Readers of M/M Romance and M/M Fiction Check Out This New Blog
Anyone who is a fan of M/M romance or M/M Fiction (I didn't say gay fiction because it's just easier and people know M/M better...I think), should check out this new blog I found..."For the Love of Men."
It's written by Donovan Starr, an author I've read and reviewed, and loved. You can get there from here. I've also linked in my blog roll.
I spend a lot of time working online for various things. One of the ways I de-stress is to read blogs. But lately I haven't found any that keep me interest...

Cover Preview: "Something for Saint Jude"

Cover preview for new Loveyoudivine.com release sometime this month. "Something for Saint Jude" is a western themed short erotic romance with a very polite cowboy and a very ultra conservative librarian.
Though there's nothing religious about the story, it was a title I had once planned on using for a mainstream novel. That novel became something else and I kept the title in the back of my mind for a long time. It seemed right for this story.

Donovan Starr's "Pounding My Professor"

Here's the review I left on Amazon for Donovan Starr's "Pounding my Professor." Below that, I wanted to add a few more comments.

All Male Romance...Author of the Week
I'm author of the week at All Male Romance and I wanted to link to it, here.
They've re-posted something I wrote here on this blog a few weeks ago, about "Jonah Sweet of Delancey Street," my new Amazon release, and my experiences with self-publishing so far.
I also get into a few of the reasons why I decided to self-publish on Amazon. People seem curious about this whenever an author who has worked with publishers does it. I've been as honest as I could get.
What I didn't mention in the post i...

Parody of "Why French Women Don't Get Fat:""Why Gay Men Don't Get Fat" by Simon Doonan

I've been a huge fan of Simon Doonan for a long time, and I don't think I've ever posted anything about him here. I realized this while I was reading the latest issue of Architectural Digest last night, when I spotted a feature with Simon Doonan and Jonathan Adler where he referred to Adler as his "husband." Not his partner or lover. But his husband.

I thought that was nice. Living in Bucks County, PA, where gay marriage is not legal and probably won't be legal any time soon, I refer to Tony...

Why Newbie Author Ryan Quinn Isn't Thrilled About Being on Amazon Gay Bestseller List

Just when I thought I'd seen everything, something like this pops up on the Interwebs. New author, Ryan Quinn, just had a coming of age novel released and it made #1 on the Amazon bestseller list in Gay/Lesbian Fiction.
Instead of thanking his readers like most authors with any sense of decorum would do, Quinn writes this piece for the Huff Post:
I admit I did a little fist pump. But after the triumph sunk in, I settled on an emotion that was distinctly more conflicted.
I'm posting excerpts of t...

Freedom to Marry Launches New Campaign
I've posted before that I'm on the Freedom to Marry mailing list. Whenever I get e-mails I usually post them here for those who either aren't familiar or normally wouldn't see this information. There's also a link to a video that's interesting. In a way I know how the two guys in the video feel. For years when Tony worked in corporate America where gay is not discussed...ever...we experienced the same types of things.
I'm not a huge fan of online petitions. I don't think they do much good. But...

Is Gay Dinnertime Different than Straight Dinnertime?

Is gay dinnertime different than straight dinnertime? I know that might sound like a ridiculous question. But I'm going into details below to show why I'm asking.
I'm not sure when gay men in other parts of the country normally eat dinner, but I know what they do here, in NY and Philadelphia, and in places like South Beach, Key West, and Palm Springs. I know this is common in Boston and Maine and Provincetown as well.
What prompted this post was a status update I saw on facebook last week fro...

Some Thoughts and Support for a Friend of M/M Romance...

Some of you in the m/m romance world may know an online friend of mine, Mary Gresham. She's active on social media, especially Facebook. And I've seen her comment on many blog posts.
She's been a huge fan of m/m romance and gay fiction for a long time. And she's always there to support bloggers and authors and publishers whenever they need it. And she never asks for anything in return. Never.
She's also there to offer support to independent bloggers all the time, on a more personal level. Mos...

For the Love of Men: Donovan Starr Interviewed Me...

Author Donovan Starr interviewed me recently for his blog, "For the Love of Men," and the questions were things I liked because they aren't things I talk about all the time here on my own blog. So a huge thanks to Donovan!
Here's a link to "For the Love of Men." The interview was posted today sometime.
I also think you'll enjoy this blog in a general sense regardless of my interview. It might even be something you'd like to follow in the future. It's executed very well, and very simple to navig...
