Apparently, they included photos of a school walkout in protest of the don't say gay bill. In the photos, they were waving rainbow flags and signs that read, "love is love." But this superintendent of schools ordered stickers to cover...
