Internet Victim's Troll Fight is Backed by High Court

I've been following issues like this for a long time: Internet bullying, trolls, and how the courts will eventually have to step in and do something about it to set some standards. Precedents will need to be set as more and more people start to use the Internet.

So far most average people in the mainstream use the Internet for basic things. They shop sometimes. They download coupons. And whenever there's a medical issue/crisis, they google it to find out more information.

But for the most part...

"Is It Unusual for Straight Guys to Frequent Gay Bars?" Milkshake Festival in Amsterdam!

I found an interesting piece about straight guys in Towerload...or I should say one straight guy...who likes to hang out in gay bars with his gay buddy, Harry.

The guy's brand new wife wrote a letter to Dear Abby:

Dan has been going out with Harry to gay bars where he gets “hit on” often. I can tell he likes the attention. I should also mention that Dan seems to be considerably less interested in sex lately.

His going to gay bars every night is beginning to worry me. If I say anything to him ab...

Eight Different Car Models to Be Discontinued...

Here's the link to the eight cars being discontinued. It's interesting, especially when you read the excerpt below.

One of the things that makes Toyota, Honda, BMW and Mercedes-Benz so efficient and successful in the auto industry is their ability to refresh the same cars
year after year, decade after decade.

I've always wondered about this. Tony and I looked into buying American cars the last time we went car shopping and decided against it. The main reason was we don't put heavy miles on cars,...

Excerpt: "Jonah Sweet of Delancey Street"

I'm now winding down to final edits and I wanted to post an excerpt from "Jonah Sweet of Delancey Street" before the book goes live on Amazon next week. I'm not sure of the exact release date. But I'll post soon about this.

Excerpt:

When Jonah went home that night, he started practicing his cutlery skills right after dinner. His mom and dad lived in one of those older row homes in Queens. The house had been built so the front door opened into the living room, the living room led to the dining r...

Writers Learn from Pixar; Power Readers Invade BEA; Ways to Feed Pigs; Sarah Wendell Promotes Romance Authors in Wash Post

From Galleycat: "What writers can learn from Pixar."

#17: No work is ever wasted. If it’s not working, let go and move on – it’ll come back around to be useful later.
#18: You have to know yourself: the difference between doing your best & fussing. Story is testing, not refining.
#19: Coincidences to get characters into trouble are great; coincidences to get them out of it are cheating.
#20: Exercise: take the building blocks of a movie you dislike. How d’you rearrange them into what you DO like...

Brittani Senser - After Love ft. Levi Johnston

A Brittani Senser fan read one of my posts on Levi Johnston's book, "Deer in the Headlights," and pointed me to this youtube video. I like Brittani; the video is pretty good.

But please IGNORE the political ad at the beginning of the video if it shows up. It did for me when I viewed it the first time and it's not doing it now. I just like to make it clear I do not endorse or support any political candidates on this blog. I write about them sometimes, but that's as far as it goes.

Nice Review for Chase of a Lifetime; Authors Quitting Their Day Jobs

Someone pointed me to a nice (unsolicited) review for "Chase of a Lifetime," here. I don't do google alerts and I'm always very thankful when people let me know things like this. I'm also very thankful to the reader/blogger, "Oh MY Gigi!," who wrote the review. The reason I don't do google alerts is because I find them intrusive at times. I did them up until April of 2009. I don't miss them.

I do know that some would not agree with me on this. Working as a career writer, they would tell me I h...

Loveyoudivine Release: Something for St. Jude

We're still in edits with my newest release from loveyoudivine.com. But I figured I'd share a few raw samples of the tag line, the blurb, and the excerpt that will be pubbed.

This is a short story, about 8,000 words. And I would consider it gay erotic romance because there is a tender story, with some back story about both characters as well. One is a cowboy, the other is a librarian.

Tag Line: Everyone has that one special moment he’ll never forget.

Blurb:
Jude Franklin lives a quiet conservativ...

"Chase of a Lifetime" on Kobo and ARe; "Reminisce Magazine" Now on Kindle Fire

In the next few weeks I'll be working on getting "Chase of a Lifetime" distributed to other web sites where e-books are sold. Two of them will be the Kobo bookstore and Allromanceebooks.com. The reason why I haven't distributed the book anywhere other than Amazon up until now is because I opted for the Lender Program with Amazon and I had to sign an exclusive with them for a certain period of time. I thought it was worth it, and I'm doing the same thing with my next Amazon release, "Jonah Swe...
